"What's wrong? I just published a paper, why are you all like this? Why are you all giving me cold words? Did I offend you or provoke you? I told you, I will eventually leave the emergency department. I just want to live in peace here. We don't need to interfere with each other. I can't stay in the emergency department like you all forever." Wu Xiaoming said proudly.

"Someone like you, it's best if you don't stay in the emergency department. If you ever kill a patient, you'll drag all of us in the emergency department down with you." Gao Zhanting said.

"I can't win against you, I won't argue with you anymore. I need to revise my paper. Can you all not disturb me?" Wu Xiaoming had a look that begged for a beating.

Gao Zhanting was about to say more, but Wu Xiaoming didn't give her the chance, and walked out the door with his things: "I'm afraid of you all, I'll find a quiet place."

"This guy, really." Gao Zhanting was still fuming. She turned around and saw Qin Chuan still lying there quietly, and smiled, "What's up with Qin Chuan today? Such a big commotion in the department, and he can't even be woken up."

He Xiaokang said, "Just let him rest. Fortunately, we have someone like Qin Chuan in our department who works tirelessly. He does more work than several people combined. He never complains about being tired. Every time he sits down, he falls asleep immediately."

"Yes. As his adoptive sister, I don't know whether I should criticize him or praise him. Later, don't wake him up. Let him rest well." Gao Zhanting said.

He Xiaokang agreed, "Alright. Let's do that. Otherwise, if we keep pushing him, he'll eventually collapse."

After entering the space today, Qin Chuan made a new discovery. When he entered the system, there was a pleasant "ding" sound. Qin Chuan had heard it twice before and had been looking forward to it. He thought it wouldn't happen again for a while, but it unexpectedly appeared today. This "ding" sound naturally indicated a new task.

**Task**: Publish a technical paper with an influence exceeding one thousand (i.e., gain the recognition of over a thousand peers).

This task left Qin Chuan a bit confused. He didn't understand what counted as recognition—whether it was citations of his paper or the support and acknowledgment of his views by peers. However, since there was a new task, it was a good thing. He had been planning to publish a paper recently anyway. Qin Chuan also noticed that the task mentioned publishing a technical paper, with no limit on the number of papers. Perhaps the peer recognition referred to cumulative numbers. If he published several papers, this task shouldn't be too difficult. Of course, the hard part was publishing the papers. If it was a regular journal, gaining peer recognition might be challenging. But publishing in authoritative journals was not easy either.

"There's no point in worrying. Getting a new task is always a good thing." Qin Chuan shook off his concerns and immersed himself back into the simulation classroom to continue learning medical English. There was a significant difference between professional English and everyday English. The specialized vocabulary was particularly extensive, especially the names of diseases and medications, which were very complex. Additionally, the grammatical structure of professional papers differed greatly from general English.

In the simulation classroom, Qin Chuan had already started trying to write technical papers in English. The simulation classroom would score his English and provide a model for comparison. This way, Qin Chuan's progress was very rapid. He wasn't without the idea of writing his paper directly in the simulation classroom. However, he felt that while this method was a shortcut, it wasn't the best approach. It would only help him reach his goal quickly without truly improving his skills. The new task he had just received might not be completed with just one paper. He couldn't always rely on this method whenever he needed to write a paper. Moreover, once a technical paper was published, there might be opportunities for international exchanges. Currently, medical technology and equipment in Europe and America were comprehensively advanced. Although Qin Chuan had a future system, he couldn't single-handedly achieve the leap of the entire medical system. Without a solid foundation, he couldn't implement the advanced medical techniques in the system.

Therefore, Qin Chuan decided to learn step by step and truly master a language. His progress was very fast. The paper he tried to write today had already reached a passing level. At this rate, it wouldn't take many more days for his English to meet the requirements.

Qin Chuan was so engrossed that he spent almost ten hours in the simulation classroom. In reality, it was only an hour, and he hadn't moved at all. Fortunately, it wasn't particularly busy in the afternoon, and just before the end of the shift, Gao Zhanting tapped Qin Chuan on the shoulder.

Qin Chuan opened his eyes and looked blankly at Gao Zhanting, who was leaning over him.

Gao Zhanting smiled, "You guy, you haven't moved for over an hour. Don't overwork yourself. The hospital is the hospital, but your body is your own. No matter how much you work, the hospital won't give you a raise."

"I know, Sister Zhanting." Qin Chuan said.

"Go home quickly. Lingling must be waiting for you outside." Gao Zhanting said.

As Qin Chuan was clearing his things and heading out, a group of people entered the emergency hall, the Zhang family. Zhang Guiping had finally told Hu Yemei about his brother's injury after several days.

"You say, such a big matter, you kept it from me alone. If your wife hadn't let it slip, how long would you have kept it from me?" Hu Yemei was very angry and ignored Zhang Guiping's pleas for mercy.

"Mom, I was just worried you would be shocked. Guishan's injuries are recovering well. He will be able to walk without any problems. I've already communicated with the power bureau, and he won't be doing field work anymore. This time, he was injured on duty. The unit will definitely take good care of him. And with me watching over, Guishan won't be at a disadvantage." Zhang Guiping said.

"You only care about these things. No matter how much money you have, can it be more important than health? I would rather not have those things; I just want a healthy Guishan." Hu Yemei was very unhappy with Zhang Guiping's focus on benefits.

Coincidentally, as the Zhang family walked in, Yao Hong also came to deliver food to Yao Sihai. Seeing Hu Yemei from a distance, she recognized her and quickly caught up.

"Hu Yemei! Hu Yemei! I finally found you, you ungrateful woman! You are so cruel! My brother worked like a slave for you! He helped raise your children and supported them through school. Now you turn your back on him. My brother almost starved to death in the hospital, do you know that?" Yao Hong rushed forward to hit Hu Yemei but was pushed away by Zhang Guiping and fell to the ground. The food she brought for Yao Sihai was scattered on the floor.

Yao Hong wailed and cursed, "You cruel woman! Even a scorpion is not as venomous as you! When you needed my brother, you made him work tirelessly for your family. My brother picked trash in Tan Shan City to earn money to support your two children through school. In the end, you kicked him out! My brother has been in the hospital for five years! You didn't even visit him once!"

"You bitch, we don't know you! Don't cause a scene here! Or I'll beat you!" Zhang Guiping threatened.

Yao Hong was beyond caring. Her only brother had suffered so much because of this family. She shouted hysterically, "Hit me! Hit me! Is there any justice in the world? My brother worked like a slave for you for so many years. Now that your family is prosperous, you kicked him out! Come on, hit me if you dare!"

Hu Yemei was stunned. She had thought she would never have any interaction with Yao Sihai again. She felt guilty and often cried in the dead of night, apologizing to Yao Sihai in her dreams. But she couldn't go against her children. Liu Guiping wouldn't acknowledge a stepfather who picked trash. For Zhang Guiping, it was a shameful thing he couldn't face. However, Hu Yemei never imagined that Yao Sihai was still in the central hospital. Zhang Guiping had told her that Yao Sihai had been discharged and properly settled. For her children's future, Hu Yemei had gritted her teeth and forgotten her gratitude.

"Guiping! What's going on? You told me that Uncle Yao had already been discharged and settled. What's this all about?" Hu Yemei stared at Zhang Guiping.

"Mom, Yao Sihai is not a relative of ours. He helped us out of his own will; we didn't force him. And there is no legal relationship between us." Zhang Guiping's eyes avoided hers.

Hu Yemei was not a foolish woman. Zhang Guiping's expression made everything clear to her.

"Yao Hong, where is your brother now?" Hu Yemei walked over, trying to help Yao Hong up.

Yao Hong was very agitated and pushed Hu Yemei's hand away, "No need! Our family may be poor, but we don't need your pity. My brother doesn't need the pity of a woman like you! Don't pretend to be kind! After so many years, your conscience has finally awakened? No need! Hu Yemei, I tell you, what you do, heaven sees! Your family will have retribution for what you've done!"

Hu Yemei knelt on the ground, "Yao Hong, I was wrong all these years. It's too late for me to say anything, but please tell me where your brother is. I must see him. I need to apologize to him in person!"

Hu Yemei held her face and wept bitterly.

Seeing the crowd gathering and some people even taking out their phones to record, Zhang Guishan became anxious and hurried over to help Hu Yemei up.

"Mom, get up quickly. It's not good for so many people to see this," Zhang Guishan said.
