Chapter 16

"You think I was scared into this?"

The long-haired youth sneered.

The other students also began to jeer and curse. With Chu Yuntao backing them up, what was there to fear if the sky fell?

They had injured people before, but after being taken to the police station, they would be out in at most two days, thanks to Chu Yuntao's connections.

Wang Xu didn't move, but Zhuo Wen stood beside Sun Yuan.

"Buzz, this has nothing to do with you, get out of here!"

Sun Yuan urged.

"Attack!"

The long-haired youth shouted, suddenly lunging at Sun Yuan. The chain in his hand whistled through the air, aiming for Sun Yuan's head.

"Watch out!"

Zhen Yu shouted.

This guy was ruthless; if Sun Yuan were hit by the chain, he would be severely injured, losing half his life.

Sun Yuan quickly grabbed the back of Zhuo Wen's collar, pulled his friend out of the fight, and dodged to the left. He then planted his foot on the ground and pushed off with great force.

Swish!

Sun Yuan darted forward, his left hand clenched into a fist, hammering viciously at the long-haired youth's face.

"So fast!"

The long-haired youth's mind flashed with this thought, but before he could react to block, he was hit on the nose.

Bang!

The long-haired youth was sent flying, and before he hit the ground, Sun Yuan kicked him in the stomach.

Bang!

The long-haired youth fell like a roadblock, blocking the path of several others, preventing them from surrounding Sun Yuan.

Sun Yuan thought this would make them realize his strength and stop attacking, but he underestimated their temper.

They were aggressive and wouldn't be scared off by just one punch.

Moreover, before they came, Chu Yuntao had said that whoever took down Sun Yuan first would have the right to take his equipment.

Chu Yuntao's波动枪 (fluctuation spear) was so powerful that everyone was envious and wanted to get a weapon as soon as possible.

Killing spore people was too dangerous, but beating people up was something they were good at.

"Great Sage!"

Seeing Sun Yuan still thinking of his friend and throwing him out of the fight, Zhuo Wen's eyes turned red, and he rushed forward, gritting his teeth.

Seeing that they weren't stopping, Sun Yuan hesitated for a moment but still swung the bat.

Since they attacked first, he didn't need to be merciful.

A boy with a buzz cut moved quickly, swinging a U-lock at Sun Yuan's head. But in a flash, Sun Yuan's bat struck the lock first.

Bang!

A powerful force immediately hit the U-lock, sending it flying. The buzz cut boy's wrist was painfully jolted. He tried to retreat but was too slow.

The red and gold bat struck his arm.

Crack!

The buzz cut boy's forearm was broken, twisted irregularly, and then the impact and burning effect from the bat shattered the flesh, causing the arm to completely break off.

The long-haired youth, despite the pain, pushed himself up with his hands and rushed at Sun Yuan again, pulling out a folding knife and aiming for his abdomen.

Sun Yuan's agility was maxed out and tripled by the Street Fighter glove, so he easily dodged with a side step and then swung the bat, striking the youth.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Each hit was accompanied by an explosion, with sparks and flesh flying.

Swish!

This bloody and brutal scene stunned the others, making them freeze in place, too afraid to move.

They had beaten people to the point of blood and even stabbed people into the hospital, but seeing one of their own take such a severe beating was a first.

"Top-tier weapon!"

Everyone looked at Sun Yuan's bat, amazed by its destructive power, both envious and wary.

"Great stuff!"

A greedy look flashed in Chu Yuntao's eyes. He dashed forward, his long spear aimed at Sun Yuan's chest, shouting, "Xiao Leizi!"

A short boy in the back quickly pulled out a boomerang and threw it at Sun Yuan.

Whoosh!

The boomerang moved so fast that it was almost in front of Sun Yuan in the blink of an eye.

Sun Yuan turned his head, and the boomerang grazed his neck. If he had been a bit slower, his neck would have been cut open.

"Senior!"

Zhen Yu screamed.

Smack!

Not only did Sun Yuan dodge the boomerang, but he also used the bat to deflect the spear aimed at his chest.

"This guy's reaction is so fast, he must have enhanced his body."

Chu Yuntao thought to himself.

He stared at Sun Yuan, feeling regret. It would have been great if he could have become his subordinate, but it was a pity.

Since you're so ungrateful, you're going to die!

"Senior, be careful, the boomerang is coming back!"

Zhen Yu shouted a warning.

"Quick, dodge!"

Zhuo Wen was anxious.

Chu Yuntao had a smug smile, thinking that if Sun Yuan dodged, he was dead.

The boomerang was a rare mid-range weapon with a "must-hit" effect, meaning it would hit no matter where the target went.

The only way to defend against it was to take the hit.

However, Chu Yuntao, being cautious, still thrust his spear at Sun Yuan's chest a second time.

Sun Yuan didn't dodge or turn around. Instead, he swung the bat backward, fast and accurately, striking the boomerang flying behind him.

Smack!

The boomerang was deflected and flew into the bushes twenty meters away.

"Damn!"

Chu Yuntao was stunned. Was he using sound to locate it?

Is he that strong?

"What?"

Li Lei was taken aback.

In a situation of being attacked from both sides, wouldn't a normal person choose to dodge? Why would he do such a high-difficulty defensive move?

That's too reckless!

But it didn't matter, as Chu Yuntao had already followed up with a second attack.

Just as the silver spear was about to hit Sun Yuan, the bat struck it first, deflecting it.

Clang!

The block was successful.

Sun Yuan's current burst of power allowed him to perform such complex and intricate actions in a short time.

"..."

The onlookers were stunned.

How could he defend against that?

Are you even human?

Seeing Sun Yuan was unharmed, Zhen Yu immediately rushed toward the bushes to grab the boomerang, preventing them from attacking again.

"Damn!"

Li Lei also moved, sprinting as fast as he could.

Chu Yuntao gritted his teeth and activated the spear's additional skill.

Fluctuation Thrust!

Swish!

The silver spear was deflected by Sun Yuan, but another one suddenly materialized in front of him, aiming for his eye socket.

This was the most terrifying aspect of the weapon.

It could perform a two-hit combo, and because of the close distance, it was hard to defend against.

"Still not dead?"

Chu Yuntao smiled smugly, ready to claim the body and loot the equipment.

But after deflecting the spear, Sun Yuan, as if he had anticipated the second spear, flipped his wrist, and the bat spun like a fan blade, striking the spear.

Bang!

The light-formed spear shattered.

"Huh?"

Chu Yuntao was dumbfounded, his mouth wide open, making his already unattractive face look even uglier, like a toad that had been stepped on.

Sun Yuan stepped forward, swinging the bat.

"Damn!"

Chu Yuntao cursed, hurriedly blocking, but he was still too slow and got hit on the shoulder.

Bang!

Chu Yuntao fell, but he knew it was a critical moment, so he rolled away from Sun Yuan and quickly took a healing pill.

Sun Yuan wanted to finish him off, but seeing Chu Yuntao's alertness and the short boy running toward the boomerang, he changed his mind and went for the equipment.

This ranged weapon was too much of a threat.

"Lei, be careful!"

Chu Yuntao shouted, "Everyone, stop him!"

Unfortunately, no one dared to move.

Chu Yuntao and Li Lei had used this combo to kill over a dozen spore people, but now, being repeatedly countered by Sun Yuan, they were thoroughly intimidated.

This kind of powerhouse,

They couldn't handle.

Li Lei was short and had short legs, but he ran fast, and the distance to the bushes was only about thirty meters, so he quickly caught up to Zhen Yu.

He pushed Zhen Yu to the ground and jumped into the bushes to retrieve the boomerang.

But at that moment, he heard a whistling sound behind him. Before he could turn to check, he was kicked in the back of the knee.

Bang!

Li Lei lost his balance and fell to the ground.

"Why is he here?"

Li Lei was confused. Wasn't this guy fighting Chu Yuntao?

Li Lei, facing away from Sun Yuan, didn't see him, but the others saw Sun Yuan sprinting with incredible speed, catching up to him in the blink of an eye.

His running speed was terrifying.

Sun Yuan kicked Li Lei in the head again.

Bang!

Li Lei was dazed and couldn't stand up.

Sun Yuan picked up the boomerang and walked to Zhen Yu. "Are you okay?"

"I... I'm fine!"

Zhen Yu's face was flushed with excitement. "Senior, you're amazing!"

She had thought they would suffer a major loss, but Senior dominated the entire scene.

The entire library area was silent.

Chu Yuntao's group was tense, their faces filled with fear and apprehension.

Sun Yuan's actions, deflecting the boomerang and blocking the two-hit combo from the fluctuation spear, had a significant impact on them.

"Great... Great Sage, how can you be so strong?"

Zhuo Wen was shocked.

After the rookie game, they had only been apart for less than an hour, and you've changed so much?

This is too overpowered, right?

Could it be that you're a returning war hero, pretending to be a student?

"This game is unfair!"

Chu Yuntao cursed.

Before meeting Sun Yuan, he thought the game was great because he had two pieces of equipment, giving him an advantage against spore people, which was why he dared to rob Sun Yuan.

But who knew he would be taught a lesson.

"Damn, I made the wrong choice!"

Zhang Qiuman covered her eyes in frustration.

Over twenty people couldn't beat one person!

You guys are useless.

Sigh!

I doubt Sun Yuan would even let me join his team, even if I begged.

Thinking of this, Zhang Qiuman regretted even more.

[What's going on? What equipment is Chu Yuntao trying to take from Sun Yuan?]

Lu Wenjun stared at Sun Yuan, then looked down at her phone, reading Shen Jingran's reply. She pursed her lips.

She had typed a long message explaining the situation, but now...

Lu Wenjun pressed the delete button, erasing the message, and typed three words.

[It's fine!]
