As Hugo transformed back into the appearance of an adult black man and left in a taxi with a victorious air, Hood and Veneto walked shoulder to shoulder back to the street in front of the museum. They then easily found a London tourist map at this famous tourist spot in central London.
"It seems that the center of London hasn't changed much." Hood, looking at the tourist map, quickly compared it with the map of London in her mind and said, "If that's the case, I think there's a place where we can show our skills and earn some money."
"Let you decide our target. This is my first time in London," Veneto shrugged. "Anyway, once we get there, I'll just handle the fighting. But I hope you'll listen to me once the real action starts. After all, I have much more experience dealing with those scum who can hardly be called human, Miss Hood."
"Don't call me 'Miss' in that sarcastic tone. This time, I'll show you the qualities of a British soldier." As representatives of warships from different countries, they actually had some internal competition. This mission was seen by the two warships as a stage for the British and Italian warships to compete.
"I'll be watching." Veneto then took out a scooter from her ship equipment space, got on it, and tilted her head to signal Hood, "Get on. You sit behind me and give me directions."
"Where did you get this scooter?" Hood looked at the scooter Veneto had taken out of her ship equipment space in shock. "Isn't this South Dakota's scooter? How did it end up in your hands?"
"I borrowed it from South Dakota in the harbor earlier," Veneto replied simply, then looked at Hood standing there. "This isn't the time to think about that. Get on quickly. We'd better move fast; this kind of activity isn't suitable for daytime."
"What about the cameras?" After both of them got on the scooter and started it, Hood leaned close to Veneto's ear and asked, "The knowledge in my mind tells me that humans today install many cameras in their cities for security. If we're caught on camera, it might cause trouble for the Commander."
"Don't worry." Veneto's lips curled into a slight smile. "First, the density of cameras in this era is nothing compared to when the Commander came. We can easily avoid them. Second, the resolution of cameras in this era is very questionable, making it hard to recognize our faces."
"And lastly, the main area we'll be operating in, as you said, is a very chaotic district. Based on my experience in Sicily, those people who dare to cause trouble in such places will definitely try to shield themselves from outside eyes. In our time, we would eliminate informants and gendarmes who dared to come in, and in this era, they would likely smash the cameras."
"Alright, you make a good point." After thinking for a moment, Hood had to admit that Veneto's analysis was correct. She then took out helmets and gas masks from her ship equipment space and put them on herself and Veneto. Although she also felt that the cameras of this era weren't that scary based on Veneto's analysis, it was better to be prepared.
"Help—!" Just as the two of them were riding the scooter to a street near Whitechapel, a strange-sounding English cry for help suddenly came from a dark alley nearby. However, the cry was cut off halfway, as if someone had covered the mouth.
"Let's check it out." As warships, Hood and Veneto would definitely not ignore the cries of the innocent. Especially in this lawless area of the city, where lawless thugs like Zhang San could be found anywhere. So the two of them immediately rode the scooter toward the alley where the cry had come from.
When they reached the entrance of the alley, a few young illegal immigrants who looked like thugs were standing there, leaning against the walls. Behind them, two thugs were pinning down a young woman who appeared to be a tourist, attempting to commit heinous acts.
"Who are you?" Seeing two people in old gas masks and military helmets get off the scooter, a thug leaning against the wall walked over, flicking a butterfly knife in his hand. "This is our territory. You outsiders had better stay out of it."
However, when he reached the entrance of the alley where the streetlights shone, he quickly realized that the two people standing there were women, and his mouth immediately became dirty: "Ha, two willing ones—"
Bang... Before the thug could finish his sentence, Hood punched him in the face, and he immediately fell backward. If someone had taken an X-ray of him at that moment, they would have seen that his facial bones were completely shattered, as if someone had hammered a blacksmith's hammer into his face.
Seeing this, the other thugs immediately backed away, realizing they had provoked the wrong people. However, it was clear that they had no chance of escaping from the hands of the warships. Within just two minutes, all the thugs were lying on the street with broken legs.
"Tell me what bad things you've done and give up your boss and hideout." Veneto held a spare machine gun barrel in her right hand and lightly tapped it against her left hand. The thugs on the ground all looked at the gun barrel in her hand with fear.
In their memory, this small girl had just used this hollow iron tube to break everyone's legs, as easily as a normal person breaking a thumb cookie.
"Let's start with you. What bad things have you done?" After circling the group of thugs, Veneto stopped in front of the first one on the left and asked, "Answer truthfully; I can tell if you're lying."
"I've only robbed people," the thug said in a pitiful tone, his eyes darting, "I'm very poor and haven't received a good education, so I had no choice but to do this, uh—"
Before the thug could finish, Veneto reached out, grabbed him by the neck, and lifted him up, then tightened her fingers. With a crack, he immediately fell into eternal darkness, his neck in excruciating pain.
"What did you notice just now?" Hood, who was comforting the victim, immediately sensed that Veneto had killed the thug and asked, "Or what did this guy do?"
"He didn't mention that he killed an old man to rob a wallet when he first came to this country, nor did he mention the multiple robberies and rapes he committed after coming here." As a warship, reading the thoughts of ordinary people was not difficult. Facing such a ruthless killer, Veneto felt there was no need to keep them alive to waste food.
"Alright, you did well." Hood nodded and then turned back to comfort the victim, but this time, she led the victim away from the alley entrance. Fortunately, because the place was dark and the victim was facing away from the interrogation scene, she didn't see what happened, saving Hood a lot of trouble.
