Finni walked in and found a goblin, saying,
"Hello, I need to take something from the Black family's vault."
The goblin looked at Finn carefully and asked after a moment,
"Do you have the key, sir?"
Finni took a key out of his pocket and handed it to the goblin, saying,
"Of course, here it is."
The goblin took the key, examined it carefully, and nodded, saying,
"Very well, please follow me."
With that, he led Finn and Klich into a door next to the hall. Opening the door, they saw a narrow stone passage lit by burning torches.
This was Finn's first time at Gringotts, after all, he was still young.
The passage in front of him extended steeply downward, with a long track on the ground.
Under the goblin's operation, they sat in a very simple cart.
The cart traveled along the track through the deep passage and then arrived at a huge underground cavern. On the walls of this cavern, there were many large doors.
However, none of these were the target of Finn and his group. Their destination was the lowest level of this underground vault.
The twenty-eight Sacred Families of the wizarding world each had their own family vault at the lowest level of this underground cavern, which was set up when Gringotts was established. In fact, many families had shares in Gringotts.
After a moment, the cart stopped in front of a large door. This door was made of an unknown metal, very tall and sturdy, and even powerful magic could not open it, of course, goblin magic could, since they built it.
On the door was a large engraving of a shield with a mountain symbol, two pentagrams, and a short sword, flanked by two leaping greyhounds, which was the Black family's coat of arms.
The goblin turned to Finn and said,
"Sir, please give me the key."
Finn handed over the key, and then watched as the goblin performed a series of complex operations to open the large door.
Inside the door was a huge underground vault.
Numerous Galleons were piled in the center of the vault.
The reason they were described as "discarded" was that compared to the other items around them, these Galleons were not placed with as much reverence.
Finn did not go directly to the Galleons but walked to a corner of the vault.
According to the family records, Finn had seen that there was a box here that had been enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm.
Sure enough, Finn found the box here. It was an ancient box with the Black family coat of arms on it.
It was not only a magical item but also an antique, and could even be considered a family heirloom.
This box was different from many other space-enlarging boxes on the market today.
According to legend, the famous magical zoologist Newt Scamander once had a similar magical box, which was created by all the Hufflepuff students and professors at Hogwarts.
The space inside that box was vast, divided into several areas for raising magical creatures.
Such a box was already a rare treasure, worth a fortune.
However, the box in front of Finn was even more valuable.
In fact, the space inside this box was much smaller than Newt's.
But it was more valuable.
A widely recognized fact in the magical world was that items enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm could not be placed inside other space-enlarging items.
For example, placing a wallet enchanted with the charm into a box also enchanted with it would result in both the wallet and the box being destroyed, and all the contents would fall out.
Some poorly made items could not even be enchanted with other spells, as it would cause instability. This was one of the reasons why the Ministry of Magic did not allow the private manufacture of such items.
The most valuable aspect of the box in front of Finn was that it could be placed inside other space-enlarging items without being destroyed or destroying the other item.
It could also be enchanted with other spells. For example, Finn could shrink it and put it in his pocket.
Moreover, the box had extremely strict secrecy spells, and only members of the Black family or those recognized by the Black family could use it.
Once it had an owner, even members of the Black family could not open its true space without the owner's permission.
"Alright, Klich, go get some Galleons, we're leaving."
Finn handed the box to Klich and gave the order casually. He had no specific idea about how many Galleons to take and did not really care.
The Black family was very wealthy. Saying they were the richest in the magical world might be an exaggeration, but they were certainly among the top few.
After bidding farewell to the goblin, Finn and Klich arrived at their final destination, Ollivanders Wand Shop.
In fact, Ollivanders Wand Shop looked nothing like its reputation. It was a very narrow and old shop.
The peeling golden letters on the door read: "Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C."
In the shop window, a single wand was displayed on a faded purple cushion. The shop was small, with only a long bench in the corner.
Pushing open the door, a sharp bell rang from somewhere. The first thing they saw was a tall, thin man with white hair and eyes that were slightly milky but still sharp, standing behind the counter and saying,
"Oh, hello, a young wizard. What can I do for you?"
Finn looked at the man and saw an old man with slightly milky but sharp eyes standing there, saying,
"Oh, please forgive me for not noticing the house-elf. So, you must be young Mr. Phineas Black? I assume you need a wand."
Finn nodded, not saying a word. He knew who the old man in front of him was, Garrick Ollivander, a member of the twenty-eight Pureblood families.
The Ollivander family was widely recognized as the best wandmakers in Britain and among the best in Europe. They had been in the wand business since 382 B.C. Although there were other wandmakers in Britain, most British wizards, including almost all the new students entering Hogwarts, bought their wands from Ollivander.
