Before he could even chat with the grandmothers, the eager old ladies left with just a quick, "Take care of the house," and hurried off with their bags. The other family members watched them leave, at a loss for what to do next.
The production team had to take out the task left by the elderly. Yoo Jae-suk took it and, along with Yoon Jong-shin who was sitting next to him, held up the calendar with the task written on it to the camera: "Family Task: 1. Cook for the children 2. Work in the fields 3. Take care of the house."
When the other members heard about cooking for the children, they were all puzzled. What children?
"Could it be the livestock the grandmothers raised?" Lee Seung-gi thought for a moment and said.
"Oh, that's very likely. PD Jang, is that what Seung-gi said correct?" Yoo Jae-suk also realized.
After getting confirmation from the writer, they went to the backyard and found the "children" the grandmothers mentioned: a group of piglets and a few young goats.
Cook for the livestock? How? They had barely cooked for themselves! Except for Lee Seung-gi and Kim Soo-rou, the other members were all at a loss.
With no clear idea, they returned to the courtyard of the grandmother's house and sat down to rest. It was already noon, and everyone was hungry, except for Hae-ri and Lee Seung-gi, who had already eaten.
"I'm so hungry~ Let's eat first," the family members all said.
"If you want to eat, you have to cook it yourself. We don't provide meals," PD Jang said.
Yoo Jae-suk pointed to the task calendar left by the grandmothers and said, "Brother Soo-rou, call the village chief and see what we can eat."
Kim Soo-rou called the village chief using the number left by the grandmothers. After the call connected, he directly told the village chief that everyone was very hungry and asked if there was anything to eat. The village chief told them to go to the stream and catch loaches to make spicy soup, using bamboo poles and worms, and then hung up.
Using a bamboo pole and worms to catch loaches... would it be that simple?...
But regardless, they had no choice but to follow the instructions. Since PD Jang said they would be getting wet, everyone changed clothes.
The men changed quickly, just putting on big shorts.
"Oh, Hae-ri, are you wearing Seung-gi's pants?" Yoo Jae-suk teased as Hae-ri came out of the house.
Hearing Yoo Jae-suk's words, everyone looked at Hae-ri's pants, and indeed, they looked very much like men's pants.
"Yes, Oppa Yoo Jae-suk is right. What's the problem? Can't I wear his clothes?" Hae-ri admitted frankly.
This left Yoo Jae-suk speechless.
"Let's go, let's go, to catch loaches."
With the bamboo poles and a bag of worms provided by the production team, the family members headed towards the stream.
A small dirt road ran between the mountains and the fields, surrounded by lush flowers and trees, and the air was fresh. This made the city-dwelling family members feel very curious and relaxed.
Seeing everyone busy admiring the scenery and not talking much, Hae-ri had a mischievous idea.
Yoo Jae-suk was leading the way when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his buttocks and couldn't help but cry out, "Ah ha~!"
Rubbing his buttocks and turning around, he saw the culprit was Hae-ri and asked, puzzled, "Hae-ri~... Why? Why are you doing this to Oppa?"
Hae-ri smiled mischievously from behind, "Who made Oppa walk so slowly? I just wanted you to hurry up~!"
"If you want me to hurry up, you can just tell me~! Don't poke me anymore..." Seeing Hae-ri's playful smile, Yoo Jae-suk had no choice but to continue walking.
With the playful banter between Hae-ri and Yoo Jae-suk, the quiet journey became light and cheerful.
Not even a minute later, Yoo Jae-suk's buttocks were poked again by Hae-ri's bamboo pole.
"Hae-ri~ Why???" Yoo Jae-suk shouted, "Today... why are you doing this to Oppa! Seung-gi, control your Hae-ri~!" After being poked twice, he was really confused about what Hae-ri was up to today.
Lee Seung-gi shrugged, indicating he was powerless.
Hae-ri laughed and apologized, "Hehe~ No reason, just saw that Oppa was still walking slowly, so I just wanted to poke you... Oppa, sorry~!"
Such a matter-of-fact and insincere apology left Yoo Jae-suk speechless.
Yoon Jong-shin joked, "If you poke loaches with that force, they would definitely die. Grasshoppers are smaller than loaches but didn't die, it's really amazing~!"
"Ha ha ha..." *N
After walking a short distance, the stream nestled between two mountains came into view. The fresh air and the green mountains and clear water were like a painting, causing the family members to exclaim in amazement, "Wow!!! So beautiful~"
"The water quality here is very good, there must be plenty of fish," said Lee Seung-gi, who loved fishing, looking eager.
"Seung-gi saying there are fish makes me feel better," Yoo Jae-suk put his arm around Lee Seung-gi's shoulder and said with a hint of pride, "You guys don't know, Seung-gi is a fishing enthusiast and a skilled angler. He always has a good catch when he goes fishing."
Hearing Yoo Jae-suk's words, everyone felt more at ease, at least they wouldn't go hungry.
Arriving at the riverbank, they made some adjustments and started filming. Yoo Jae-suk announced, "We'll be catching loaches in the stream behind us."
Hae-ri asked, "Are there really loaches here?"
Kim Soo-rou replied confidently, "Yes, they hide in the crevices between the rocks." He grew up in the countryside and knew a lot about rural life.
"Ah~! Is that so..." Yoo Jae-suk responded.
Before Yoo Jae-suk could finish, Hae-ri suddenly interrupted, "What should we do now?"
"Of course, we should catch loaches!" Yoo Jae-suk said.
Hae-ri pressed on, "Should we catch loaches right away, or play a game first?"
Yoo Jae-suk lifted his straw hat and replied, "We came here to play a game, anyway. The village chief said we just need to put the fishing rods in the water."
It was clear to everyone that Hae-ri was arguing with Yoo Jae-suk, and everyone knew how close their relationship was. If it were someone else, they would have been scolded for being impolite.
Hae-ri immediately said, "Then let's set up the bamboo poles first." She didn't even wait for Yoo Jae-suk to finish speaking.
Yoo Jae-suk turned to Yoon Jong-shin, speechless, and said, "Hae-ri is moving the show along too quickly..."
Hae-ri defended herself, "What's wrong with being quick? How long are we going to stand here? I think we won't have lunch if we keep this up."
Yoon Jong-shin laughed, "After hosting with Shin Jung-hwan... it's become like this..."
Seeing Yoo Jae-suk still rambling, the anxious Hae-ri poked his chest with the bamboo pole, "Hurry up... don't waste time..."
Seeing Yoo Jae-suk being bullied by Hae-ri, the others found it amusing.
Yoo Jae-suk, feeling wronged, called out, "Hey! Hae-ri! Why are you poking me so much today... Seung-gi, please control her~!"
"Ha ha ha..." The members were almost laughing out loud at his pitiful expression.
