Chapter 1

My roommate was the legendary school’s heartthrob. He was one of those who born with a Mary Sue aura, who had everyone screaming for him wherever he goes.

In high school, I was unfortunate to be in the same class with him and even more disheartening to be his tablemate. The gifts and love letters that the girls gave to him filled his desk, and some of them were all around my desk too.

He was a huge nuisance, so I hated him a lot. He also had a very stupid nickname, “The Iceberg Prince” which gave me a goosebump that could circle the earth three times.

I felt something was wrong when I bumped into him on campus at the beginning of college. I almost blacked out the moment I saw him in my dormitory.

But no matter how unacceptable it was, I still had to finish school. He was the youngest in our dormitory, but everyone called him “Lao Da” because following him will get girls’ attention as a lot of girls continuously surrounded him, and many of them bought him food too.

I’m the only one who scoffs at this. I’m not jealous of his looks or his popularity. I just believed that talent was the only ladder of progress in life. What can a good look do? Can you use it as a credit card? Can you win a scholarship? Can you get first place in your class?

I unconsciously ridiculed.

A round and broad bald head on the upper bunk popped up, with a look of awkwardness, “Lao San, you really can use your face as a credit card………”

Right, everywhere the heartthrob goes, there are people who want to give him a free bill.

“And can also win a scholarship…..”

Oh, the heartthrob won the first-class scholarship last semester.

“And can also get first place….”

”

”

Enough.

F*ck.
