Chapter 15: A Happy Holiday

"Let's wait for everyone to arrive before I start eating." Just then, Xiaoli's father also walked over. "Abujji, sit next to your mother. I've already prepared the sauce for you. Do you want to add some vinegar?"

"Ahmni, please come and collect the money," Li Shenxing called to the auntie sitting in the store watching TV.

After paying the owner, the three of them each picked a water gun in their favorite color and continued towards the park.

Before entering the park, Li Shenxing first took them to the washbasin at the entrance to fill the water guns.

"Later, I'll turn my back and count, and Youngseok and Chanzhen can find a place to hide. When I finish counting, I'll start looking for you. When I find you, we'll start the battle. Whoever gets hit by the water gun first loses. Understand?"

Hearing Li Shenxing start counting, the two immediately ran into the park to hide.

"What about the wedding dress? You should prepare that early."

"Don't talk about the wedding dress yet. Have you discussed the wedding date with the family?" Xiaoli's mother pointed out the key issue.

"Oppa said we'll announce it when we go to Jeju Island during the New Year." Xiaoli, who was peeling cashews, didn't even look up.

"Try to behave better then, don't be so carefree like now." Xiaoli's mother said, looking at her unambitious appearance.

"Mother, I know my limits. But honestly, getting along with you is really nice, it feels like being with family, very relaxed. Father also jokes a lot, the atmosphere at home is great. Oppa said he grew up like this with his parents."

"Who knows how many times you knocked on the wooden fish in your past life to have such good fortune to meet a good man like Shenxing." The second sister said with a hint of envy.

The eldest sister changed the topic and started chatting with the second sister about family matters.

The three of them who had been playing in the park for over an hour returned just before dinner.

"Look at your sweaty faces, go wash up and then come out to eat." Seeing the happy faces of the two children, the mothers didn't know what to say. After all, their father had to work to support the family, so he didn't have much time to play with them. Seeing them play so happily with Shenxing, they felt a bit heartache.

For dinner, they had dumplings and the beef Li Shenxing brought. The beef was very fresh, so they grilled it. The adults, who hadn't eaten their fill in the afternoon, could now enjoy it to their heart's content.

Around 9 PM, after eating the red bean porridge, Li Shenxing and Xiaoli bid farewell to Xiaoli's parents and went home.
