Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Boom!
With the fists wrapped in Nen abilities colliding continuously, the entire corridor outside the activity room echoed with the immense sound.
Perhaps for the exhausted ordinary Hunter candidates, this slight noise would not affect their ability to find a quiet place for a good sleep, to rest and prepare for the upcoming third trial.
But for the two overly energetic kids who were wandering around the airship, this sound instantly piqued their curiosity and adventurous spirit.
Before long, Gon and Killua arrived at the door of the activity room, peering inside cautiously through the crack.
When they saw the intense confrontation between President Netero and the others, and felt the powerful aura permeating the air, Killua's cat-like pupils instantly dilated, contracted, and dilated again. His whole body trembled involuntarily, clearly recalling the indescribable terrifying aura from his brother Illumi.
In contrast, the pure-hearted Gon exclaimed excitedly, "Amazing! I didn't know Allen and President Netero were so strong!"
"Hmm?"
Hearing the familiar voice behind him, Allen subconsciously glanced at the door with the corner of his eye.
But who knew that President Netero would take advantage of this brief moment of distraction, grabbing his left ankle and shouting, "Opening!"
"Oh no!"
Feeling the iron-like grip on his ankle, Allen immediately knew he had lost. Without a word, he concentrated his Nen on his back to form a defensive "hardness."
The next second…
Boom!
He was used as a weapon, swung around, and slammed into the ground with great force.
There was no room for evasion, no chance to break free, and he created a crater with a radius of over five meters on the floor.
Fortunately, there was a thick, sturdy steel plate beneath the floor, or the airship would have been punctured.
"Damn! I concede! You hit too hard!"
Allen jumped out of the pit, shaking off the wooden boards and debris on his body. From the outside, he seemed completely unharmed.
Not only was he unharmed, but he didn't even have a single scratch.
"Oho ho ho ho! This is the punishment for losing focus during a fight. Remember, never let your mind wander during a battle, or you might die." President Netero warned meaningfully.
However, it was clear from his eyes that he was quite surprised that the young man in front of him had not even a scratch after taking a hit from him.
"Alright, it's my fault," Allen admitted frankly, while secretly thinking that the old man was really devious.
Perhaps others couldn't see it, but he knew that the old man had been serious in that instant, deducting nearly 500 HP points with the impact, even with the "hardness" in effect.
If it had hit his body directly, a broken bone and internal bleeding would have been inevitable.
"Do you want to go another round?" President Netero asked, still not satisfied.
Allen quickly shook his head, "No thanks, I don't want to take part in the next exam with injuries. Besides, I still have to fight with Hisoka. If you're not done, you can find them."
He pointed to Gon and Killua standing at the door, then turned to leave with Roubus, planning to find a quiet place to digest the techniques and experience he had learned from the fight.
As Allen left, President Netero immediately turned his attention to the two kids at the door, picking up a ball and asking, "Do you want to play a little game with me? If you win, I can give you a Hunter license directly."
Enticed by the offer, the innocent Gon and Killua became his new playthings.
…
After a whole night of flying, the airship finally arrived at the location of the third trial—the Tower of Greed—by 8:00 AM.
Feeling the strong wind from the high altitude and the terrifying height of the tower from the ground, many people couldn't help but shiver.
Just as the candidates were thinking about how to reach the ground from such a height, Allen suddenly said to Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio behind him, "Sorry, I have to go first. Good luck with the third trial. Cheer up!"
"Eh?"
"What?!"
"Are you…?"
Before the three could react, he jumped down, and in just a few seconds, he was already close to the ground.
When the height was less than ten meters, a loud sonic boom echoed around the Tower of Greed.
Using the recoil from the sonic boom, Allen successfully slowed his descent, landing steadily on the ground. He then whistled with two fingers in his mouth.
Instantly!
Roubus, who was still at the top of the tower, appeared by his side.
The whole process was extremely fast, taking no more than half a minute in total.
Apart from President Netero, both the candidates and the examiners were stunned.
"Are you kidding me? He jumped from such a height and didn't die?" Leorio said, his mouth wide open in disbelief.
"Unreasonable! Unscientific! At this height, even if his body were made of iron, he would have broken both legs."
Kurapika, being the one with both looks and intelligence among the four main characters, immediately tried to analyze the situation from a scientific perspective.
Unfortunately, Nen in this world had never been about science but was strongly influenced by idealism.
"Allen is really strong!" Gon's eyes sparkled.
Killua chimed in, "Right! This guy is like a monster. Don't forget, yesterday he could fight that powerful old man back and forth."
Having witnessed Allen's sparring with President Netero and played the ball game with the president, they had a more intuitive and clear understanding of the vast gap in strength, even though they didn't know what Nen was yet.
However, just as the candidates were still in shock at Allen's astonishing feat, another figure leaped down.
It was none other than the self-proclaimed magician, Hisoka.
Unlike Allen's method of landing, Hisoka directly activated his Nen ability— "Love" —which attached to the outer walls of the tower. Using its powerful elasticity and stickiness, he easily neutralized the gravitational acceleration and landed on the ground with a standard gymnastic backflip of 180 degrees.
"Come on! Right here! Let's fight!" Hisoka instantly burst with powerful Nen and issued a challenge.
Allen hesitated for a moment and quickly refused, "Let's wait for the next test. The area here is not big enough, and I don't want to display my abilities in such a place."
"No! No way! I can't stand it anymore. Do you know the feeling of having a delicious apple right in front of you but not being able to take a bite?" Hisoka kept licking his lips, his face showing extreme madness.
"Ah—You're really impossible. It seems you won't listen to me no matter what. Since that's the case, let's warm up here, but we'll decide the winner after the next test starts."
With that, Allen gave Roubus a mental command.
Without a word, Roubus immediately used the pet skill "Wolf Howl" and stepped back to observe the fight.
Taking advantage of the increased attack strength from "Wolf Howl," Allen rushed out like an arrow, swinging his fist and aiming for Hisoka's annoying face with all his might.
"Ha ha ha ha! Yes! Yes! That's the spirit! Come on! Kill me!" Hisoka laughed maniacally, raising his arm to block.
But the moment they made contact, he immediately felt the situation was dire. Both the terrifying Nen and physical strength were beyond his capacity to handle.
