Chapter 2 begins.

This is the main story where school life starts. Please enjoy it.

Today, my school life begins.

I woke up earlier than usual and put on my uniform.

The uniform is a simple design with a white base. The expensive decorations added here and there stand out even more. It is an outfit befitting a noble school.

I have become thinner and taller. I have even gained some muscle. I should be able to pull off the uniform now.

I stood in front of the mirror and checked my appearance once more.

"Yep, it looks good."

Kururi Heran.

Today marks the beginning of the three years that will shape my destiny.

As I passed through the door, the usual two people were waiting.

Both of them were also wearing the uniform well.

"Shall we go?"

"Yeah," "Yes!"

Our school building, when viewed from above, apparently resembles the katakana "ロ".

I've heard that there is a vast garden enclosed by the school building.

It seems that students can spend their time here freely during lunch and after school.

What a luxurious use of land!

The eastern side of "ロ" is where the regular classrooms are located.

Classes are divided from A to J, and students study compulsory subjects in these basic classes.

The northern side of "ロ" houses the classrooms for elective subjects that require practical skills.

I've heard that there are even classrooms where medicinal herbs are cultivated.

The school building is huge, so it wouldn't be surprising to find anything there.

By the way, there is a library to the south, as I heard from Iris.

The western side is where students can use rooms for their own purposes.

I guess I'll learn more about the school as I go through my school life.

On the north side of the vast school building, there is a sports field and a hall used for events and assemblies.

What a vast piece of land!

When I arrived at the school building, the class list was posted at the entrance.

Vain and I were in Class A as expected.

Cross is in Class C.

It seems a bit sad that we will be separated so soon.

The school is divided into floors, with the first year on the third floor and the third year on the first floor.

When we reached the third floor, Class A was at the front.

The back is where the lowest-ranked Class J is located.

When I entered the classroom, a few students were already there.

Iris and Eliza were not there yet.

It seems that the seats are assigned, and mine is in the back left corner. Vain's is in the back right corner.

I can't help but think that Vain's seat assignment was intentional.

It would be hard to concentrate with such a big guy in front.

Students started to trickle in, and by the time the class started, everyone was present.

Eliza's seat is the second from the front in the third column from the right.

She's far away.

Well, she probably won't cause trouble during class.

Once all the students were in place, a person who seemed to be the homeroom teacher entered.

"Ah"

It's Coach Wu from the physical fitness test.

"Everyone, I will be your homeroom teacher for the year, Mitchell Wu.

Pleased to meet you. I feel honored to be in charge of the excellent Class A."

Coach Wu has her hair in a ponytail, a somewhat masculine face, and a tall, slender build.

She always seems to wear sports clothes, just like the last time I saw her.

Coach Wu started to speak, and we were informed about today's schedule.

"First, there's the opening ceremony. It's a celebration for you, so enjoy it.

After that, we'll return to the classroom and I'll explain the school's class system."

After the talk, Coach Wu led us to the assembly hall on the north side of the school building.

The first-year students, with Class A at the front and Class J at the back, proceeded to the assembly hall.

The opening ceremony is held in the assembly hall, which is used for events.

The assembly hall is an open space, similar to a gymnasium.

Therefore, it can be freely decorated.

This is the most auspicious day for a school attended by nobles.

It's safe to expect a grand welcome.

When we arrived at the assembly hall, two burly men at the entrance opened the doors.

"Congratulations on your admission!"

Cheers poured out from the opened doors.

It was a grand welcome from the upperclassmen.

Inside, the decorations on the ceiling and walls sparkled.

The path for the first-year students was lined with flowers, creating a lavish atmosphere.

How beautiful.

My heart leaped with the welcome that exceeded my expectations.

It wasn't just me; the other first-year students had similar expressions.

"Wow"

I turned my head and looked around.

When was the last time I felt such pure joy?

At the end of the flower-lined path, chairs for the first-year students were prepared, and everyone sat down.

"Congratulations on your admission, everyone."

The person who started speaking on the stage was an old man.

"I am the principal, Eidan Morris. I heartily congratulate all of you on your admission.

Do not sit back and relax in your privileged and warm lives; strive hard in your studies for the next three years.

Well, I won't talk too much. There will be performances by the upperclassmen, so enjoy them."

"Wow!"

The first-year students cheered.

I couldn't stop feeling elated.

"Enjoy it!"

A young man burst out from the wings of the stage, replacing the principal.

From his makeup, it seemed he was going to perform something like a circus.

Songs, plays, performances, and various other events were held, and the opening ceremony ended to everyone's satisfaction.

Ah, what a good experience.

This is how the first-year students' school life begins.

It's a good tradition. Next year, we'll create something just as wonderful.

Even after returning to the classroom, everyone continued to talk about the opening ceremony.

It was that moving an experience.

"Excuse me"

A voice came from my right, and I turned my head. A woman next to me was speaking.

"Are you Kururi Heran?"

"Yes."

The woman hugged herself with both arms and her eyes sparkled.

"Really! I'm a fan of Kururi!"

Fan!? What for!?

I've never done any idol activities.

"Oh, really. By the way, what's your name?"

"I'm Heart Valentine."

The woman with the large, dreamy eyes and slightly emphasized chest and droopy eyes introduced herself.

"I've heard about you, Kururi. You ranked third overall in the entrance exam and are proficient in magic, right?"

"Um, yeah."

I felt flattered by the praise and scratched my head to hide my embarrassment.

"Moreover, you're the next lord of the Heran territory. You're really amazing."

"Well, Heart, you're also a genius in Class A."

"Oh, me?"

She waved her hands in a flustered manner.

"Right now, among the first-year students, you, Prince Ark, Rayle, and Eliza are called the 'Miracle Four.' I'm in a different league."

What is that! Stop it! It's embarrassing!

"Where did that story come from?"

"I don't know the source, but Prince Ark already has a fan club. We can't fall behind."

"I don't want to compete in such things."

"Aww"

Heart looked a bit sad.

"It's not something to be so down about. Students should focus on their studies."

"…Yes."

"Everyone, take your seats!"

Coach Wu entered at the right moment, preventing the mood from getting too heavy.

"Did you enjoy the opening ceremony? Now let's focus on our studies.

I'll start explaining the class system."

The talk was long, but in the end, we received a paper that explained everything.

There are four compulsory subjects:

Advanced Arithmetic

Magic Studies

Swordsmanship

History

These four subjects are taken with the other students in Class A and are mandatory.

Next, we have to choose four subjects from a list of 15 electives:

Accounting, Chemistry

Psychology, Geology

Astronomy, Architecture

Animal Husbandry, Medicine

Herbology, Leadership

Unorthodox Studies, Martial Arts

Philosophy, Law, Biology

These are taken with students from other classes.

We have two weeks to decide.

I'm interested in Herbology for now. I think something profitable like Animal Husbandry would also be good.

"Make sure to read the documents I gave you. It's also a good idea to think about your electives now.

That's all for today. It's still early, so you can explore the school if you want. Dismissed."

Coach Wu left the classroom with a brisk pace.

She's a straightforward person.

"Um, Kururi"

As soon as Coach Wu finished speaking, Heart called out to me.

"What is it?"

"What do you plan to do for club activities?"

"Oh, there are such things?"

"Yes, so you haven't decided yet?"

"Um, no."

I didn't know there were club activities.

What do they do? Can we play soccer?

"Would you like to start a club? Of course, you would be the club leader."

"Can you just start one like that?"

"Yes, as long as you gather enough people."

"But we haven't decided what to do, and will people really gather so easily?"

"Yes, they will. Just use Kururi's name. Please wait a moment."

Heart took out a thick pen and started writing on a clean sheet of paper.

It made a rhythmic, pleasant sound.

"Great souls, gather at Kururi Heran's side!!

Those who wish to join, meet in the courtyard! Deadline is 4 PM!!"

"…Isn't that a bit too enthusiastic?"

"That's just right."

"But we haven't decided what to do yet."

"We can decide that after we gather."

"…Okay, sure."

"Great!"

She's really enthusiastic.

Heart posted the notice in the hallway, and we moved to the courtyard.

The courtyard was covered with grass and had a fountain in the center.

It would be a nice place to have lunch on a sunny day.

"I hope a lot of people come."

Heart said as she sat on the grass.

I sat down and replied.

"What nice grass."

I ended up lying down.

The prickly sensation of the grass felt good. I almost fell asleep.

"Is this Kururi Heran's club?"

A man with a gloomy face came from the side where I was lying.

"Yeah."

I was surprised that the first person came so quickly.

People really do come.

More people trickled in, and the deadline of 4 PM passed.

Heart was taking attendance.

1, 2, 3, … 47, 48!

"Kururi, including me, we have 48 members."

Including me, that's 49 people.

That's too many.

I can't handle this many! Where are Vain and Cross? Are they doing special training again today?

Heart stood in front of everyone and took a deep breath.

"We, the 48 of you who have gathered at Kururi Heran's side, do you swear absolute loyalty to this club led by Kururi Heran?"

"YEAH!!"

"If you betray the club or Kururi Heran, are you prepared to receive the appropriate punishment?"

"YEAH!!"

"Everyone, bow to Kururi Heran!"

Everyone bowed quickly.

This is completely different from what I imagined!!

I thought we would have a relaxed club with a few people, but it's gone in a completely different direction!

The concept of club activities is totally different!

Everyone is so enthusiastic!

If I slapped them in the face, they might say "Yes, sir!"

"Kururi, now that the club is formed, can you give us something to symbolize the club?"

In that case, I have a lot of swords I made.

It's a good way to clear out my inventory.

"I'll give each of you a sword I made."

"Thank you. Next, let's go to the teacher to request funding for the club."

"Is that possible?"

"Yes, it is. Let's go!"

"Go!?"

Are we going to attack the teacher?

"…Go"

"YEAH!"

This might not be so bad.
