Although it's still a bit short of 5 votes to reach 100, it's a holiday, so let's celebrate with a good omen and bring you the second update! Wishing everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Also! Thank you to 'Dancing with Maple Leaves' for the generous tip again! What a nice Mid-Autumn gift~~~

"Kazuki, Hime, you two take care of the dogs first. I'll deal with the group of soldiers, and then I'll handle the big one!" Mugen whispered to Kazuki and Hime, slowly drawing out Zedenshena.

"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on Hime!" Seeing Mugen's gaze on her, Kazuki nodded in understanding.

"What do you mean..." Hearing Kazuki's words, Hime puffed up a bit, straightening her back. "I'm not a kid, do I need to be watched so closely?"

Mugen said helplessly, "President, this is for your own good. After all, your level is still relatively low. Once your level goes up a bit, you can do whatever you want. For now, just listen and cooperate with Kazuki."

"I understand, I'm not that clueless," Hime walked over to Kazuki and said resentfully, "At least leave one for me, I want to help too!"

Mugen and Kazuki exchanged a glance and then nodded.

"Alright, Hime, you can handle one. It'll be good for your practical experience!" Dealing with one should be manageable for Hime. Although it's a level-up battle, the gap between level 2 and level 3 isn't that big, and the dogs aren't as cunning as humans, making the fight much easier.

Mugen casually exchanged 100,000 item points for a bottle of 'Radiant Breath' and handed it to Hime, saying solemnly, "If you're in danger, drink it. Don't take unnecessary risks!"

"I don't need it, I—"

"Listen!" Mugen forcefully pushed it into Hime's hand, looking directly into her yellow-green eyes, "To me, you are far more precious than any potion. It's not just 100,000 item points; even if it were 100 times or 1,000 times more, it wouldn't be worth a drop of your blood!"

Hime, taken aback by Mugen's serious expression, blushed and took the potion bottle, clutching it tightly in her hand.

Kazuki, standing nearby, was also startled by Mugen's somewhat passionate words. At 14, she had never heard such mushy talk before. She felt a bit shy and a bit envious, and there was a hint of warmth and dissatisfaction in her eyes as she looked at Mugen.

"Woof! Woof!" Suddenly, a sharp bark rang out, startling Mugen and the others who were hiding in the shadows. Following the bark, a series of barks echoed.

At that moment, a group of fanged dogs were barking and running towards Mugen and the others, drooling all over the place.

"Who's there!" Seeing their dogs barking, the mercenaries raised their weapons and aimed them at Mugen and the others.

Terry was also startled. After regaining his composure, he smashed the wine bottle on the ground, ran to Lirin's side, and, ignoring her struggles, clamped her under his arm, vigilantly watching the tree where Mugen and the others were hiding.

Faced with the approaching, slobbering dogs, Mugen was about to curse, but before he could act, Kazuki, standing beside him, joyfully released an electric net, enveloping all the fanged dogs and pulling them to the side.

Could she not be happy? The three of them had already divided their tasks: Mugen would handle the humans, while Kazuki and Hime would deal with the dogs. However, the dogs had been with the mercenaries, and Kazuki was still trying to figure out how to lure them out.

Now, the dogs had come to them on their own, and Kazuki naturally used her electric net to capture them all, pulling them to the side to deal with them one by one.

Hime drew her crystal sword and ran to the side, picking one of the dogs and starting the battle.

"Who are you!" The mercenaries, while shouting, began charging towards Kazuki and Hime, clearly not intending to ask but to kill.

Terry, seeing Kazuki and Hime fighting the dogs, was momentarily stunned by their appearance, then his eyes turned lecherous, and he began to scheme, apparently planning to capture them alive.

Seeing Terry's gaze roving over Kazuki and Hime, Mugen, familiar with various cliché plots, knew exactly what he was thinking. With a cold laugh, Mugen took a step from behind the tree and shot towards the mercenaries charging at Kazuki and Hime.

In Mugen's mind, these people were already dead!

The mercenaries, running with enthusiasm, didn't even get close to Kazuki and Hime before a silver light flashed among them, like a dancing firefly. Unfortunately, it wasn't a firefly but a cold, sharp blade.

"Ugh..." A mercenary suddenly stopped, drawing puzzled looks from the others. Before they could ask, the mercenary groaned, his weapon clattering to the ground.

Clutching his neck, he stared in terror as blood gushed out, staining his hands. He looked at his companions, opened his mouth to speak, but no sound came out. Then, he slowly collapsed, lifeless.

He was the mercenary who had just spoken to Terry!

"Ah!" Before the other mercenaries could scream, another cry of pain rang out. A mercenary, disbelieving, looked at the blade that had pierced his chest, leaving no trace of blood, before closing his eyes.

Mugen pulled out Zedenshena and stepped back to avoid the gushing blood, then accelerated towards another mercenary, slicing again in his desperate eyes.

The blade of death began to dance, and in an instant, three level 3 mercenaries, who hadn't even seen the face of their killer, saw only the silver blade, the last thing they would ever see, before reporting to the maiden with the scythe at the Sanzu River.

When the three companions, who had been together for so long, lay on the ground, and Mugen's figure appeared before them, the mercenaries finally understood what had happened.

Mugen took a light step, causing the mercenaries to step back in fear. They raised their weapons at him but dared not charge.

Terry, who had been leering at Kazuki and Hime, now turned his gaze to Mugen and the mercenaries, glancing at the three fallen mercenaries. Instead of sorrow or anger, he immediately shouted at the other mercenaries, "What are you doing! Get him! Kill him!"

The mercenaries looked at each other, swallowed, and, under the threat of their vice-leader, gritted their teeth and charged at Mugen, brandishing their weapons.

Mugen, seeing that Terry didn't intend to use Lirin as a hostage, breathed a sigh of relief. If Terry had used Lirin as a hostage, he would have been in a bind. The only option would have been for Kazuki to use her level advantage to rescue Lirin, but that would have been too risky. It was best to avoid it if possible!

The mercenaries' weapons were about to reach Mugen, but he smiled and swung Zedenshena. With a few crisp sounds, their weapons were cut in half and fell to the ground, becoming scrap metal.

"Common equipment!" Terry exclaimed, his eyes filled with greed as he looked at Zedenshena in Mugen's hand.

Only legendary equipment could so easily cut through the weapons of the mercenaries, which were considered high-quality among warriors!

Although Terry was already level 5, he didn't have any common equipment and had been saving up to buy one. Now, he didn't need to plan; someone had brought the equipment to him.

In Terry's eyes, this equipment was already his. In a little while, it would be his!

"Get him!" Terry shouted at the mercenaries surrounding Mugen, continuing to look at Zedenshena with a greedy gaze.

Beautiful women were plentiful; as long as he had the power, he wouldn't lack for them. Equipment was what increased his power!

Moreover, now he had both the equipment and the women. Terry felt today was his lucky day. Once he dealt with the man, everything would be his!

With his level 5 power, how could these young, seemingly underage kids be a match for him? Terry was full of confidence, almost writing 'I want' on his face.

Terry's greed had clouded his judgment. He didn't consider that someone who could wield common equipment wouldn't be ordinary.

Indeed, Mugen, Kazuki, and Hime looked very young. Although Mugen was already 20, his playful demeanor made him seem like a young boy. Moreover, in Terry's eyes, 20 was still a young age, and at that age, who could have any real power except for geniuses from powerful families?

As for Kazuki and Hime, their small bodies and immature faces made them seem like children.

But Terry had miscalculated. Age was no barrier, and height was no issue. The young man and two girls in front of him, except for Hime, were beyond his reach. If Hime took the 'Radiant Breath' in her arms, he wouldn't stand a chance for three hours.

Terry's lustful exclamation of 'common equipment' didn't escape Mugen's ears, and he couldn't help but sneer.

Common equipment? That level of equipment has been phased out by me. Zedenshena is rare equipment!

I have common equipment in my spatial ring, but no one wants to use it.

Mugen didn't waste words, his body darting towards the mercenaries. Zedenshena sliced through the air, each slice accompanied by a splash of blood, and each time, a mercenary fell.

Mugen moved among the mercenaries with incredible speed. They only saw a blur before they saw their own blood, falling to the ground in hatred.

The sound of the mercenaries falling and Zedenshena piercing flesh formed a rhythm, like a heavy and light beat. A heavy beat followed each light beat. In just over thirty seconds, all the mercenaries lay on the ground, unable to rise.

"Ding! Task 2 completed! Gained 7,000 points each in equipment, items, abilities, and summons!"

Twenty level 3 mercenaries, all dead, completed Mugen's Task 2. Their deaths brought him income, a bitter irony.

Mugen glanced at the fallen mercenaries, then at Terry, whose face was stiff, and shook Zedenshena, the blood flying off the blade, which returned to its bright state.

Mugen, holding Zedenshena, walked to Terry, who was frowning and holding the struggling Lirin, and pointed Zedenshena at Terry, shouting:

"Hey! Let go of that girl!"
