Chapter 3

After figuring out that the heartthrob was plotting against me, I searched many similar cases on the Internet. The more I read it, the more thrilling it was. There’s knifing, mutilating, poisoning, hidden needles……

This didn’t seem like something the heartthrob would do. So to warn him that I’m already aware of his little schemes, I went downstairs and bought a pound of his most hated mangoes and threw two mangoes at him.

The heartthrob took the mangoes with complicated eyes. I returned to my space and sat down contentedly, ready to write my thesis.

Who knew that the heartthrob actually ate all the mangoes. Who knew that this fellow was actually allergic to mangoes.

I didn’t even realize it when he started throwing up in the evening. Lao Er and Lao Si went out, and when he finished throwing up, he weakly collapsed on top of me.

He hugged my shoulder and whispered, “I think I’m allergic to mangoes…..”

Since he was talking so close to me, his hot breath fanned across my ear. It made me quiver because it’s ticklish, and I was even more quivered by his words. For a moment, countless cases of death caused by allergies flashed through my mind. I swear, then picked him up and ran downstairs.

On the way to the hospital by taxi, the heartthrob wrapped his arms around my neck and kept smiling the whole ride heartlessly.

My guilt was mixed with complicated feelings of wanting to strangle him to death.
