Chapter 1

In a remote farm in Dorset, an elderly man with a full head of white hair but still relatively robust, was chatting idly with his wife, who was leisurely drinking afternoon tea, with a worried look on his face.
"Rolf is about to turn ten, but he hasn’t had a magical outburst yet. Could it be that he’s destined to never learn magic?"
At this moment, the sun was high in the sky, and the animals had all taken shelter in the sheds their owner had built for them.
Only a giant red lizard lay lazily in the midday sun, seemingly enjoying the scorching heat.
If it weren’t for the pair of conspicuous wings on its back, it might not have attracted anyone’s attention, except for its enormous size.
"Don’t worry, Newt. Even if Rolf can’t learn magic, he’ll still do well. After all, smart people can make it anywhere!" His wife put down her teacup, stood up, and walked to her husband’s side to comfort him.
Newt Scamander, an outstanding magical zoologist, dedicated his life to the protection of magical creatures.
He founded the Werewolf Registry, although not many werewolves chose to register there...
Scamander’s research on fire dragons was extremely thorough, and he once worked for the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau.
The fire dragon on the farm was one he had applied to raise, and he had even asked his extremely disliked brother, Theseus Scamander, for help.
This was because Theseus always gave Newt a condescending feeling, as if he owed him something.
Of course, his brother was indeed very powerful, known as a hero and respected by the International Confederation of Wizards.
Although his brother was very protective of him, Newt just didn’t like him.
Of course, due to his outstanding contributions to the field of magical creature protection, Newt was also awarded the Order of Merlin, Second Class, in 1979, a highly prestigious title in the magical world.
Now, Mr. Scamander has retired and lives in Dorset, England, with his wife Porpentina and their grandson Rolf.
Oh, and there are also three adorable kneazles, Hobey, Muriel, and Moler.
After hearing his wife’s words, Newt felt that his worries were somewhat excessive. With his grandson’s intelligence, perhaps he could really make a name for himself in the Muggle world?
Still, the thought that his only son’s grandson might not be able to practice magic made him somewhat sad.
"Tina, maybe becoming a magical zoologist would be a good choice?" Newt suggested, still somewhat hopeful.
"Are you kidding, Newt? Do you really want poor Rolf to mingle with dangerous magical creatures like you?" Tina pushed away her husband’s arm from her shoulder, angry.
The subject of their discussion, Mr. Rolf Scamander, was lying on his bed, utterly confused.
Rolf could be considered a loyal user of the orphanage. Not only was he an orphan in his previous life on Earth, but he was also forced to become an orphan again after being reborn.
In his previous life, Rolf, then known as Rol, lived a modest life, but with the help of the state, he managed to support himself.
Through various policies such as student loans, he even completed his university education smoothly.
Just as he was about to start his corporate life and repay the state for its years of support, he was transported to another world.
The reason for his transportation... was a bit embarrassing. He was transported while cooking instant noodles.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself as a baby, with a pair of blonde, blue-eyed white parents babbling in English.
Although Rol’s English was at a professional level in his home country, the rapid speech of the two made it hard for him to follow.
Of course, none of this mattered because his parents were soon killed in the First Wizarding War in Britain.
Rolf was then taken in by his grandfather, Newt Scamander, and raised on the farm in Dorset. He learned about his parents’ death from his grandfather by chance.
But Rolf thought he had misunderstood and didn’t take the term "wizard" seriously, only believing that his parents had died in a war.
Newt, who strictly adhered to the policy of late marriage and late childbearing, was almost 83 years old when he adopted Rolf.
He thought he would inherit his grandfather’s farm, but to his surprise, his grandparents were still robust at 93.
It’s worth noting that while the magical world hasn’t found a way to achieve immortality, there are many methods to extend life.
After Rolf became familiar with his surroundings and read a large number of books in his grandfather’s study, he confirmed that he had been transported to the world of Harry Potter.
And his grandfather was none other than the author of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," Newt Scamander.
He thought that being transported to the world of Harry Potter would mean he could become a wizard, but from the worried looks of his grandparents, he realized he might be a Squib.
He was already ten years old and had not experienced the magical outburst that all young wizards go through.
In another year, Hogwarts would start sending letters to young wizards of his age. If he didn’t awaken his magical powers, he might only be a regular person in this wizarding world.
Although he always consoled himself that being a regular person was fine, at least he wouldn’t have to live under the threat of Voldemort.
But he was still very disappointed. After all, compared to being able to perform magic, the life of a Wall Street financier, a regular person, didn’t seem very appealing.
But just now, while Rolf was reading about the history of the magical world in bed, his fate finally took a turn.
"Energy collection complete, system rebooting..."
Rolf thought he was hallucinating, and the voice was just a product of his desire to become a wizard.
But the mechanical voice that followed made Rolf realize that everything was real! His golden finger had finally arrived!
I knew it! How could I not have the golden finger that is a must for orphans in the transportation world!
Rolf’s gloomy mood vanished, and he put down the history book he was reading, eagerly waiting for the system to continue.
"Host bound, welcome to the Multiverse Trading System. This system aims to facilitate the exchange of resources between different worlds for mutual development. Congratulations, you are now an intern dimensional merchant."
Dimensional merchant? Facilitating the exchange of resources between different worlds? If the mechanical voice hadn’t stopped, Rolf would have thought the next line would be about building a community of shared future for mankind...
"Intern task: Complete three transactions and receive five-star reviews. Failure will result in the loss of your qualification as a dimensional merchant."
While Rolf was still lost in thought, the system’s voice continued, and a light screen appeared before him, proving that everything was real.
A rudimentary interface appeared out of nowhere, without even the standard system desktop of grass and sky. Bad review!
The interface had only four options: Trading Platform, Rating System, Friend System, and Task System.
The Task System was flashing, and Rolf’s OCD compelled him to open it. The system’s prompt was written there:
Intern task: Complete three transactions and receive five-star reviews (0/3)
Rolf opened the Trading System and saw only one button, which read "Start Matching."
If he hadn’t remembered that he had been transported, he would have thought he was in the King’s Canyon.
Despite his constant complaints, Rolf resolutely clicked the matching button. A light ring appeared around the button and kept flashing.
After the light ring rotated twice, it finally stopped, and the matching buyer appeared before Rolf:
"Hungry Wang Si will trade with you. The buyer will enter the chat room in three seconds. Please prepare."
Rolf, seeing the system’s prompt, felt a surge of excitement, sat up, and moved to his desk, pretending to be very professional.
But to Rolf’s disappointment, the chat room was just a chat room, allowing only voice and text messages. The video function was grayed out, indicating insufficient permissions...
Permissions are the worst! Rolf angrily let out a small chicken’s cry.
PS: I originally wanted to continue writing "Hogwarts Cultivation Record," but it kept getting rejected... So I had to modify the outline and start a new book. However, some settings are the same. Please support me!
