Anime Celebration ASMR 1: Sudden Downpour With My Step-brother (Yuuta)

Huff, huff.

Phew… Wait, Ayase-san?!

You didn’t bring an umbrella either?

Well, that makes sense.

The weather forecast this morning said it’d be sunny all day.

But we sure ran outta luck, considering it started raining the second we were on our way home.

Can I sit next to you?

Thanks.

Now then, gotta check the damage.

Yikes, I was really running but my shirt and blazer are drenched.

My bag’s safe because I did my best to protect it, and since it just started, my shoes survived most of the rain, too.

Just gotta dry my hair with a handkerchief…

Good, it seems like this won’t give me a headache tomorrow, at least.

How about you, Ayase-san? …Dang, you’re perfectly dry.

Oh, yeah. You’d be a bit worried when the previously clear sky suddenly ended up covered by clouds.

Either you’re going to keep going and pray that you get home dry, or you immediately seek shelter. I guess this is where you and I are different.

I mean, I didn’t have a reason that forced me to rush home or anything like that.

I just wanted to listen to the rain from home.

Don’t you think that rain sounds help a lot when you let them play in the background?

When I’m studying or reading, it makes me feel like my focus is increasing.

Lofi hip-hop’s great, too, but natural rain sounds aren’t something I can just listen to every day.

It’s like discovering a secret floor of a dungeon and getting all sorts of items… Ah, sorry, that’s an example I’d use with Maru.

Anyway, it’s stuff you wouldn’t normally be able to listen to, which makes it so great.

If not for this situation, of course.

If possible, I would have preferred to enjoy it with a good book and some coffee.

Then again, having you next to me while I get to listen to the rain isn’t so bad either.

A-Ah, I didn’t mean that in a weird way, I was just saying that this is a blessing in disguise.

Anyway, how’s the rain looking?

I think it’s gonna stop soon.

The clouds are slowly passing by, and I can see clear sky off in the distance.

I guess this wonderful rain ASMR is gonna be over by the time I get home, even if I rush back now…

Hup, here we go.

I’m just glad I don’t have a shift today.

We have to take out vinyl covers for the umbrellas, and move the displays near the entrance. I don’t particularly mind anti-rain measures at a bookstore…

But seeing customers trying to be very careful to not bump into books makes me feel bad for them.

In that sense, we’re a pretty lucky bookstore. A lot of the customers try to be careful of the books we sell, after all.

Humidity is the mortal enemy of all books, too… Yeah, I probably wouldn’t have been uneasy all the time at work.

Even if we get fewer customers coming in because of the rain, our work itself doesn’t become much easier, either.

If anything, it’d probably be a lot more stressful.

Now that I think about it, most situations are probably worse when there’s rain…

Look at us, we can’t go home because of it. Then again, I don’t feel particularly stressed, either… I wonder why.

Ah, I see.

When there’s somebody in the same predicament as you, it makes you feel a lot more relaxed. Maybe?

Being in trouble, forced through something you hate, or even having something you worry about…

It all feels less heavy when you can share it with someone.

I’m glad you’re here with me, Ayase-san.

And not just when it’s raining, I mean on a daily basis.

Ah, the rain let up.

Gotta get out of here before the bus comes.

Up we go.

Oh, a rainbow.

That’s more likely after a calm rain, isn’t it?

Enjoying the sight of a rainbow while walking home… This isn’t so bad once in a whi—

Ah, a water puddle!

Dangit… I was so distracted by the rainbow that I didn’t look ahead of me…

Maaan, and my shoes were safe before. Now I gotta dry them once I get home.

Be careful of water puddles, okay Ayase-san?

Anyway, should we head home?

Anime Celebration ASMR 2: Taking A Walk During Dusk (Saki x Shiori)

Sorry about this~

We made you tag along for a walk right after work. (Shiori)

It’s okay.

Neither Asamura-kun nor I both had any plans. (Saki)

Oho, oho?

Does this mean you’ve got a good eye on all plans that dear Junior-kun has, Saki-chan?

If we have any important plans, we usually tell each other.

Hee, hee. That’s also true.

Thanks for tagging along, both of you.

No problem.

And this sort of stuff doesn’t hurt once in a while.

How far are we walking, anyway?

Do you dislike walks without a clear destination, by any chance?

Not particularly…

Let’s just walk until we get hungry.

I ate lunch late, so I’m still feeling pretty stuffed.

Do you have any plans for dinner, by any chance?

I wish I did.

I haven’t decided on anything, so I’m open to any suggestions~

Suggestions…

It’s hard to think about what to eat when you’re not even hungry.

Isn’t that right?

I wonder if there’s a delicious-looking restaurant around here?

I’d love to gather some references.

We’ve come pretty far from the entertainment district, after all…

If you keep going this way, you’ll end up in the residential district.

Sometimes you run into izakaya bars or the like, though.

Oh, there’s a ramen store.

Too heavy on my stomach!

But maybe you’d like a bite, Junior-kun?

The one who had his last break was Asamura-kun, you know?

Oh, right.

The only thing else here is a convenience store…

Oh, I spotted a park!

There are some children playing catch. Should we join them?

Go ahead. Asamura-kun and I will watch you.

Aww, you’re no fun, Saki-chan.

I’m sure Junior-kun wants to join them, no?

…Geez, I was just joking.

It’s hard to imagine you playing catch, Yomiuri-san.

Really?

I feel like you’d rather sit on a bench in the shadows and read a book.

Oh, is that supposed to be praise for me?

Just as an example. You do seem like a literary girl, after all.

I see, I see. You’re not entirely wrong.

—Hey, you kids! The sun is gonna set soon!

And she clearly wasn’t listening, hee, hee.

Oh well. You can only be without a care in the world like that when you’re still a child. I’m sure that’ll be a good memory for them.

Do you have any memories like that, Yomiuri-san?

Well, who knows?

The crows are calling out a lot now, huh?

It really makes it feel like dusk.

Hey, Junior-kun… Are you tired?

It seems like he can still keep going.

High school students sure are tough! Didn’t you just go through an entire shift at work?

And you’re still only a university student. You’re not much older, Yomiuri-san.

You’ll understand it soon enough, Saki-chan.

There’s a bottomless pit deeper than the ocean looming between a high school and a university girl…

I can’t wait.

Aww, a high school girl is showing off her youth to meee~!

That’s not the case, at all. And why don’t you show off an adult’s cool, instead?

If you push me that much, then I can’t back down like this. Let’s walk a bit more.

—Okaaay, the train is coming!

Aren’t you brimming with energy, Yomiuri-san?

Since there are children playing around, I thought I should give a little warning.

Plus, it wouldn’t surprise me if the parents of these children were on that train. It’s already time for all the salary men to come home from work, after all.

That kid was waving at us through the window, huh?

Yep, and I waved back at them, too.

Did you find any salary men walking around?

Not too many, at least.

—We’ve walked pretty far, haven’t we?

Ah, hey… doesn’t this smell pretty good?

This is… curry?

Mhm, this smells great!

Maybe a family living here is making it for dinner.

Oh, Junior-kun! Someone’s hungry, ey?

Yomiuri-san, it’s not nice to force your stomach’s desires onto someone else.

Hee, hee. You figured me out.

Anyway, tonight’s dinner shall be curry!

My stomach asks for it.

That sounds nice. Maybe we should also go for curry tonight?

Then you should hurry home.

Saki-chan, Junior-kun, thanks for tagging along today.

Likewise, thank you for inviting us.

It was fun.

That’s a relief.

Anyway, time to head home before it gets dark.
