This time, Qin Chuan still had to go through a lot of trouble to save Zhang Rong. After the rescue, Qin Chuan was drenched in sweat and sat down on the nearby bed.
Chen Hongping quickly handed Qin Chuan a pack of tissues: "Doctor Qin, wipe your sweat."
"Thank you." Qin Chuan took one tissue from the pack and wiped the sweat off his face. He used several tissues, and each one was soaked through with sweat.
"Doctor, how is my mother?" Ji Xia rushed in.
"Still okay. She has been saved, but she hasn't woken up yet. Don't worry. However, it's best not to mention any matters in front of the patient. Her body is still very weak. It was just starting to improve, but now it's back to where it was." Chen Hongping said.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's my fault. I'm such an unfilial daughter." Ji Xia sobbed.
"Ah. Your mother, although she hasn't woken up yet, is still aware of the outside world. Your current state is not good for her recovery. You need to stay calm. Do you have any other relatives at home?" Qin Chuan asked.
"How is my mother's condition?" Ji Xia thought Zhang Rong was about to pass away and needed her family to prepare for the aftermath. She couldn't help but burst into tears.
"I told you to hold it together. In your current state, how can you take care of your mother? I meant that you should have your relatives come to take care of your mother. Your current state is not good for her recovery." Qin Chuan said.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Ji Xia quickly wiped away her tears.
"Apologizing to me won't help. The key is that your mother's condition is not good. In your current state, you can't take good care of her. Do you understand? I mean, can someone from your family come to take care of your mother?" Qin Chuan said.
"I don't have any other relatives. My father passed away a long time ago. The relatives we have don't come around much because of our poor living conditions." Ji Xia said.
"Regardless, you are your mother's last support now. You need to be strong. Do you understand? If you continue like this, we won't be able to save your mother." Qin Chuan said.
"I understand. I will be strong." Ji Xia said.
"Ah, sorry, what's your name?" Qin Chuan wanted to greet Chen Hongping but realized he didn't know her name.
"My name is Chen Hongping." Chen Hongping smiled slightly.
"Nurse Chen, things are almost done here. I need to get back to the emergency room. If a patient comes and no one is there to take care of them, it will be a big problem." Qin Chuan said.
"Alright, thank you, Doctor Qin. I don't know what's wrong with Doctor Zhao. He's been eating for so long and hasn't come back yet." Chen Hongping complained.
"I've been sneezing all the way. It turns out someone was talking badly about me behind my back." Zhao Hang walked in, laughing.
"Doctor Zhao, you still have the nerve to laugh. We almost had an incident just now. Bed 12 had a cardiac arrest. If Doctor Qin hadn't acted quickly, there would have been a problem." Chen Hongping said.
"Doctor Qin, thank you so much." Zhao Hang hurriedly thanked Qin Chuan, "Bed 12? That's strange. I checked on Bed 12 before I went to eat, and everything was normal."
"Patients can change at any time. You took too long to eat." Chen Hongping said.
"Doctor Qin, thank you, thank you. I'll treat you to a meal when I have the chance." Zhao Hang thanked Qin Chuan again. If it weren't for Qin Chuan, he would have been in trouble. If a patient had an issue and no on-duty doctor was found, Zhao Hang would be held responsible. Fortunately, Qin Chuan arrived in time and performed the rescue. Otherwise, if someone had died, the family would have caused a commotion, and Zhao Hang, as the primary responsible person, would have faced serious consequences.
"It's nothing, nothing. I'm on duty too, so I need to go." Qin Chuan hurriedly left, not wanting any issues to arise in the emergency room due to his absence. The emergency room had many more critical patients than the respiratory department, and new patients could be admitted at any time.
When Qin Chuan returned to the emergency room, he asked the on-duty nurse Fang Ping, "Fang Beauty, is everything okay?"
"Everything's fine. With this rainy weather, there aren't many patients. Once the weather improves, patients will come in batches." Fang Ping said.
"Really? Our hospital has peak and off-peak seasons?" Qin Chuan asked.
"Of course. Now, with the rainy weather, some people with minor illnesses either stay home or go to nearby clinics. Once the weather improves, they all come to our hospital. Our city has only two top-tier hospitals, and our Central Hospital is the best. Regardless of the urgency or severity of their condition, patients all come here. Our hospital is more standardized. Although some fees are higher, at least there's no overcharging. Some small hospitals, which seem cheaper, often have unscrupulous doctors who act irresponsibly. Over time, no one dares to go to those small hospitals." Fang Ping said.
Qin Chuan nodded, "That's true."
"Doctor Qin, you've won the heart of our hospital's most beautiful flower. When are you going to treat us? We are Lingling's good friends. If you want to pursue Lingling, you have to pass our test." Fang Ping said.
Qin Chuan chuckled and changed the subject, "I'll go check on the patients."
When Qin Chuan walked into the rescue hall, he heard a cough from the corner. He looked up and saw that it was Yao Sihai, a long-term patient in the emergency department, coughing. Yao Sihai's bed had not been changed for years and was black and dirty, making it hard to see the original color of the fabric. From a distance, a strong, unpleasant smell could be detected.
However, from Yao Sihai's cough, Qin Chuan could tell that he was sick: he had a respiratory infection, possibly due to a cold or another illness. Although Yao Sihai was a long-term patient in the emergency department, he was indeed a patient with multiple illnesses.
Qin Chuan hesitated for a moment before walking over.
"Uncle, are you feeling unwell? I can check on you." Qin Chuan said.
"No need. Don't think I don't know what you're up to. I tell you, I have no family. They're all dead! Don't pretend to pity me. If you want to kick me out, forget it. I'll die in your hospital if I have to." Yao Sihai was ungrateful and spoke harshly to Qin Chuan.
The surrounding patients and their families glanced over but didn't say anything. They didn't want to get involved. They just wanted to get treated and leave. Yao Sihai occupied this remote corner, and due to the strong smell, no one wanted to be near him, wasting two more beds.
Qin Chuan frowned and turned to leave.
