Cerebremancer (奥灵师)

A Cerebremancer possesses both arcane and psionic powers. They are typically optimistic, ambitious, and willing to sacrifice other potential abilities for pure power.

Only characters who have been trained in both arcane and psionic abilities can become Cerebremancers. The most common combination is a Wizard/Psion, as both require a high Intelligence score. Sorcerer/Psions are relatively rare, and Psychic Warriors usually prefer combat over study, while Wilders lack the necessary patience.

Non-player Cerebremancers often serve as a bridge between the arcane and psionic worlds. Many Cerebremancers seek out more obscure knowledge to enhance their mastery of magic and psionic abilities.

Class Features:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Cerebremancer gains no proficiency with any new weapons or armor.

Spells/Known Powers: When a Cerebremancer gains a level, they gain new daily spell slots as if their level in a previous arcane spellcasting class had increased. They also gain new daily power points and known powers as if their level in a previous psionic class had increased. However, they do not gain any other features of their previous classes (such as metamagic, metapsionic, or item creation feats, or special abilities of psicrystals). In other words, the Cerebremancer's level is added to their previous arcane spellcasting level and psionic manifesting level to determine daily spell slots, known powers, and manifesting level.

For example, a 3rd-level Wizard/3rd-level Psion who chooses to advance as a Cerebremancer would cast spells as a 4th-level Wizard and manifest powers as a 4th-level Psion, but their familiar and psicrystal (if any) would not gain new abilities.

If a character has multiple arcane spellcasting classes or multiple psionic classes before advancing as a Cerebremancer, they must choose which class to add their Cerebremancer levels to for the purpose of determining daily spell slots, caster level, daily power points, known powers, and manifesting level.
