Inside a high school.
The corridors were crowded with people and people crowded around the bulletin board to watch the latest travel photo list.
Yuanshan’s daughter, Koizumi was squeezed into the crowd to look at the list, strangely not seeing any photos of her best friend’s from the top to the bottom of the list.
Koizumi took a step backwards, slightly panicked, and then left from the crowd.
She couldn’t listen to the course of the day today. After a blink of an eye, it was finally over.
She walked down the downhill road from school, thinking about the three classmates she had never been able to get in touch with.
Her friends hadn’t come to school today.
Koizumi thought of their trip together not long ago, and many bad thoughts flashed in her mind…
It won’t be…. It won’t be okay.
Koizumi shook the scary stuff out of her mind and picked up her pace a bit.
Walking down the road, she passed a telephone pole that had a missing person’s poster on it, and it was this missing person’s poster that stopped her in her tracks.
Koizumi looked at the photo carefully, her face instantly white.
The photo on the notice…. It was those three classmates of Koizumi’s.
They were missing.
“How could they be missing? We, we were merely…”
Koizuni’s eyes held fear in them, and she began to run, to hurry home.
“I shouldn’t have promised them to go to haunted houses.”
Koizuni’s steps were messy, her eyes unseeing, and she thought about yesterday’s trip to the haunted house.
At that time, she and the other three girls, after learning about the school’s travel photo contest, had the idea of adventuring to the deserted mansion in the suburbs, but halfway there, Koizumi had a sudden bad feeling and left early.
And it wasn’t long before…. Koizumi learned of the disappearance of the three of them.
Could it be that they were all dead….
……..
Koizumi was in a trance and finally arrived at home.
She and her mother were the only ones at home, and her mother was always in a trance since her father had died and disappeared ten years ago.
Koizumi was walking on the corridor, while next door was her mother who was listening to the radio.
“Today’s news, an old woman’s body was found in Nerima District. It was confirmed that it was a female community worker who disappeared ten years ago, Rika, and the police are now investigating…”
“Tap tap tap.”
The sound of footsteps caused her mother to turn back, only to see Koizumi’s back as she scrambled up the stairs.
……..
Koizumi went back to her room, she hid in the corner, there was a very bad feeling around her.
She looked out the window, and there was obviously nothing outside the window, but she felt like a pair of eyes were staring at her.
The stare was unpleasant, so she pulled the curtains up in an attempt to block out this horrible sight, but the feeling didn’t diminish by half, it was still as obvious as a beam stabbing her back.
It wasn’t enough…. Not enough.
Koizumi got out of bed and all she could find was the newspaper, so she pasted it all over the window.
It wasn’t enough…. It wasn’t enough.
The feeling was still coming from the window, but there was nothing she could do about it.
So all she could do was sit in the corner by the bed, hugging her pillow, alert to any possible hiding places around her.
“Knock knock.”
There was a knock on the door.
“Who’s there!”
A slight knock on the door but it caused a strong reaction from Koizumi.
“Koizumi, what’s wrong? It’s me, Xiao Mei!”
The door was pushed open, and Koizumi calmed down a bit when she saw it was her best friend with another friend.
And when Xiaomei saw Koizumi’s nervous look, she naturally felt something was wrong.
“Why is the room so dark…”
Xiaomei said.
She walked to the window and opened the curtains, but the expected sunlight did not illuminate the room, but was blocked by a thick newspaper.
“Koizumi…. What the hell are you doing? Why are you using newspaper against the glass?”
Xiaomei disliked it, and planned to tear up the newspaper.
“Elegant Butterfly!”
Xiao Mei’s behaviour drew the utmost rejection from Koizumi, she shouted to stop Xiao Mei’s movement and jumped up to grab her hand.
Seeing Koizumi’s frantic appearance, Xiao Mei was shocked and a little scared, so she complied with Koizumi’s request and didn’t touch the newspaper on the glass again.
Koizumi’s emotions gradually calmed down, except for the lingering fear in her eyes.
“Koizumi, what’s wrong with you?”
Xiaomei asked, but Koizumi was silent, and the two could not communicate.
“Forget it, why don’t you just leave and come back another time.”
Xiaomei and her other friend discussed and eventually left the room, leaving Koizumi huddled alone in the corner of the room.
“It’s strange, how could Koizumi become like this?”
“That’s right…. I also said that I was going to give the re-developed photos to Koizumi, but I just forgot about them.”
Xiaomei said to another girl, but the girl didn’t understand either, and Xiaomei was puzzled, finally looking at the photos in her hand, which were given to her by Koizumi, of her adventures in the haunted house.
“Ah!”
Xiao Mei screamed and almost couldn’t grasp the photo in her hand.
“How did all these pictures turn out like this?”
On the photo of Koizumi and three other girls, the eyes of all three girls turned black, and only Koizumi’s eyes were normal.
All the photos were the same.
“Is it the print shop’s problem?”
Xiao Mei was worried, but in the end she didn’t go further.
She collected the photos and set off on the way home.
……..
……..
Late night.
Koizumi was so sleepy she didn’t know what time it was.
She was awake now.
She silently climbed out of bed and stood at the door of her bedroom. A faint light outside the door attracted Koizumi.
“Who was it?”
Mother obviously wouldn’t be up this late.
She walked down the stairs in silence, there was a room glowing and Koizumi approached unconsciously, climbing by the door.
She pushed the door open gently, it was a utility room.
There was a familiar figure in the room, she had seen it ten years ago.
It was her dad.
It was her father who had been dead for ten years, Yuanshan.
He sat on the floor with his back to Koizumi, then he slowly turned around, looked at Koizumi with a lonely expression, and stretched out a hand and beckoned towards Koizumi.
The look in his eyes was filled with attachment and reluctance.
Koizumi stepped forward, but the sky spun before her eyes, then she woke up with a start in the next moment.
She opened her eyes and saw the ceiling of her room.
“Huh…”
She looked complicated.
So it was a dream.
She sat up on her back, for some reason, she was no longer sleepy.
Only as soon as she sat up, she noticed that many pieces of paper had fallen from her body.
She picked up these pieces of paper and her pupils contracted.
It was newspaper.
She looked out the window, where the newspaper had been torn, revealing a hole.
Who had torn the newspaper?
Has anyone been in here?
The feeling of being watched was becoming more and more obvious, and she was very afraid, but her body was still unconsciously close to the window.
What was beyond the window?
Koizumi looked out the window through a hole.
The street…. Streetlights….
Suddenly, a pale face appeared in the hole.
“Ah!”
Koizumi was terrified, this face was familiar to her.
It was the face of a friend who had gone on a haunted house adventure together!
Not only was there one ghost face, but two other ghost faces appeared on the side of the window.
Three of their faces moved a little closer to the window, and then with black eyes, they stared at Koizumi.
“Don’t…. Don’t come over, don’t blame me! It really wasn’t my fault!”
Koizumi choked and begged for mercy, and the three faces disappeared out the window.
But they didn’t disappear.
The bedroom door opened.
When Koizumi looked towards the door, three girls dressed in black school uniforms entered Koizumi’s room one step at a time, and one step closer to him.
“Don’t…. Don’t.”
Koizumi desperately retreated, but there was no retreating.
“Don’t kill me, Yami!”
“Ah!”
“Bang!”
A loud noise rang out, and Koizumi unconsciously looked out the window where a large hole appeared and a man, holding a fire extinguisher, climbed in through the window.
“So I’ll just say you’re a supporting character.”
“All day long, you just know how to run away, don’t you?”
Chen Lu put down the fire extinguisher and looked at the three female ghost students.
“Why are you catching up here, don’t you have to go reincarnate?”
