Chapter 18: - Mutiny / Part 2

Chen Lu dragged Rika back up the stairs that led to the second floor.

There was supposed to be a mirror here, and Rika was the one who found out that she was the Gamecock after looking into the mirror, but Chen Lu was quick with his hands and hid the mirror beforehand.

Now that there was no mirror in the hallway, Rika wouldn’t be able to transform right away.

But if he couldn’t move the plot forward because Rika didn’t look in the mirror, Chen Lu would have had to take the mirror out, except at that point it was hard to be sure if Rika’s beliefs were enough to not turn into a gamecock.

“Tread.”

As soon as the two of them walked up the stairs, heavy footsteps came from above.

Chen Lu and Rika stopped at the same time and stared intently at the stairs.

Was it going to appear?

The one in the corridor was glowing, first a huge shadow appeared at the corner of the corridor, then the shadow drew closer and closer, and a man appeared from around the corner.

His eyes were fierce, half of his face was smeared with bright red blood, his clothes were tattered and old, and in his hands he held a chain with blackened blood and exaggerated scratches.

He was Junxiong.

Junxiong stood at the other end of the hallway, the light striking his face half black and half bright, high as a judge.

“Gangxiong Gamecock.”

Rika heard the name and instantly suffered a heavy blow, falling to her knees and gasping for air, her body still tending to turn white, and those eyes slowly turning blood red.

“You’re Rika… you’re not the Gangxiong!”

Chen Lu was anxious, the situation was tougher than expected, his left eye immediately expanded, but the ghost eye that could only go to second gear looked out of reach in the current situation.

Unless Chen Lu was willing to ruthlessly open the third gear, it wouldn’t help.

“The good news is that Rika is still struggling, and she has a tendency to turn back after hearing Chen Lu’s voice.

“I’m Rika… I’m Rika…”

“Gamecock! You brought back the wild man again, wasn’t my usual beating hard enough?”

Jun Xiong’s speed was so fast that Chen Lu didn’t even react, and the chain was already fallen on Rika.

“Ah!”

Rika howled in pain, the blow not only smacked her flesh, but also her mind, Rika was almost instantly transformed into a gamecock, her form no longer distinguishable at the moment.

She lifted her eyes, which contained blood red, and looked at the man in front of her with hatred.

“I hate that look, it’s obviously your fault, but it’s like I did something wrong.”

With a grim smile, Gangxiong waved the chain again.

“Stop!”

Chen Lu’s voice didn’t drink to stop Gangxiong, Gangxiong still lifted the chain. If the knock was strong this time, Rika would definitely become a Gamecock.

Chen Lu couldn’t persevere anymore…Chen Lu blocked in front of the gamecock, his left eye expanded fiercely, first gear… second gear… third gear!

Chen Lu directly set the Ghost Eye to third gear, the Ghost Eye occupied most of his face and was emitting a black light underneath his eye, defending against the attack of Gangxiong.

“Pah!”

The chain hit Chen Lu’s body hard, and a wound that could be seen as bone spread from his shoulder to his hip.

The intense pain affected Chen Lu’s consciousness, and the third-gear Ghost Eyes could only serve to weaken him, he was unable to block Gangxiong’s attack.

“Chen Lu!”

Gamecock froze and looked at Chen Lu, who was facing her back, and then at Rika, who was laughing sardonically.

A bolt of lightning struck down and the instant light illuminated Rika’s white face.

Chen Lu didn’t know what was happening behind him, he was still blocking Rika, and he had to give Rika time to recover no matter what.

As long as she was stable, there was hope for her to live.

The scariest thing in the movie was Gamecock and Junxiong, and Gangxiong wasn’t too strong except to control Gamecock and Junxiong.

He worked hard, he would surely destroy Gangxiong with his ghost eyes!

“Yah!”

Chen Lu shouted as his Ghost Eye swelled once again, the familiar pain and itching taking over Chen Lu’s head once again.

The ghost eye that occupied most of his face did not enlarge again, but instead gave birth to a black and red vein like a root, and the veins spread everywhere. The red figure in the eyes came again, this time he could even see the grasp of his hand.

He limped, from a distance, slowly, to the nearer end of the eye.

“Come on, let’s try the Ghost Eye in fourth gear!”

A smile spread across Chen Lu’s deformed face, and he looked at Gan Xiong, about to end it all.

Gang Xiong quietly looked at Chen Lu, and the light emitted by Chen Lu’s Ghost Eyes slowly changed from black to black and red.

“It’s a savage man… he tried to snatch the dominance of Gayako with me.”

“But you miscalculated in the end…it wasn’t love that I locked up Gamecock with, it was hate.”

“The deeper she loves you, the deeper she hates me, and the deeper she hates me, the less she can get out of my grip.”

“Pfft.”

This was the body that pierced through the flesh.

Chen Lu lowered his head incredulously and looked at the fury white hand that pierced into his body.

He looked back, only to see the eyes with blood and tears.
