I nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, let's park the car here."

"What's that?" Huang Yiyi suddenly pointed to the left side where we had parked. In the darkness, illuminated by our car lights, we saw a red SUV.

Qin Luye took a flashlight from her bag, rolled down the car window, and shone it at the car.

"It's a red car!" Qin Luye exclaimed in surprise.

"Who is Hong Hong?"

"Hong Hong is the female streamer who went missing here a week ago. She recorded her car during her live stream, so I recognized it right away."

It seemed that Qin Luye was a loyal fan of Hong Hong.

So it's her car!

I opened the car door and walked directly towards the red SUV. The car door was locked. I raised my hand to touch the car body, using my mind to sense if anyone or any body was inside.

There was no sign of life or death; the car was empty, with no one and no body inside!

If nothing unexpected happened, the female streamer was likely in trouble. If nothing had happened, her car wouldn't be parked here with no one around.

"How is it? Is anyone inside?" Seeing that I had returned, Huang Yiyi and Qin Luye both got out of the car.

I shook my head. "No, she must have gone inside."

"Inside?" Qin Luye suddenly swallowed hard. "Why do I feel like this car was the one chasing us just now?"

"Did you see it?"

"No!" Qin Luye shook her head. "Just a feeling!"

"It's fine." I stared at the car for two seconds and asked, "Luye, how long will it take to get to the village from here?"

Qin Luye thought for a moment and said, "About fifteen minutes, I heard it's not far! But I've never been inside because it's a restricted area."

"Li Yao, are you going in?" Huang Yiyi asked, worried.

I nodded firmly. "Yes, I just figured out the soul of that female ghost is inside. You two wait here, I'll go check it out."

"Li Yao!" Just as I was about to leave, Huang Yiyi held me back.

"I want to go with you! I'm scared here."

"I'm scared too, Mr. Li, we'll go with you!" Qin Luye quickly chimed in.

Now, I was their main support. If I left, they would be terrified. However, I couldn't let them come with me; that place was truly a den of tigers and dragons!

"No!" I glanced at the area, where the yin energy was almost reaching the sky. I looked back at the village, which was very peaceful. They were both women, and if they went in, who knew what might happen.

"There's no yin energy in the village now, but it's very heavy inside! You can't go in. I'll go check the situation first, and you two wait here."

"But..." Huang Yiyi opened her mouth, looking aggrieved. "I, I'm scared. What if that female ghost appears again when you're not around?"

I thought for a moment and said, "Get in the car! To the back seat, I'll draw a protective talisman for you."

"What about me?" Qin Luye asked urgently.

"You come in too." We all got back into the car.

"Turn your back to me, lift your shirt, and Luye, shine the flashlight on her." I instructed.

Huang Yiyi's eyes flickered for a moment, but she finally bit her lip and pulled up her shirt. Inside, there was a strap from her chest to her back.

I pointed at the strap and asked, "Can you undo this?"

Huang Yiyi nodded and undid the strap. The light from the flashlight revealed her smooth, white back, which made me swallow hard. If we weren't in such a situation, I might have lost control.

What am I thinking? I quickly shook off those extra thoughts, bit my middle finger until it bled, and quickly recited, "Heaven protects, Earth protects, the twelve celestial deities protect you, the eight Vajras guard your soul, ... as the law commands!"

Then, I drew a protective talisman on her smooth back with my blood. This kind of talisman was much more effective than a paper talisman.

As I patted her back, Huang Yiyi let out a cry that made my face turn red.

"Done, are you okay?"

Huang Yiyi shook her head and put her clothes back on.

Then she took the flashlight from Qin Luye, who hesitated for a moment before pulling up her shirt and turning her back to me.

Qin Luye's skin was also smooth and white, but it seemed different from Huang Yiyi's, as if something was missing.

Seeing that I hadn't started drawing yet, Qin Luye shyly urged, "Mr. Li, hurry up! Don't just look. I didn't wear it because the strap was too tight."

I suddenly understood. "Sorry, I... Heaven protects, Earth protects, ..."

After drawing the talismans for both of them, I said, "With the talismans, stay in the car and don't go out! I'll put talismans on the outside of the car too, so you'll be safe."

"Yiyi, don't forget why we came here. We've already come this far, you need to be strong and face this terrible environment. I know it's hard to accept, but you must be strong."

I gave her an encouraging look, and she nodded firmly. "Yes, I'll be strong, don't worry, Li Yao."

I turned around with relief, but just as I did,

"Li Yao!"

I turned back, and Huang Yiyi said with concern, "Be careful, I'll wait for you to come back."

"Okay!"

I jogged down the path, heading into the area filled with yin energy. I put the invisibility talisman I had prepared on my body, hoping it would help me avoid the ghosts' "eyes."

To be honest, I was quite nervous; it was my first time facing such a situation. But as I told Huang Yiyi, we had already come this far, and there was no reason to back down now. Song Liuyan had suffered for hundreds of years, and the spirits here had been enslaved for centuries, not even qualifying as wandering ghosts.

If I hadn't encountered them, I might not have gotten involved, but now that I had, how could I stand by and do nothing? I thought that if my grandfather were still here, he would have done this without hesitation.

Fifteen minutes later, I passed through the overgrown grass and came to a smooth, open area.

The smooth ground was dotted with faint lights, like dim fireflies. But they weren't fireflies; they were the glow of spirit bones. Since they weren't buried in coffins, they couldn't produce ghost fire, so they could only emit their spirit bones at night to show their existence.

Without the glow of these spirit bones, who would know they still existed in this world?

There were too many lights, and I couldn't tell how many wandering spirits were here.

I walked slowly over. The grass didn't grow here because the yin energy was too strong.

The yin energy covered the entire area, and the yin energy that had just drifted over was immediately pushed up into the sky by the yin energy.

This was the "yin energy reaching the sky" that my grandfather had once told me about.
