"Lily Collins"

Murphy immediately remembered; this was the young actress Bill Rosi recommended to play James Franco's daughter. She was supposed to come for a rehearsal today, but why was there this strange sound without the lights on?

After identifying the voice as Lily Collins, Carey Mulligan gently patted her chest, her heart settling back down. However, she didn't release her grip on Murphy's arm; instead, she held it even tighter and followed him along the wide corridor toward the source of the sound.

Carey Mulligan's expressive large eyes were already smiling, clearly knowing something Murphy didn't.

She wasn't just a simple good girl.

Turning the corner, the sound became clearer, unmistakably the moans of a girl. Murphy frowned. Lily Collins was only twelve years old. Could it be that...

The set where the sound was coming from was surrounded by scenery, with only an entrance for the camera on the opposite side of the warehouse wall. Murphy paused at the entrance, hesitating. Although he hadn't heard this kind of sound in real life, he knew what it might represent.

Are white girls really that precocious?

As he hesitated, Carey Mulligan emerged from behind, pressed against the scenery, and peeked inside, quickly pulling her head back with an exaggerated expression.

Murphy glared at her and asked with his eyes. Carey Mulligan deliberately pouted and mouthed, "James Franco."

Murphy's eyes widened. This guy, who usually had the heart but not the courage, had moved so quickly?

He took a step forward, blocking Carey Mulligan behind him, and quickly peeked inside. The scene was completely different from what he had imagined.

On the set, Lily Collins was sitting on a high-backed chair, one leg rolled up to the knee, her shoes and socks already off, placed on the bent leg of James Franco, who was sitting on a low stool opposite her.

James Franco held Lily Collins's ankle with one hand and slowly rubbed her foot with the other. The little girl seemed to enjoy this game, and every time James Franco's hand touched her foot, she made strange sounds.

"Remember?" James Franco pinched a toe, "This little pig went to market."

His hand moved to the other toes, "This little pig stayed home, this little pig had roast beef, this little pig had none, and this little pig came crying home."

Lily Collins giggled, "I like it."

Judging by their words, they seemed to be rehearsing, but James Franco's enthusiastic demeanor and Lily Collins's laughter didn't seem like they were practicing a script.

Murphy shook his head, not wanting to watch anymore. Just as he was about to leave, he heard Lily Collins urge, "Don't stop, Dad, continue."

He shivered involuntarily, pulled Carey Mulligan away, and left the warehouse without going to the office.

"What are you doing, coming out?"

Taking a sun hat from her bag and putting it on, Carey Mulligan grabbed Murphy's arm and complained, "It was such a great scene, it's a shame not to watch it."

Murphy pulled her toward the car, irritated, "Do you want me to get you a chair to sit at the door and watch?"

"That would be too embarrassing." She followed closely behind Murphy, "Although I've seen them before..."

She suddenly stopped talking.

"Before?" Murphy stopped at the Ford, turning to look at her, "When was that?"

Carey Mulligan quickly shook her head, "I don't know. I just saw them once, hiding in a corner outside the set, whispering and being very intimate."

"From then on, I felt they were not normal." She moved to the passenger side, "Think about it, James Franco is not someone who would let Lily, that fool, go. Oh, and..."

She seemed to know a lot that Murphy didn't. After he got in the car, she opened the passenger door, sat down, and fastened her seatbelt, saying, "I once asked Lily what she thought of James, and she said James was great, like her dad."

"Uh..."

Murphy started the car but didn't move, stunned.

After a moment, he suddenly realized that James Franco wasn't as stupid as he thought. It seemed he had found a way to connect with Lily Collins.

If he remembered correctly, Lily Collins had been away from her father since she was young, and she called James Franco "dad."

"What a complicated relationship."

This thought flashed through Murphy's mind as he drove away. Hollywood had too many messy affairs, and he didn't want to think about it anymore. After all, he had seen that James Franco was a smart person who knew what to do and what not to do. Even if he wanted to do something he shouldn't, he would find the right time and place.

"What are you thinking about?" Seeing Murphy lost in thought, Carey Mulligan reminded him as the Ford drove onto the main road, "You'll cause an accident like this."

Murphy quickly snapped back, "Nothing."

Carey Mulligan loosened her seatbelt, "I can finalize my withdrawal from school in a few days."

Murphy turned to look at her, surprised, "Your parents agreed?"

"I don't want them to interfere."

Seeing Murphy look at her again, Carey Mulligan nodded seriously, "I've convinced them."

The word "convinced" sounded strange, but Murphy, who was driving, didn't notice and didn't try to persuade her further, as her parents had already agreed.

Although he knew there must be something he didn't understand, it wasn't surprising that the Mulligans had compromised once and could do so again.

Seeing Murphy's silence, Carey Mulligan puffed out her cheeks and turned to him, "Do you have any advice?"

"Advice?" Murphy thought seriously for a moment and said, "Carey, have Bill get you into a drama school or acting class."

"I just got my freedom by dropping out of school," Carey Mulligan pouted, "and you want to send me back to school."

"Dear," Murphy didn't say it directly but hinted, "Remember, you said I would become a great director, and you would become the best actress. I'm working hard now."

Carey Mulligan lowered her head, "I understand, I need to work hard too."

Murphy reached out and gently patted her head.

The car entered Venice, and the two of them had a wild day.

After a period of relaxation, the crew regrouped and welcomed the final shooting.
