Chapter 8

Qin Zhengfan glanced at Situ Chuxue with a look that seemed to regard her as an idiot, then neatly laid out two pieces of clothing on the ground.

Under the moonlight, Qin Zhengfan’s face was pale, his body slender. Although he looked handsome, what came to Situ Chuxue’s mind at that moment was the legendary vampire. She imagined herself lying flat on the cloth, with Qin Zhengfan hovering over her, his beautiful mouth growing two long fangs that pierced her neck, blood spurting out and flowing into his mouth.

Thinking of this, Situ Chuxue instinctively covered her neck and tried to step back, but she was so terrified that her legs trembled violently, as if filled with lead, unable to move at all.

Situ Chuxue obediently sat down next to him.

"The police are here!" Qin Zhengfan said calmly and stood up.

Situ Chuxue then noticed the flashlight beams moving below and faint voices.

"It’s the police, it’s the police!" Situ Chuxue jumped up excitedly.

"Since the police are here, you can wait here. I’ll leave first." Qin Zhengfan said calmly.

"No!" Situ Chuxue instinctively reached out and grabbed Qin Zhengfan’s hand.

Qin Zhengfan looked down at her slender fingers, which had turned white from the force, and his eyes momentarily wavered.

A girl had once grabbed his hand with such force, and her hands were so beautiful.

But the same beautiful hands had later harshly pushed him away!

"Can you wait until the police arrive before you leave? I’m still a bit scared!" Situ Chuxue felt Qin Zhengfan’s gaze like a sharp thorn and immediately let go of his hand.

She didn’t want to beg him again, wanting to appear strong and determined, but the words that came out were still a plea.

Qin Zhengfan didn’t answer her. Instead, he waved his phone’s flashlight and shouted down the hill, "Officer, we’re here, here!"
