Stepping back with his left foot and leaning his upper body backward, Tang Dun calmly watched as the greasy palm of the clerk swiped past his nose, the airflow from the movement ruffling his black hair.

This slap was powerful; if it had hit, Tang Dun's gums would have been loosened.

The postmen, though keeping their heads down, all glanced at the situation from the corners of their eyes. Seeing Tang Dun actually dodge, they were so shocked that their eyes almost popped out. Was he not wanting this job anymore?

The clerk had a very cruel nature, always finding excuses to hit people, but the postmen could only endure it and dared not dodge. If they did, he would find trouble for them every other day, tormenting them until they could no longer bear it and quit, at which point they wouldn't even get their monthly salary.

In front of his subordinates, the missed slap made Baolmer feel his prestige plummet. His fat face immediately turned ashen, and he took a step forward, lifting his leg to kick Tang Dun's stomach.

Like a nimble cat, Tang Dun sidestepped, evading the powerful kick.

Baolmer wouldn't let it go, waving his large hand to grab Tang Dun's hair. The intense movement made his large belly judder.

*Snap*, a copper button on his shirt popped off, revealing a ring of fat.

In just a few seconds, Baolmer was too exhausted to chase anymore. He leaned on his thighs, panting heavily, resembling a comical fat pig, but no one dared to laugh.

"You insolently defy your superior, I will fire you!" Baolmer glared at Tang Dun, roaring as if only this could restore some of his dignity.

"Sir, it's all my fault, please calm down, Tang Dun didn't mean to offend you!"

Seeing Tang Dun speak up for him, Will was moved to tears, enduring the pain and running to Baolmer to support him.

"Get lost!" Baolmer finally found a vent for his anger, grabbing Will's hair and slapping him across the face.

*Slap*, *slap*, the crisp sound of the slaps filled the post office hall. The postmen, seeing Will's swollen face, were as silent as cicadas in winter, deeply fearing they might be implicated.

Tang Dun knew he was being targeted. Even if he escaped this time, more trouble would be waiting. After all, Baolmer was his direct superior, and if he was determined to get rid of you, he had countless ways to do so.

"Calm down!" Tang Dun wanted to quit and be done with it, but thinking of his sister's tuition, he held back. "If I just walk away, won't it make him even more arrogant?"

"Enough, let him go!" Tang Dun took a deep breath, calmed himself, and then shouted loudly.

The clerk was instantly startled, never dreaming that a mere postman would dare to shout at him.

"Quick, calm down and think of a solution!" Facing Baolmer's furious gaze, Tang Dun's mind raced. He knew that if he couldn't find an excuse, he would face a storm of blows.

"What are you waiting for? Break this bastard's legs!" Baolmer turned and roared at the postmen in the hall. He wasn't so stupid as to not know how to use his position to pressure others.

The postmen looked at each other, hesitant to move forward. Tang Dun had good relations with them, making it hard for them to act, but they couldn't disobey their superior's orders.

"Let's do it, this is a good opportunity to show loyalty to the clerk. If I can get on his good side, I might get a promotion!" Matt's eyes flickered, calculating the risks and benefits. But just as he took a step forward, he saw Tang Dun's gaze and froze. After all, Tang Dun was the most senior postman in the office and had helped him before.

"I have no choice. I reported Duran, so I have no way back!" Cold sweat trickled down Matt's forehead, but seeing the clerk's figure, he made up his mind.

"Tang Dun, what is your status? How dare you defy a superior? Get down and apologize!" Matt, cunning, shouted at his colleagues, "Act, don't let him run wild in the post office."

With someone leading the way, ten postmen who had a neutral relationship with Tang Dun immediately stepped forward, rushing at him. This was an opportunity to show loyalty to the clerk, and if they didn't act, they would surely be in trouble later.

Without reaching the Soul Stage and activating his talent, Tang Dun was no match for ten postmen. The clerk seemed to already see him being beaten to a pulp and smirked.

"What a pity, such a capable person. If you weren't a confidant of the previous clerk, I would have appreciated you!" Baolmer acknowledged Tang Dun's abilities but thought he was too disrespectful. In the two months since he took office, Tang Dun had never shown respect or flattery, so who else would he target?

Seeing the tide turning, two more postmen rushed forward.

"Ha ha, bastard, see? This is the charm of power!"

The clerk sneered, enjoying the feeling of giving orders. But when he saw the calm expression on Tang Dun's handsome face, his pleasure diminished, and he couldn't help but curse, "Smash his face!"

"Stop, I am Melissa's man. If you want to die, try touching me!"

Despite being in a crisis, Tang Dun's pride kept him from fleeing the post office. A flash of inspiration made him shout.

"Wait!" The clerk was startled, stopping his subordinates and asking in disbelief, "What did you say?"

"I serve Melissa!"

Baolmer was a lecherous man, often harassing female employees in the post office, but he had never seen him flirt with Melissa.

His current attitude confirmed Tang Dun's judgment. Regardless of who Melissa was, as long as Baolmer feared her, it was enough.

"Are you lying to me?" Baolmer's face was unpredictable, staring at Tang Dun. As a minor official, he wouldn't be fooled by a civilian's words.

"You can verify it!" Tang Dun maintained a calm demeanor, but inside, he was anxious. As soon as Melissa came to the post office the next day, his lie would be exposed.

The clerk, of course, didn't think Tang Dun was Melissa's lover, at most a master-servant relationship, but it was still troublesome.

When he first arrived at the post office in Misty Dawn Town two months ago, seeing Melissa, Baolmer had wanted to take her to bed.

This woman exuded a lazy charm, more beautiful than the courtesans in the imperial capital's high society, making people drool.

Baolmer had heard rumors that she was a baron's mistress but didn't care. A woman without support would inevitably use some means to ensure her safety.

On a rainy afternoon, Baolmer called Melissa into his office, ready to make his move. But before he could touch her plump buttocks, he was slapped in the face with a letter.

After reading the content, Baolmer was drenched in sweat, changed the subject, and never dared to think about her again.

"Bastard, let you be smug for a few more days." Baolmer grabbed a letter from the desk and threw it at Tang Dun, threatening, "Do you think I can't deal with you just because Melissa backs you?"

The postmen didn't know why the clerk changed his mind, but Tang Dun was clearly staying, so their faces changed. After all, this meant a complete falling out with him. Thinking of the nickname "Fox of the West," they shivered, knowing their future would be difficult.

"I'll wait and see!" Tang Dun organized the letters, glanced at the hall where he had worked for three years, and sighed inwardly, though he didn't show it.

The lie would be exposed tomorrow, and he would never be able to return.

"Commoner is a commoner, no manners at all. I heard your sister is a student at St. George's Magic Academy? Ha, how could a commoner bastard possibly get into such a prestigious school?" Seeing Tang Dun's calmness, Baolmer was furious and couldn't resist taunting, "She must be a prostitute, not seeing a hundred men a day, she couldn't afford the tuition!"

"Trouble!" The postmen instinctively looked at Tang Dun. They all knew Elaine was his treasure, and Baolmer's words were like poking a hornet's nest.

"You're asking for it!" Tang Dun's expression turned fierce, like a hurricane sweeping across the land, rushing at Baolmer.

"Stop him!"

Seeing Tang Dun's sharp gaze, Baolmer's hair stood on end, and he instinctively stepped back, his voice trembling.

It was too late. Tang Dun leaned forward, his right foot pushing off the ground, and pounced on Baolmer like a cannonball. Then, with a powerful thrust from his knees, his back stretched like a large bow, and his right fist shot out like an arrow, striking the clerk's chin hard.

*Bang*, Baolmer's head snapped back, and he spat out a mouthful of blood, a few bloody teeth falling to the floor.

Tang Dun pulled back his right arm and punched again, hitting the clerk's face repeatedly. *Crack*, he broke the clerk's nose, blood gushing out like a fountain, soaking his chest.

A few friendly postmen rushed forward and held Tang Dun back.

"Stop, you'll kill him, and then you'll go to jail!" Will hugged his waist, relieved that he hadn't reached the Soul Stage, or Baolmer would have been dead in one punch.

*Thud*, Baolmer, like a mountain of flesh, fell to the floor.

"You're dead, I swear, I'll sell your sister to the lowest brothel, where sweaty slaves will rape her every day!" Baolmer, in pain, his limbs twitching, glared at Tang Dun with hatred, vowing to tear him to pieces.

"I'll wait!" Tang Dun licked the blood from his fist, spat it out, and left the post office without looking back.

The postmen looked at the chaotic hall, silent, all shocked by Tang Dun's outburst. They suddenly realized that falling out with this guy might have been the worst decision.

Standing on the long street of Misty Dawn Town, Tang Dun looked up, letting the rain wash his face, gradually calming down.

"Just a new clerk in a border town, with no established connections, how much power can he have? At most, he'll hire some bloodthirsty mercenaries with a few gold coins to cause me trouble!" Tang Dun walked slowly, holding his cloak, thinking about the actions Baolmer might take.

The border of Redwood County was next to the Dragon Hills and the Sunset Wasteland, both notorious for producing bandits. With a negligent border commander, the area was in chaos.

In such a lawless place, ogres and orcs who would kill in broad daylight for a silver coin were common. The constraints of imperial law? Could it fill their stomachs? Even the dim-witted ogre children knew how to choose between starving to death and being hanged after committing a crime!

"Still short of money, otherwise, I could have reached the Soul Stage in a month." Tang Dun touched his money bag, unwilling to use the saved tuition, but the amount of mana needed for advancement was enormous, and relying on natural absorption would take at least half a year.

"Ten thousand gold reward?" Passing the Golden Ivory Tavern, Tang Dun saw a wanted poster on the bulletin board. The bright gold coin symbol severely stimulated his eyes.
