After entering, Zhuochuan saw the so-called God of Wisdom. As the goddess at the entrance who collected the city fee had said, the God of Wisdom was indeed a rabbit. However, unlike Dahu, it was a white rabbit, completely snow-white without a single blemish, looking more adorable and a bit cute.
But Zhuochuan wasn't a woman and didn't have the heart to care about such things.
The white rabbit's home was an ancient and elegant courtyard with a small bridge over a stream and flowers in full bloom. The only drawback was the lack of guests, making it unusually quiet.
As Dahu had said, this guy was the type who could go three years without business and then make enough to last another three years.
"You've come," the white rabbit said as soon as it saw Zhuochuan enter.
Its voice was full of沧桑 (沧桑 means "the vicissitudes of life" or "the passage of time"), and as it spoke, a special atmosphere began to permeate the entire ancient courtyard.
Zhuochuan was taken aback and instinctively replied, "I've come."
"You shouldn't have come." The rabbit turned its head and looked up at the sky.
(Why?) Zhuochuan was stunned and was about to blurt out the question, but he remembered Dahu's warning before entering. This guy was a martial arts enthusiast, and Zhuochuan suddenly recalled that this was a famous dialogue from a martial arts scene.
"I have come," he replied, mimicking the deep and solemn tone.
"You have indeed come."
"I have indeed come."
Silence, a long silence.
The rabbit and Zhuochuan stood there like statues, facing each other, with only the sound of the stream in the courtyard.
"Why have you come?" the rabbit finally broke the silence.
"I've come to find an answer," Zhuochuan frowned. He wasn't quite used to this and couldn't continue with the dialogue from the scene, so he tried to mimic the tone and style.
"What answer?"
"How to create another self." Zhuochuan put some thought into it and managed to convey his true need in this way. He figured the white rabbit would be able to guess his real request.
"What price are you willing to pay for the answer?" the rabbit pondered for a moment and slowly asked.
"A promise."
"What can you promise?"
"What do you want?"
"A world."
"What kind of world?" Zhuochuan felt a sense of unease. This guy must be asking for the moon.
"A world filled with chivalry, deep emotions, and the clash of swords—a passionate and heroic world."
"I can't give you that." Zhuochuan shook his head, sighing inwardly. Dahu had been talking nonsense, and now he had spent so much effort playing along with the martial arts style, only to be overcharged. It was a waste of energy and words.
"You can."
"On what basis do you think I can?"
"On the basis that you can come back to life from the time-space experiment and start over." When it came to practical matters, the rabbit couldn't completely maintain its martial arts style.
Zhuochuan was taken aback. The God of Wisdom indeed placed great importance on B47995, believing he could create a world.
But from its tone, it also knew that B47995's time-space experiment had failed. How could it still believe he could create a world?
Zhuochuan was puzzled for a moment but then remembered that Dahu had mentioned creating a soul space. Could that be what the rabbit wanted? He also recalled that when he absorbed soul power in the modern world, the souls of the dying seemed to go somewhere. Could that be the soul space?
Zhuochuan's thoughts raced, quickly connecting the dots. While the soul space was still a mystery to him, he needed the answer urgently. It was worth making a promise for it.
But from the rabbit's request, he could tell how important the soul space was. He couldn't simply agree.
"On what basis should I give it?"
"On the basis of the answer you seek."
"Is the answer I seek worth a world?"
"It is."
"Why?"
"You'll know when you hear it."
"I'm listening."
"The other you will have one-third of your current attributes and will grow alongside you."
Damn, just say it's a growing clone, Zhuochuan couldn't help but curse inwardly. The awkward dialogue had really gotten to him.
"That's not worth a world. You can only have the right to use it," Zhuochuan began to haggle.
"Fine, I don't care if I ever owned it, as long as I've been here," the rabbit changed its style again.
"Can others have it too?" Zhuochuan didn't care about the rabbit's character; he was more concerned about whether the growing clone would be unique. If others could have it, it wouldn't be a significant advantage.
"Only you can."
"Why?"
"Don't ask me." The rabbit seemed to be tired of Zhuochuan's endless questions and pointed to Dahu, who was rolling around, jumping, and chasing butterflies in the garden. "This is the Son of Wisdom, bound by fate to you. He can answer your question."
Dahu seemed to hear the rabbit and stopped, saying不满地 (不满地 means "dissatisfied") "Little White, while I'm grateful for the life you gave me, don't call me your son. What Son of Wisdom? I don't want it. If you're called the God of Wisdom, I don't want an extra father on my head."
The serious topic was interrupted by Dahu, and Zhuochuan was stunned. No wonder Dahu always called the God of Wisdom "that guy." They had this kind of relationship.
"Hmph, a coward like you, I wouldn't want you as a son. Your cowardly behavior has been noticed by many. Your reputation has already spread among the upper citizens, and because of you, I've lost several deals," the rabbit snapped, jumping up and scolding Dahu.
"What?" Dahu's black face turned red. "That's not cowardice, it's prudence. Everyone knew the experiment had no chance of success, and no one came to stop it. They were all waiting to see the show."
"Hmph, I don't care. You explain it to your master." The rabbit turned away and spoke to Zhuochuan.
"Right, are you willing to promise to give me the right to use the world once you create it? If you want to back out, take this annoying black thing and leave my home. If you agree, let's start the agreement."
"Alright, I agree." Zhuochuan thought about it. It was a future possibility, and he would only fulfill it when he had the ability. It seemed he was getting a good deal, just the right to use it, not a fundamental loss.
"You've finally agreed." Little White nodded and started acting strange again.
"I've finally agreed." Zhuochuan sighed, covering his face with his right hand. If he kept this up, he'd start talking like this all the time.
"Stop playing the hero. I've agreed, so you should tell me the answer quickly."
The white rabbit rolled its eyes and said, "What's the rush? Come inside first." It then walked into the room.
Zhuochuan followed the rabbit inside, and Dahu naturally didn't follow. It blinked its black eyes in the grass, watching Zhuochuan's back, lost in thought.
