“Xuanyang!”

A few players nearby, after casting their detection spells again, found that although they couldn't detect Yang Xu's profession or attributes, they could see his name.

"How did he reveal his name?" a Taoist player was stunned and asked.

"Probably to become famous. If he can gain a lot of popularity in the early stages of the game, it will be easier to create a guild and recruit members later on," a bearded knight player pondered and said.

"Right, look at his skills. He can even make the White-Eyed Rabbit's attacks miss. He's likely a martial arts expert in real life. With such skills, once he gains fame and popularity, it will be easy for him to gather a group of people to dominate the game, right?" a swordsman player chimed in.

They were half right. Yang Xu did want to become famous, but he had no intention of dominating the game. He just wanted to use his fame to increase his value and make money more easily.

"Since he's revealed his name, let's do him a favor. We'll post on the forum later. I've even thought of a title: 'Hidden Profession Revealed.' What do you think?" the bearded knight player suggested.

"Good, let's write it that way!" The swordsman player's eyes lit up. Hidden professions were a hot topic among players. With over 3 billion players from around the world in the game, no one had heard of anyone obtaining a hidden profession yet.

"We still can't detect his profession. Is it really good to write it like that?" the Taoist player hesitated.

"Let's be clickbait this time!" the bearded knight player chuckled. "Besides, who can deal 3 points of damage with just a beginner's sword? There's probably only one person in the world who can do that. It's most likely a hidden profession. Otherwise, why wouldn't he reveal his profession?"

The other two nodded in agreement with the bearded knight's words.

After revealing his name, Yang Xu ignored the other players and walked up to another White-Eyed Rabbit. This time, he didn't even use the Flying Sword technique; he went straight for a melee attack.

The Flying Sword technique was a magical attack based on Yang Xu's minimum attack power, so it could only deal 2 points of damage each time. However, in melee combat, Yang Xu could consistently deal 3 points of damage, making it faster to kill a White-Eyed Rabbit than it would be for a level 0 player in a group, who would take about 15 seconds per rabbit.

Ordinary players needed 50 experience points to level up from level 0 to level 1, but Yang Xu needed twice that. Killing one White-Eyed Rabbit gave 1 experience point, so he needed to kill 100 White-Eyed Rabbits to level up.

"Killing one takes about 15 seconds, so 100 would take 1500 seconds. Adding the time to find the next rabbit, it would take about 1800 seconds, or 30 minutes, to level up. This speed is faster than most others," Yang Xu calculated, feeling excited.

At this rate, he could reach level 4 or even 5 in a day, not far behind the top player in Leaf Town!

"However, this speed isn't enough. I entered the game 24 hours later than that guy. Even if I level up a bit faster, it will take a long time to catch up to his level," Yang Xu thought. "I need to kill stronger monsters."

After some consideration, Yang Xu decided to kill a few more White-Eyed Rabbits to complete the two quests he had taken, then move on to stronger enemies.

Yang Xu continued to kill monsters, easily dodging the White-Eyed Rabbits' attacks. The "MISS" messages above his head amazed all the nearby new players. Some players, impressed by Yang Xu's skills, asked to add him as a friend or join a party, but he declined. Time was precious, and he didn't want anything to slow down his leveling process.

Yang Xu knew that his fast leveling speed was due to his superior skills, but he was still a new player. He lacked the knowledge and experience of many other players, who might find special leveling methods and leave him behind.

This faint sense of crisis made Yang Xu never relax. He constantly reminded himself to level up and earn money to meet his sister's expectations and improve his master and mistress's lives.

Yang Xu kept killing White-Eyed Rabbits, moving from one to the next without wasting a second. As he did, more and more players gathered around, watching his fluid dodges and attacks. Many tried to imitate his dodges, but often ended up being killed by the White-Eyed Rabbits, losing their experience and having to respawn in Leaf Town.

Yang Xu sometimes glanced at the other players, finding it amusing. He had practiced for years to dodge the White-Eyed Rabbits' attacks so easily. How could other players learn so quickly?

After killing the 15th White-Eyed Rabbit, a copper coin finally dropped.

As Yang Xu picked up the coin, he thought, "No wonder someone on the forum offered to buy copper coins for 10 yuan each and got criticized for being too stingy. The drop rate is really low!"

In "The Other World," the drop rate for copper coins was much higher than for equipment, about one in twenty. Even so, killing monsters for a day might yield only a few copper coins. Other players, who often grouped up, had to split the coins, unlike Yang Xu, who could keep them all.

After a moment of reflection, Yang Xu continued to kill monsters.

"MISS!"

"3!"

...

After about 20 minutes, Yang Xu stopped.

"I already have over 80 experience points. I just need to kill a few more White-Eyed Rabbits to level up. However, I've completed my two quests to kill White-Eyed Rabbits, so it's not cost-effective to keep killing them. I should go for the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit. I have a quest to kill one of those anyway."

Many players around Yang Xu were puzzled when they saw him leaving the area.

"Where is he going? That area is where the Elite White-Eyed Rabbits are, right?"

"This player, Xuanyang, is amazing. He can dodge all the White-Eyed Rabbit's attacks. He doesn't need to heal after killing them. Unlike us, who have to spend time healing and group up, which makes us much slower."

"His killing speed is indeed insane, but it takes 50 experience points to level up from 0 to 1. He's killed at least 80 White-Eyed Rabbits, so he should have leveled up by now, right?"

"He probably thinks killing White-Eyed Rabbits is too slow, so he wants to kill Elite White-Eyed Rabbits to level up faster."

"He's only level 0. How can he dare to go there? Elite White-Eyed Rabbits have very high attack power. Only level 3 players can handle them, and even then, they need to group up. Although Elite monsters have a tenfold drop rate compared to normal ones, they only give ten times the experience of a same-level monster. Killing an Elite White-Eyed Rabbit isn't as cost-effective as killing a level 2 monster. In the early stages, everyone is busy leveling up. Who would waste time on Elite monsters?"

"Others can't do it, but this expert, Xuanyang, might be able to. He can dodge all the White-Eyed Rabbit's attacks. Even if the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit has high attack power, it won't matter if it can't hit him. He might be able to kill it without taking any damage!"

The players became curious, and some of the bolder ones followed Yang Xu to see if he could kill the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit, which even level 3 players couldn't solo.

Yang Xu knew some players were following him but didn't mind. He checked his quest log.

Yang Xu's quest log had four quests. The top, blood-red quest was the legendary ultimate quest: "The Return of the Gods."

---

The Return of the Gods

Quest Level: Ultimate

Quest Requirements: Not activated (Conditions not met)

Quest Reward: Unknown

Failure Punishment: Forced account deletion, permanent ban from "The Other World"!

Quest Description: In the vast world of The Other World, the gods are the supreme beings, the controllers of order. However, ten thousand years ago, the temples gradually lost their divine power, and the gods no longer protected the people. The world became chaotic and was gradually enveloped by darkness. Dispelling the darkness and bringing light is your inescapable mission!

...

Yang Xu was wary of this quest. If he failed, he would be permanently banned from the game. Moreover, the quest requirements were unknown, and the quest hadn't even been activated yet. This mysterious "mission" gave him a headache.

Forget it, he thought. It's an ultimate quest, and it might not activate until he reaches a certain level.

Yang Xu then looked at the next two completed beginner quests, both involving killing White-Eyed Rabbits. One required killing 30, and the other 50. He just needed to return to Leaf Town to claim the rewards. However, he still had one more quest to complete:

Hunt the Elite

Quest Level: Normal

Quest Requirements: Kill one Elite White-Eyed Rabbit

Quest Reward: Unknown, determined by the difficulty of the quest

Failure Punishment: None

Quest Description: The Elite White-Eyed Rabbit is a major nuisance to the residents of Leaf Town. Even the town's bravest warriors can't handle it. If you can kill it, the mayor will surely reward you generously! However, be cautious, as the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit is very dangerous.

The only thing Yang Xu didn't understand was the "reward determined by the difficulty of the quest." What did that mean? Wasn't it just about killing a level 0 Elite White-Eyed Rabbit? Could the difficulty vary?

As Yang Xu walked toward the area with the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit, he recalled the information he had found on the official website and forums. After reading, he had a rough idea of the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit's attributes.

The forums and official website said that Elite monsters had ten times the health of normal monsters, but not much more. However, their attack power was also ten times higher, which was quite terrifying. In terms of attack power, they were almost as strong as same-level bosses, whose main challenge was their massive health, about 100 times that of a normal monster, while Elite monsters had only ten times the health.

In terms of rewards, killing a boss was the most cost-effective. Bosses had a 50% chance of dropping equipment and rare items, while Elite monsters, despite having ten times the drop rate of normal monsters, only had a 1% chance.

"Based on this, the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit's attack power is probably around 70, and its health around 200," Yang Xu estimated. "No wonder the forums say level 3 players can't solo it. Even a tank knight with all points in health would only have 160 health at level 3, which wouldn't withstand three attacks from an Elite monster."

A few minutes later, Yang Xu saw a large green meadow in his line of sight. A gentle breeze blew, and the sun was bright. He could even smell the fresh grass.

He was impressed by how realistic "The Other World" was, even in terms of smell.

On the meadow, there were many large white rabbits. Yang Xu used a detection spell on one of them:

Elite White-Eyed Rabbit

Level: 0

Attack: 72-78

Defense: 3

Health: 230

"The attack power is indeed high. No wonder no one is around here. Luckily, the defense is similar to a normal White-Eyed Rabbit, or my 3-point attack wouldn't even break through it," Yang Xu muttered, tightening his wooden sword and walking toward an Elite White-Eyed Rabbit.

A group of players nearby were closely watching Yang Xu, and a few even turned on their in-game camera to record his attempt to solo the Elite monster. They weren't sure if he could do it, as one hit from the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit would instantly kill him. However, they believed his skills would allow him to survive a few attacks.

For a level 0 player, surviving a few attacks from an Elite monster would be a remarkable feat!

The players were excited and eager to witness this moment.

When Yang Xu approached an Elite White-Eyed Rabbit, he struck without hesitation. The sword moved swiftly, cutting through the air with a sharp sound.

"3!"

A prominent red number appeared above the half-human-sized White-Eyed Rabbit's head. The rabbit, enraged, swiped at Yang Xu with its sharp white claws, moving extremely fast.

"Swish!"

Yang Xu sidestepped, easily dodging the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit's attack.

"MISS!"

He successfully dodged the Elite White-Eyed Rabbit's attack!

"Great!"

"Your dodge was amazing!"

"Awesome, man!"

"Master, you're incredible, so cool!"

...

The nearby players cheered loudly, their excitement evident.
