- Octavia (16 years old)

A former high school girl who is now reborn into a world strikingly similar to the BL fantasy novel "The Virtuous King." Her name in her previous life was Tazawa Makoto. She is currently the first princess of the Esphera Kingdom. Despite the change, her personality remains that of Makoto, differing from the princess Octavia depicted in the original novel.

- Serius (19 years old)

The first prince of the Esphera Kingdom and the heir apparent. Octavia's older brother and the hero in "The Virtuous King." He is handsome, intelligent, and excels in martial arts, making him a perfect superman. His manly beauty makes him seem untouchable and hard to approach. He is serious and somewhat rigid.

- Sil Burks (17 years old)

The protagonist of "The Virtuous King" and Serius's lover. The third son of the Burks baron family. He possesses a gender-neutral beauty and gives a friendly impression due to his expressive face. He is an excellent dancer.

- Clifford Alderton (25 years old)

A knight who serves as Octavia's bodyguard. He was adopted by the Alderton earl family and rose from a commoner to a noble. He is loyal to his duties and rarely shows any change in expression. While he usually maintains a dignified demeanor, he occasionally reveals a wild side.

- Alexis (14 years old)

The second prince of the Esphera Kingdom and Octavia's younger brother. He often smiles and shows a lot of expressions in front of Octavia but usually has a cold expression in other situations.

- Eilair Burn

The second son of the Burn viscount family and a soldier serving in the royal castle. Rust's younger brother. He threw a sword in the training ground, which led to him informing his brother that Octavia wanted to meet him.

A maid serving Octavia. She works diligently despite often having a deadpan expression due to the various things she sees daily.

- Matilda (36 years old)

The head lady-in-waiting who oversees the women working in the royal castle. She is from a baron family, remains unmarried, and has risen from a simple maid to her current position.

- Randall

A former mercenary with a family. He was hired as a soldier in the royal castle at the age of 38. He was a common soldier but was promoted and became one of Alexis's subordinates.

- Rosa Redington (35 years old)

The head of the Redington earl family and a female earl. She invited Octavia to a preliminary ball. She is a graceful woman with a shrewd side.

- Hugh Winfell

The Viscount Winfell. A young man who danced with Octavia and achieved glory. With Octavia's support, he was able to marry the girl he loved. He is in the capital for the lords' council and is close to Rust.

- Cissy Leure

A girl born into a family of scholars. A talented woman. She is Hugh's fiancée and has come to the capital with him. She exchanges letters with Octavia and is a friend through books.

- Rust Burn

The eldest son of the Burn viscount family and Eilair's older brother. The person Octavia asked to pretend to be her lover. He has a somewhat mischievous aura and a distinctive mole on the left side of his forehead.

- A Young Man

The person who transformed Makoto into Octavia and brought her into the world of "The Virtuous King."

- Reave Knightfellow

The head of the Knightfellow duchy and Derek's father. He is affectionately called "uncle" by Octavia. Uncommon among Esphera's nobles, he does not have a male lover and has cultivated love with his wife through marriage.

- Stein

A lanky red-haired young man. At the preliminary ball, he worked under Reave. He has a fondness for handsome men, is carefree, and is weak. He sometimes hangs out with Guy, the soldier, on his days off.
