Chapter 17: - Final Check-in

Chen Lu walked out of the Yuanshan’s home, and everything around him gradually returning like a fade to ten years ago.

She placed her bag on the table and walked into the bedroom.

Even though she had already showered before she left the house, she decided to do it again.

The shower turned on, fogging the entire bathroom, and in the haze, Rika soaked her hair and hit the shampoo….

A white hand slowly climbed up Rika’s head, but Rika was unaware of it until her own hands touched the cold hand and she yelped in panic.

Why were there so many cats in the house?

Rika shrank up and huddled on the edge of the bed, her pupils a mixture of fear and incredulity, and the next moment she shouted, stepping on the open ground and rushing out of the room.

During this time these black cats didn’t move at all, only rotating their own eyes as she moved.

“What the hell is going on in this world?”

Rika choked out as she grabbed her shoes in a panic and was about to run out of her house.

“Ringing.”

Rika’s phone rang.

After reading the caller alert, the moment it was connected, there was a miserable scream from the other end.

“Rika, help me, I’m dying, help me!”

“What’s wrong with you, Hui? Xiaohui!”

“Ah!”

“Toot…. Toot…. Beep….”

The phone cut off.

“Hui…. Xiao Hui!”

Rika growled in pain as she fell to her knees and cried in pain, her cries echoing throughout the hallway.

“No…. Hui wait for me, I will come and save you!”

Rika struggled to get up from the ground, then ran out of the house towards Tokunaga’s house.

It must be there…. Hui must be there!

As soon as Rika left the house, she saw the front door of Tokuhei’s house.

Rika didn’t have time to think about it and pushed the gate open and rushed in.

“Rika…. Help me!”

“Xiaohui, Xiaohui!”

Rika followed the sound and pushed open the room where the sound was coming from.

The room was empty.

Rika looked around and could only see a wardrobe.

Right….. It must be in the closet!

Rika snapped and pushed open the cupboard, but all she saw was Xiaohui’s two waving legs and Xiaohui’s miserable screams.

Half of her body had disappeared, and her body was disappearing at a rapid rate beneath her eyes.

“Save me Rika, save…”

Rika was too weak to act in time, so she could only watch as Xiaohui was pulled into the cupboard, and then the cupboard didn’t move again.

Xiao Hui….

Rika took a step backwards, her heart cold to the extreme.
