At this moment, Hyori and her second sister walked in.
"Mom, I'm back."
"Back is back. Don't start arguing with your second sister as soon as you come back. You've been arguing for so many years, haven't you had enough yet?" Mother-in-law said irritably.
"Who made Second Sister so close to Shenxing and not nice to me?" Hyori said resentfully.
"Oh, if I'm not close to my brother-in-law, should I be cold to him?"
"But I'm your sister too!"
Well, the two of them started arguing again.
"Enough, what are you arguing about? If you want to argue, go outside." Mother-in-law, unable to bear the noise, shouted loudly.
After scolding them, she turned and smiled, pulling Li Shenxing towards the living room, "Shenxing, let's go inside and sit down. Don't mind these two crazy girls."
Hyori and her second sister, who had been scolded, didn't say anything, glaring at each other as they followed behind into the living room.
To be honest, Mother-in-law was quite satisfied with Li Shenxing. First, he looked good and was tall. He was well-educated and polite. Moreover, he was economically capable and had a solid family background. Most importantly, he was gentle and considerate to Hyori, taking good care of her. He also cared about her and the old man, often bringing them health supplements and even giving them health guidance.
In the past, the old man had a bad back, but now, as long as he took care of it, there was no major problem. She herself had rheumatism in her hands, and Shenxing had found medicinal wine for her, applying and drinking it for her. After half a year of treatment, as long as she didn't touch cold water in winter, it basically wouldn't recur. Therefore, they were grateful to Li Shenxing, not just because of his relationship with Hyori, but also because he had helped them improve their health.
Although at first, when Hyori brought Li Shenxing home, they didn't say they disagreed, they were still a bit worried. However, after a long time of getting to know him, they now treated Li Shenxing like a son.
Walking into the living room, they didn't see Father-in-law. Li Shenxing asked Mother-in-law, "Is Father-in-law not at home yet?"
"Hey, that old man went out to play at noon. He'll come back later," Mother-in-law said disdainfully.
"Mom, Father is enjoying life. You should also go out more often and travel with Oppa. Don't stay at home all day, you'll get bored. You should learn from Father. If you decide where you want to go, I'll provide the funds."
"Good, good, good, I know you're filial, but we're old and can't go far." Mother-in-law smiled happily at Li Shenxing's words.
"How about this, Mom, Hyori and I have decided to have our wedding on May 20th next year at the villa in Jeju Island. At that time, you and Father can stay there for a few days and have a good time."
"Really?" Mother-in-law asked in pleasant surprise.
Hyori walked up to Mother-in-law and replied seriously, "Yes, it's confirmed."
"Oh, my little daughter is finally getting married, that's great, that's great." Mother-in-law, moved, hugged Hyori and choked out, "My little daughter is finally getting married, that's great, that's great."
Seeing Mother-in-law's happy tears, Hyori couldn't help but cry with her, feeling a bit heartbroken.
Among their children, she was the only one who had caused Mother and Father so much worry.
Seeing this touching scene, Li Shenxing took out his phone and secretly took a photo.
Although her second sister was also crying, she consoled, "Mom, this is a good thing, don't cry, or the new son-in-law will laugh at you."
"I'm not crying, I'm just happy." After her daughter said this, although she was a bit embarrassed, she stubbornly refused to admit it.
"Clap!" Mother-in-law suddenly clapped her hands and said, "Right, right, Second Daughter, quickly call your Father and tell him to come back soon."
"Mom, Father will come back on his own, no need to call him," her second sister said indifferently.
"You lazy girl, you won't even do a little thing. I'll do it myself." Mother-in-law, unhappy, patted her second daughter's bottom and walked into the bedroom.
Her second sister hummed a few times and went to the bathroom to wash her face.
"How come you're crying, are you having second thoughts?" Li Shenxing hugged Hyori and teased her.
"Stop it, don't tease me." Hyori buried her face in his chest and said in a muffled voice, "I just feel a bit heartbroken, always causing Mom and Father to worry."
"Good girl, don't cry, I'm here now." Li Shenxing patted her back to comfort her.
"It's okay, I'll wash my face and be fine."
Seeing Hyori's mood improve, Li Shenxing went into the kitchen.
Every time he came over, Li Shenxing liked to cook a few dishes for everyone to try, because everyone loved his cooking.
Taking out pork, fresh shrimp, and other ingredients from the fridge, he planned to make pork and shrimp meatball soup, boiled pork slices, stir-fried pork with black bean sprouts, and steamed egg with clams.
Hyori volunteered to make the stir-fried luffa she had just learned, and her second sister made a cold dish and spicy stir-fried squid.
Six dishes and one soup, just right for everyone, with plenty of food, plus some Korean side dishes, it was enough for everyone to eat.
During dinner, Father-in-law, in high spirits, drank a few more cups and kept patting Li Shenxing's shoulder, saying, "Take care of Hyori from now on," "Take good care of her," "Live a good life together."
Li Shenxing nodded seriously in agreement.
Mother-in-law also drank two cups happily, smiling as she watched Father-in-law nagging at Li Shenxing.
After returning home at night, the two of them washed up and lay in bed together, chatting about the past, until they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Saturday, November 3rd, Sunny
Today was the day he had agreed to teach Jineun cooking at the café, so Li Shenxing didn't write scripts at home. After finishing his morning chores, he went straight to the café.
It was still early, not yet lunchtime, and the agreed time was 11:30 AM, so Li Shenxing sat in the backyard playing with the cats.
Around 11:30, Miyoung came to the backyard to call him, saying that a woman named Ra Jineun was looking for him.
Following Miyoung to the front, "Sister Jineun, you're here." Li Shenxing sat opposite Ra Jineun.
"Shenxing, it's been a long time. I'll be troubling you from now on," Ra Jineun said softly.
"Sister Jineun, please sit down. Don't worry, I'll bring you some coffee."
"Okay, thank you, Shenxing."
A moment later, Li Shenxing brought a tray with coffee, some sweets, a pen, and a notebook.
"Sister Jineun, let's eat and chat. I need to understand what kind of dishes and flavors you like, so I can plan the dishes to teach you."
"Okay." Ra Jineun thought even more highly of the brother that Yoo Jae-suk had mentioned.
"Let me start with Brother Yoo's tastes. He likes fragrant, fried, and grilled foods. He can't handle too much spiciness, especially likes noodle dishes, is a bit picky, and doesn't like healthy ingredients. Overall, he's not too difficult, with tastes similar to a child. How about you, Sister Jineun? What kind of dishes do you like?"
