Su Jiu politely declined the farewell of Old Li and Old Zhao, and under the accompaniment of Old Li’s dedicated driver, he was specially sent back to the school.

When he returned to the school, it was almost noon, the time for lunch, and there was no one else in the dormitory.

Su Jiu was a bit worried that his roommates would see him take out the compass and other feng shui items. He didn’t want his few roommates to look at him with strange eyes during his college years.

Although, to some extent, Su Jiu didn’t mind exposing his knowledge of feng shui and mysticism, it was better not to expose it if he could. He only hoped that his college life could proceed peacefully.

For these four years.

“Ding ling… ding ling…” Just as Su Jiu had finished tidying up, the cheap old-style mobile phone in his pocket rang.

“Who would be calling me at this time?” Su Jiu muttered.

When Su Jiu took out his phone, he saw it was his father.

“Hello! Dad, have you eaten? Why are you calling me at this time?”

“Xiao Jiu, next month is your grandfather’s 70th birthday. I’m calling to remind you in advance so you don’t forget. Remember to take leave. Your grandfather is planning a grand celebration and will invite the villagers. You need to come back two days early to help.”

“Okay, I got it. I’ll come back early.”

“No other business. Xiao Jiu, have you eaten yet? Go eat first. That’s it! Bye!”

“Dad!” Su Jiu’s words were cut off as the call went dead.

Su Jiu felt a bit depressed.

He had originally planned to tell his father about the events of the past few days, especially about the feng shui setup in the second teaching building and Old Li’s villa. As a feng shui family, the Su family passed down their knowledge through a single lineage. His feng shui and mysticism were taught by his grandfather, and his father’s knowledge was also from his grandfather. However, his father only knew a little, while Su Jiu had fully inherited his grandfather’s legacy.

But this didn’t stop him from discussing feng shui and mysticism with his father.

Su Jiu sighed helplessly and put the cheap old-style mobile phone back into his pocket.

If an outsider saw, they might find it strange that a feng shui master, who usually associates with the elite, would use such a cheap old-style mobile phone. Moreover, Su Jiu’s clothes were not designer brands.

In the Su family, there was a special rule: one could not practice feng shui until they reached the Qi Cultivation realm.

Su Jiu’s father had not reached this realm, and Su Jiu’s grandfather had retired decades ago.

Therefore, the Su family was not very wealthy. Su Jiu’s father adhered to the old tradition of raising sons in poverty and daughters in wealth, which was why Su Jiu had volunteered to help Old Zhao and Old Li with feng shui this time.

When Su Jiu got back into the black car and returned to Panlong Villa, it was already several minutes later.

“Master Su, I really appreciate your efforts this time.” This time, the treatment Su Jiu received was clearly different from the morning. Old Li and Old Zhao were waiting at the villa’s entrance for Su Jiu to get out of the car.

“Old Li, you’re too kind!” Su Jiu also noticed the change in Old Li’s attitude. As the saying goes, one doesn’t hit a smiling face. With Old Li’s attitude, Su Jiu naturally didn’t mind and wouldn’t embarrass himself.

Su Jiu was very clear that he was practicing feng shui for two reasons: to make money and to verify the content recorded on the golden compass in his mind, to see if it was as true as it seemed.

Su Jiu got out of the car, carrying his backpack, and followed Old Li and Old Zhao directly into the villa. When they reached the lawn and the stone path, Su Jiu stopped and said to Old Li, “Old Li, have you prepared the things I wrote down?”

“Everything is ready. As soon as you left, I had someone buy them directly from the city.”

“Old Li, have someone bring out the dragon-patterned fir incense table from the living room and place it where I’m standing now,” Su Jiu said after a moment of thought.

Hearing this, Old Li immediately made the arrangements. Soon, a maid brought out a dark brown incense table with dragon patterns and placed it where Su Jiu had indicated.

At the same time, the items Su Jiu had asked Old Li to buy were also ready and placed on the incense table.

Su Jiu took out the compass, the bagua, the yin-yang mirror, and other items from his backpack and placed them on the incense table.

When the incense burner, incense sticks, and paper money were all ready, Su Jiu took out the cheap old-style mobile phone from his pocket to check the time.

After a moment, he put it back in his pocket and muttered, “This cheap phone’s time isn’t very accurate. I’ll just use a sundial.”

Su Jiu took out a small sundial from his backpack and placed it steadily on the incense table. The sun was bright, and the shadow on the sundial was clearly visible.

It was almost noon, and Su Jiu had everything ready: the talismans, cinnabar, and wolf-hair brush.

After preparing everything, Su Jiu waited for noon.

The best time to resolve the Heart Fire Sha was at noon.

“Old Li, Old Zhao, the feng shui is tranquil. No matter what you see or hear, do not make a sound or any movement!”

After preparing everything, Su Jiu said seriously to Old Li and Old Zhao.

Wearing a white shirt, Su Jiu stood in front of the incense table, his face serious, exuding an indescribable aura.

Noon arrived quickly. Su Jiu looked at the sundial on the incense table, and it was exactly noon.

Standing in front of the incense table, Su Jiu picked up three long incense sticks with his right hand, held them with two fingers, and drew a few strokes in the air with his left hand. Instantly, the three incense sticks emitted a light smoke.

Old Li and Old Zhao, watching from the side, were immediately shocked. Su Jiu’s performance was like a magic show, incredibly amazing.

After lighting the incense sticks, Su Jiu clasped his hands, one palm facing outward and the other inward. He bowed three times in front of the incense table, then bowed three times to each side.

This method of bowing was very particular, known as “awakening bow” or “sacrificial bow,” which was a salute to the spirits of the four directions.

In folk traditions, after performing the kneeling and bowing ritual to ancestors, three incense sticks were always lit and placed at the grave, followed by a bow to the land and mountain gods. The meaning was similar, with only slight differences.

A while ago, when Su Jiu was in the second teaching building, he had seen the middle-aged man perform this ritual. This method was commonly used before resolving a feng shui setup.
