"Quite interesting!" Wang Zichuan muttered to himself.

"What's so interesting?" Weng Meiling suddenly appeared beside Wang Zichuan, teasing him, "Are you interested in Sister Yang? She's known as the most beautiful woman in traditional costumes."

Yang Pan and Weng Meiling were both born in 1959, with the former being three months older than Weng Meiling.

Wang Zichuan smiled shyly, noticing that no one was paying attention to them, and said with a laugh, "With a beauty like you, how could I be interested in an older beauty?"

Weng Meiling glared at him angrily and said, "Don't joke like that. I already have a boyfriend. If Yeh knows, he'll be jealous."

Wang Zichuan felt a pang of pain in his heart. Seeing Weng Meiling's slightly frowning face, he couldn't find the words to explain. He just didn't want her to repeat the same mistakes, and he had no other ulterior motives.

Perhaps realizing she had been too harsh, Weng Meiling smiled, "Do you want me to introduce Sister Yang to you? Hehe, I'm just afraid you won't be able to handle her."

"Why?" Wang Zichuan saw Weng Meiling's mischievous look, which reminded him of her role as Huang Rong. He knew she was about to tease him again.

"Ha ha ha!" Weng Meiling laughed, "Sister Yang is very skilled in martial arts. If you two were together, I think your future days would be tough."

Wang Zichuan glanced at Weng Meiling, not convinced. How powerful could a woman be? Besides, Yang Pan was so gentle and delicate. He didn't believe in such nonsense and said to Weng Meiling, "Do you think I'm an onion or garlic? I used to practice martial arts, I just haven't practiced recently."

Weng Meiling smiled smugly. Her cousin was good in every way, but he was too slick and frivolous. Letting Sister Yang teach him a lesson would be good for him.

Weng Meiling left triumphantly, and Wang Zichuan went to the camera to study the actors' positioning techniques. He couldn't help but admire the chemistry between Yang Pan and Miao Qiaowei.

"Ah Kang, are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine!"

"You... you're lying to me again."

"I..."

"Why do you keep lying to me?"

"I just want to see you!"

"Ah Kang, you keep lying to me. Don't you think it's annoying? I'm so foolish to believe you're about to die!"

"Nianci, I just want to see you..."

"Don't be so presumptuous! I won't be moved, no matter what tricks you use, I won't come to see you."

...

Wang Zichuan quickly got into the role, feeling deep sympathy for Mu Nianci.

"Zichuan, come over here!"

Wang Zichuan turned around quickly when he heard someone calling him. It was Du Qifeng waving at him.

"Brother Du, you called me?"

Du Qifeng asked, "Weng told me you're a Chinese-Malaysian?"

Wang Zichuan was full of resentment towards Malaysia and reluctantly nodded, thinking to himself, "I'm a pure Chinese, not some hyphenated Chinese."

Du Qifeng took out a stack of papers and instructed, "This is my junior's new script. Go and revise it, and then give it back to me."

"Revise?" Wang Zichuan didn't understand what Du Qifeng meant and cautiously asked, "How can I dare to touch Brother Du's script!"

Du Qifeng looked at Wang Zichuan and smiled, "This is a new script, just an outline. My junior is quite mischievous. You've studied screenwriting, so why can't you revise it? You should learn from Xiao Bao."

Du Qifeng had his own difficulties. His master, Wang Tianlin, asked him to take care of Zichuan. If he ignored him, it would make him seem petty. He wanted to see if Zichuan had any talent for screenwriting. If Zichuan wasn't up to it, he would have a reason to explain to his master.

Wang Zichuan subconsciously looked at Weng Meiling and saw her mischievous face, realizing he had been tricked again.

"Brother Du, don't worry, I'll do my best."

Little brat, you think this can stump me? I'm a man of foresight. What famous TV shows or movies in Hong Kong haven't I seen? Wang Zichuan took the script, though he could do it, he still wanted to confront Weng Meiling.

"Cut! Everyone, take a break, prepare for the next scene."

"Congratulations, Ah Wei, your scenes are done!"

"Finally, I can rest. Thanks, Director!"

Miao Qiaowei wiped the 'blood' from his mouth and walked straight to the makeup room.

Wang Zichuan pulled Miao Qiaowei, who had just finished his scenes, and asked urgently, "Who is Xiao Bao?"

"Xiao Bao?" Miao Qiaowei was confused and looked at the script in Wang Zichuan's hand before reacting, "You mean the TVB genius Wei Xiaobao? He's a screenwriter. Oh, you have his script? Hey! Is this the script for 'The Return of the Condor Heroes'?"

Wang Zichuan snatched the script, thinking Miao Qiaowei was joking.

"Ah Wei, don't think I don't know anything just because I'm new in Hong Kong! Wei Xiaobao is a character in Jin Yong's novel. How could he exist in real life? Besides, this isn't the script for 'The Return of the Condor Heroes'."

Miao Qiaowei looked and confirmed it wasn't, then explained, "You only know part of it. Wei Xiaobao is a nickname for Wei Jiahui. I heard the 'The Return of the Condor Heroes' production is in preparation, waiting for 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes' to wrap up. So far, I haven't received any notice, so I'm not in this production."

Thinking about it, Miao Qiaowei felt a bit disappointed. 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes' and 'The Return of the Condor Heroes' were major productions by TVB this year, with an unprecedentedly strong cast, aimed at competing for ratings with ATV.

Seeing Wang Zichuan approach, Weng Meiling asked with a smile, "How did it go? What did the director say to you?"

Wang Zichuan held up the script and said angrily, "You're pushing me into a fire. Look, this is the script Brother Du asked me to revise. It doesn't even have a title. How am I supposed to revise it?"

Weng Meiling said seriously, "Zichuan, if you want to stand out, you need to perform well. What's wrong with screenwriting? Didn't you boast about graduating from a prestigious university? Are you going to back down over this?"

"No, this... Okay, I admit, I'll do it. I won't sleep tonight if I have to, but I'll finish the script."

Weng Meiling finally smiled with satisfaction and said earnestly, "There are many bookstores in Temple Street. You can buy some screenwriting books. I recommended you, so don't make me lose face."

Hearing Weng Meiling's nagging, Wang Zichuan put on a surrendering face, "Got it! Miss, I promise."

Wang Zichuan hesitated for a moment before asking, "Weng, can I ask you a question?"

Weng Meiling played with her hair, "What question? Go ahead."

Wang Zichuan stammered, "Why... why are you so good to me?"

Weng Meiling looked down and kicked the ground, "Um... why are you asking this?"

Wang Zichuan, seeing her nervousness, immediately said confidently, "You know, I'm a man. A man saved by a beautiful woman, and treated so well, might have some improper thoughts."

Weng Meiling was startled, thinking Wang Zichuan was confessing, and refused, "Don't think like that! I saved you because you remind me of... This is my private matter, why should I tell you?"

Wang Zichuan's disappointment flashed across his face, and he laughed, "Do I look like your ex-boyfriend? Or your current boyfriend?"

Weng Meiling stomped her foot and replied without thinking, "Go to hell! You look like my dad... You jerk, you tricked me again."

"Dad?" Wang Zichuan protested, "Am I that old?"

...

After a busy day, during which Wang Zichuan even played a minor role as a Mongolian soldier, everyone in the crew looked tired. Some extras couldn't wait to shout,

"Wrap it up!"

"Wrap it up!"

After the main actors finished their makeup, most of the crowd had already left, leaving the set much emptier. Huang Rihua and Miao Qiaowei were chatting and laughing, occasionally greeting the crew members. Weng Meiling and Yang Pan walked together, laughing and joking every few minutes as if they had rehearsed it.

Wang Zichuan sat in a corner, studying the script. He recognized the traditional Chinese characters from his past life, thanks to a big boss in Taiwan who insisted on using traditional characters and speaking Cantonese in the company.

Hmm! This script seems familiar. Wang Zichuan quickly flipped to the last page and saw the name Wang Jin. Wang Jin was Wang Tianlin's son, and Du Qifeng was Wang Tianlin's disciple, so they were indeed junior and senior.

Wang Jin, a famous commercial film director in Hong Kong and one of the pioneers of "nonsense" films. He was a high achiever at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, especially skilled in screenwriting, and a well-known screenwriter in the Hong Kong film and television industry.

Wang Zichuan sighed with relief. He had seen this movie on Storm Media. Although he couldn't remember the entire plot, he hadn't forgotten the funny parts.

Huang Rihua passed by and saw Wang Zichuan still reading the script. He approached and said, "Zichuan! Still busy? Want to go to a food stall together?"

Weng Meiling interrupted, "Zichuan has to revise the script, he doesn't have time today."

Huang Rihua blinked and said in a strange voice, "Yeh has already disappeared from our nightlife. You're not going to let Zichuan off the hook too, are you?"

Yang Pan scolded, "You guys always get drunk. Weng is just looking out for Zichuan."

Miao Qiaowei, standing nearby, also got caught in the crossfire and said with a bitter face, "It's Huang Rihua who forces us to drink. I have a low alcohol tolerance, you can ask... Zichuan!"

Weng Meiling's face turned strange, and she glared at Miao Qiaowei, making him feel his hair stand on end. Had he said something wrong?

Huang Rihua's tense face immediately relaxed, and he bent over laughing. He explained to the confused Miao Qiaowei, "Ah Wei, you're smart most of the time but foolish at times. Zichuan is Weng's cousin, who just arrived in Hong Kong a few days ago. So, Weng knows Zichuan's situation best. You were talking nonsense in front of her... ha ha, you finally showed your true colors."

Yang Pan, learning the truth, couldn't help but laugh and scold, "You! You're as bad as Yang Kang."

Wang Zichuan finally declined Huang Rihua's invitation. He was eager to go back and revise the script. He felt this was an opportunity. Perhaps through this script, he could meet Wang Jin, a famous commercial director. If he could build a relationship with him, he could establish himself in the Hong Kong entertainment industry.
