Chapter 20

"In ancient times, stone lions were usually symbolic of warding off evil. People generally regarded stone lions as auspicious objects to protect their homes from evil spirits. At the same time, stone lions also symbolized power and nobility," Su Jiu paused for a moment, organizing his thoughts, and then continued.

"In feng shui, there are several points to note when placing stone lions, which ordinary people often overlook. Everyone knows that stone lions are placed at the entrance, but how they are placed is a matter of great subtlety."

"Old Li, your villa is situated facing south with the entrance facing southeast, right?" Su Jiu paused, then turned to observe the general layout of Old Li's villa.

"That's correct. The orientation of my villa is indeed like that. What's the problem, Master Su?" Old Li was taken aback by Su Jiu's question and responded after a moment.

"The orientation of your villa is not the problem. Your villa is the best in terms of feng shui in the Dragon Coiling Mountain Villa, located in the most auspicious position of the Bagua Dragon Coiling Array. The feng shui of the villa itself is fundamentally sound. The problem lies with the stone lions."

Su Jiu said this calmly.

"The most important point in placing stone lions is that they should be placed in the west!"

"Why?" Old Li was immediately filled with doubt upon hearing Su Jiu's words. He knew a bit about the role of stone lions, and had been advised by experts before. The pair of stone lions at the entrance of his villa were bought at a high price after being recommended by an expert.

"In ancient times, lions were introduced from the Western Regions, so the northwest is their most active area, which gives them a geographical advantage. Secondly, lions belong to the乾 (Gan) trigram, which is located in the northwest. Therefore, placing stone lions in the northwest direction allows them to function most effectively."

"Old Li, the position of the stone lions at the entrance is facing southeast from the northwest, which is correct according to the orientation of the villa's entrance. The placement of the stone lions was likely guided by an expert, right?" Su Jiu asked.

"That's correct."

"However, Old Li, take a closer look here. See if there's anything different."

Su Jiu turned sideways, pointing to the ground beneath the stone lion's base, and spoke to Old Li and Old Zhao.

Following Su Jiu's finger, a faint trace could be seen on the ground beneath the stone lion's base. It was hard to notice without careful observation, but once seen, everyone could tell that the stone lion had been slightly moved.

Su Jiu was aware that he had sensed a change in the feng shui aura of the stone lions as soon as he got out of the car. He felt that the aura of the stone lions was very abnormal. Stone lions are used to protect homes from evil spirits by using their own aura to dispel negative energy through their heads. This is why stone lions are generally large. However, here, Su Jiu felt that although the stone lions were still functioning to protect the home, they were not dispersing the evil energy but rather accumulating it inside.

"Old Li, take a look at the stone lion at the entrance. If my guess is correct, that stone lion has also been tampered with," Su Jiu said, looking at Old Li and Old Zhao, who both crouched down to examine it closely.

Old Li and Old Zhao walked to the base of the stone lion at the entrance and indeed found similar traces.

"The stone lions have been tampered with. Their function is to protect the home from evil spirits. After being tampered with, the evil energy cannot be dispersed and is instead absorbed by the stone lions. This has caused the pearl in the lion's mouth to turn black. When the pearl turns completely black, it will be the end for Old Li."

Su Jiu spoke calmly while observing the expressions of Old Li and Old Zhao. Although they were deeply shocked, they still had some doubts. Su Jiu knew exactly what they were thinking.

"From the moment I got out of the car and entered the villa, I could tell from Old Li's appearance. Old Li's chest tightness and shortness of breath, and the frequent waking at night, are signs of being 'injured in the soul.' The eyebrows indicate longevity, and the soul is tied to the eyebrows. Old Li's eyebrows are starting to thin, which shows that he has been affected by the evil energy of the stone lions and has been injured in the soul. If nothing changes, Old Li's condition will gradually worsen in three months, he will be unable to walk in six months, and he will certainly die within three years."

Hearing Su Jiu's words, Old Li and Old Zhao were stunned, unable to react for a moment.

"The Dragon Coiling Mountain Villa is the most secure residential area in the entire Xiang City. Outsiders generally cannot enter, let alone move a stone lion that weighs hundreds of pounds without heavy machinery," Old Li instinctively countered.

Su Jiu just smiled and took a few steps forward without directly refuting him.

When Su Jiu walked to the stone lion at the entrance, Old Li and Old Zhao were stunned by his actions, unsure of what he was going to do.

Su Jiu walked to the side of the stone lion, slowly raised his hands, and assumed a horse stance!

"What is he doing? Is he going to move the stone lion? Impossible! The stone lion weighs hundreds of pounds! This young man looks so frail, how could he...?"

Before Old Li's thoughts were complete, a sharp scraping sound was heard, and the stone lion at the entrance was slowly moved about half a meter by Su Jiu.

"This... " Old Li and Old Zhao were speechless, completely dumbfounded. In today's society, moving a stone lion weighing hundreds of pounds, nearly a thousand pounds, was simply beyond human capability, especially for such a young and thin man.

But the scene before them left Old Li and Old Zhao speechless, completely颠覆ing their worldview.

Su Jiu took a deep breath, released his horse stance, and calmed his internal energy.

At this moment, Su Jiu looked calm, but he was secretly wiping sweat. He had originally thought the marble stone lion would weigh at most five or six hundred pounds, but the A-grade white marble stone was unexpectedly so heavy, nearly a thousand pounds. If he hadn't reached the Qi Cultivation stage, he wouldn't have been able to move the stone lion.

At this moment, Su Jiu stood still, his thighs slightly numb.

After a moment, Su Jiu caught his breath and smiled at Old Li, effectively refuting his doubts with his actions.

This left Old Li speechless, not knowing what to say.

In fact, Old Li was already extremely shocked. He knew that there were indeed some extraordinary people and events in the world, and he had heard of them, but when they happened right in front of him, he was no longer so calm, only shocked.

"Master Su, is there a way to resolve this feng shui issue?" Old Li, still in shock, asked. Although he was well-versed, certain matters affecting his life were not so easy to handle calmly.
