Chapter 20

"OPPA, Tae-yeon can't sleep well every night!"

"OPPA, Tae-yeon cried again today for some reason!"

"OPPA..."

After their last meeting, Park Ji-hoon often received text messages from Yoo-ri, informing him of Tae-yeon's condition and trying to get him to comfort her. Reading these messages had become a habit for him, but he never replied to them.

And Krystal often sent messages to comfort and encourage him, acting like a little adult, which made him feel both amused and bitter.

Before they knew it, January 11th arrived, and it was around 9 PM.

Tae-yeon, Tiffany, and Suh-yeon were on their way to MBC TV for a taping. Inside the limousine, a camera was installed, and both Tae-yeon and Tiffany were curious, but their manager refused to explain.

Since that was the case, the two of them simply ignored it and focused on eating snacks and resting.

"Unnie, I'm 20 now, do you have any expectations for me?" Suh-yeon, the maknae of Girls' Generation, born in 1991, suddenly turned her head to look at the two seniors and asked, "Do you hope I change in any way, or do something or not do something?" She spoke clearly and in detail, as was her usual style. In the past, she had even been teased by Park Ji-hoon for this, and she didn't speak to him for a whole month until he apologized.

That was the first time she had been angry.

"You should find your ideal type," Tiffany said immediately. Their maknae did have an ideal type, but could it really be considered one? The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon!

"Um—" Suh-yeon nodded, then turned her head away somewhat awkwardly, rubbing her knees. After making up her mind, she turned back and said, "Then, what if I really have a boyfriend?"

"Ha ha..." Tiffany glanced at her and couldn't help but laugh. Whenever they talked about men in the dorm, this little one would run away. Now she was actually bringing up the topic of men, which felt quite strange.

Tae-yeon also looked at the little one curiously. Was she trying to provoke her?

"Unnie, I have a boyfriend!" Suh-yeon said in one breath.

"What?" Tiffany blinked.

"Ha!" Tae-yeon grinned strangely.

Clearly, they didn't believe her.

"Really! I really have a boyfriend!" Suh-yeon said seriously.

"Does your mom know?" Tae-yeon asked, her first question.

"Not yet, I'm telling the unnie's first," Suh-yeon said, her face tinged with a light blush.

Tae-yeon and Tiffany finally looked at the little one more seriously.

"It's not that... I'm getting married!" Suh-yeon, unusually, spoke in a jumbled manner, adding, "Really!" for emphasis, fearing they wouldn't believe her.

"You were reading manga last night!" Tae-yeon said without questioning her, but with a light tone.

"It's true!" Suh-yeon lightly patted Tae-yeon's leg, somewhat frustrated.

"Are you on some show?" Tae-yeon suddenly realized.

"Um!" Suh-yeon nodded, finally understanding why it was so hard to play along when it was her turn.

"Really?"

"Really?"

"Ha—" Tae-yeon, after repeatedly confirming, made an ambiguous expression. With the camera around, she tried not to think about her own issues.

"I'm starting to worry about your husband!" Tiffany also laughed strangely.

Given the maknae's personality, they hoped the other person wouldn't go crazy!

"Unnie, the first meeting will be awkward, what should I do?" Suh-yeon took out her diary and asked the two for advice. She was ten times more nervous than her first debut performance!

Men were a very unfamiliar presence to her.

"Eye contact!" Tae-yeon said playfully.

"Unnie!" Suh-yeon called out, somewhat dissatisfied.

Tiffany also lightly patted Tae-yeon, somewhat helplessly—she always did this, but it made her even more endearing—and said to Suh-yeon, "Show him your true self at home! Why? Because it's married life..."

She really looked like a big sister!

"Then, how do I know his personality?" Suh-yeon wrote it down and asked again.

"Watch his table manners!" Tiffany said.

"Ah—right!" Suh-yeon clapped her hands.

"When you talk, pay attention to his eyes..." Tiffany finished and asked, "When will you meet?"

"Later!" Suh-yeon, who was taking notes, looked up and said, "After this taping!"

"At this time?" Tae-yeon and Tiffany both showed dissatisfaction.

"He's not considerate at all!" Tae-yeon said, using a senior's tone because he was her "brother-in-law."

"Make sure to tell us your first impression!" Tiffany said excitedly, "If you're satisfied, say your favorite sweet potato!"

"If you're not satisfied, say hamburger!" Tae-yeon added.

They were really curious about the maknae's new married life! It was hard to imagine how she would live with her pretend husband.

More than an hour passed quickly.

"Thank you, seniors! It was hard work." After the radio show, the three thanked the staff and prepared to leave.

As soon as they left the room, Suh-yeon couldn't help but exclaim, "So nervous!" She lifted her hands to show her sisters, and they were shaking!

"Don't worry. If he's a gentleman, he won't make you feel burdened!" Tiffany comforted her.

"I just hope your husband isn't an uncle!" Tae-yeon said indignantly.

"Ah!" Suh-yeon exclaimed, somewhat worried. Although she didn't place much importance on appearance, the living example of "Jung Hoon-dam" made her really dislike the "uncle" role.

As they talked, they arrived at the first-floor lobby of MBC TV.

"What should we do? Should we leave directly?" Tiffany asked, "Or wait together?"

"Ah! Right." Tae-yeon clapped her hands, "We'll wait together to see if he can guess! If he gets it wrong..."

"Forget it!" Tiffany lightly pushed her away, "Me and Suh-yeon."

Tae-yeon's expression stiffened for a moment, then quickly returned to normal.

"The manager OPPA is so biased, why only Suh-yeon is allowed to participate? I want to appear on 'We Got Married' too!" Tiffany grumbled.

"Forget it!" Tae-yeon mimicked the manager's tone.

"Hello, I'm Suh-yeon, nice to meet you..." At that moment, a voice introducing herself suddenly sounded in their ears. Turning their heads, they saw Suh-yeon standing stiffly, like a zombie, "practicing"! Especially funny was how her arms were slightly raised, and her wrists hung limply, like a clumsy raccoon.

"Ha ha!" Tiffany couldn't help but laugh at the little one's cute appearance.

"Ah—" Suh-yeon tilted her head in frustration, clearly mimicking Tae-yeon's playful gesture earlier, showing signs of nervousness.

"He's here!" Tae-yeon suddenly noticed a limousine parked outside and a figure getting out.

Instantly, Suh-yeon turned into a "waiting stone."

Unfortunately, it was Super Junior's Sungmin who entered.

"Ah! Sungmin OPPA, hello." The three quickly bowed in greeting.

Sungmin looked curiously at the 'We Got Married' staff in the corner, then at the three girls, bowed slightly, and hurried upstairs.

"Phew—" Suh-yeon finally exhaled a long breath. However, her mood became even more tense, and she couldn't help but think, "It would have been better if it was Sungmin senior!"

"Relax, relax!" Tiffany patted her shoulder, "Where's your strong heart? It's just meeting a man, not really getting married!"

"But I'm nervous!" Suh-yeon said softly.

At that moment, the door opened again, and Kim Shin-young entered.

Suh-yeon was startled again.

"What are you doing here?" Kim Shin-young, who was very close to the Girls' Generation members, asked curiously as they greeted him.

"Waiting for Suh-yeon's 'husband'!" Tiffany said.

"Could it be..." Kim Shin-young immediately understood and laughed, clapping his hands, "Who's the guy?"

"We don't know yet!" Suh-yeon said, slightly resentful. It had already been 5 minutes past the agreed time!

"Ah—" Kim Shin-young sighed, clasping his hands together, "Let's pray for him!" He knew this little one's personality well.

"Unnie!" Suh-yeon called out, somewhat dissatisfied.

"Right!" Tiffany, who had said the same thing in the car, seemed to have found a kindred spirit and said excitedly.

On the other side.

After finishing the day's shooting, Park Ji-hoon realized it was already too late and hurriedly asked the staff to drive him to the MBC TV building—today was the day to shoot 'We Got Married.'

Although he said he didn't care to Park Min-ah, he actually had a small expectation for the girl—of course, he hoped she would be beautiful and have a good personality, which was a common human desire.

Because he was already late, he didn't even have time to change into the clothes Park Min-ah had prepared for him. He left directly in the movie costume, wearing a red down jacket over it.

He needed to comb his messy hair, remove the fake beard—attached to fit the "uncle" image in the drama; clean the dust from his body—shooting took place in a dirty, cramped area; and cover the bloodshot eyes...

The meeting place was the first-floor lobby of MBC TV, as the girl had just finished her taping.

Noticing the car slowing down, he opened his eyes just in time to see the MBC TV sign.

"Thank you, I'm sorry to trouble you." After thanking the driver, he got out of the car.

Just before entering, Park Ji-hoon paused for a moment, involuntarily thinking of Tae-yeon's face—not out of a desire for revenge, but a slight pain in his heart. He wondered what her reaction would be when she heard the news.

The thought quickly passed.

He took another step forward.

"He's here, he's here! This time it should be him, right?" In the lobby, Tae-yeon, Tiffany, and Suh-yeon could vaguely see the figure outside the glass door, but it was too blurry.

"Height is good!" Tiffany said, estimating the height to be over 180 cm, including the shoes.

"Figure is good too!" Tae-yeon also hid behind the bar and whispered, "Looks like a charming man!" For some reason, she felt a sense of goodwill just from the blurry figure.

Suh-yeon's body stiffened again, muttering, "What to do, what to do..."

The door was pushed open.
