April, Sakura Middle School.
"Who's the strongest in your class?"
A deep male voice echoed, and the noisy 2-C class immediately fell silent. The students who had been playing around turned their heads to look at the man standing at the classroom door.
He was handsome, with a black ponytail, one hand in his pocket, and the other holding a notebook. His expression was somewhat hesitant and uncertain.
Although he had been in many fights at his previous school, this was the first time he had ever challenged a class, and he was indeed a bit nervous.
However, since he had decided to dominate Sakura, his journey had just begun, and he could not back down now.
Seeing that everyone's attention was on him, the man quickly took his right hand out of his pocket and read from the notebook, word by word, "My name is Takaya Genji. Bring out the strongest person in your class to fight me. If I win, this class will have to listen to me."
Upon hearing this, everyone turned their heads reflexively and looked at the corner of the classroom.
Takaya Genji followed their gazes.
In the classroom, which was filled with scattered chairs, snack bags, drink bottles, and cigarette butts, there was a roughly two-meter-long and wide 'sacred ground' by the window.
The floor there was spotless and dust-free.
On this empty space, there was only one desk, and the nearest desks were more than two meters away, as if they were afraid of something.
A student was sitting at that desk, reading a book. He had short, black hair, and was quietly holding an ancient literature textbook, undisturbed by the noise and conversations around him, or the current silence.
The afternoon spring sunlight shone on him, turning his side face and hair golden. He extended his pale, slender hand and quietly turned a page of the textbook, exuding a literary youth's aura of tranquility and elegance.
Takaya Genji was stunned, rubbed his eyes, and looked again.
No matter how he looked, the guy seemed like a model student, and how could such a person be the strongest in 2-C?
Takaya Genji was somewhat angry, "This guy looks like one of our school's top students. I said I want to find the strongest person in your class."
At this moment, a cough came from beside Takaya Genji.
Takaya Genji turned his head, and a man with a blonde ponytail, blue sapphire earrings, and a handsome face leaned against the wall and said calmly,
"He ranked first in the entire grade on his entrance exam, is a specially admitted student by the principal, and is the president of the newly established martial arts club at our school."
"He is the man whose fighting skills stand at the top of Sakura, not just the strongest in 2-C, but the strongest in the entire school."
Takaya Genji was stunned, pointed at the 'literary youth' with his finger, and looked incredulous.
"Really, him?"
The blonde man glanced coldly at Takaya Genji and nodded.
Takaya Genji narrowed his eyes and stared at the blonde man for a while. Seeing no sign of lying in his eyes, he snorted, "Don't you dare lie to me."
With that, Takaya Genji strode into the classroom and approached the 'strongest person' in front of everyone's hesitant expressions.
Looking at the man who was still reading seriously and occasionally turning a page, Takaya Genji couldn't help but frown.
This guy had soft and beautiful facial features, with a layer of warm blue in his black eyes, as if he were wearing colored contacts.
Overall, he gave off a gentle and composed scholar's demeanor, not at all like the so-called strongest person, let alone a delinquent.
However, one's aura doesn't lie, and Takaya Genji, who had been in the yakuza since childhood and had been in over a hundred fights since junior high, had a good eye for such things.
But with the arrow already on the string, he had no choice but to let it fly. Takaya Genji decided to test him first; he had no interest in beating up a good student.
So he put his hands in his pockets, looked down at the reading man, and asked,
"Hey, if I beat you, will this class have to listen to me?"
Slam.
The book closed, and the reading man finally stood up.
Takaya Genji was 178 cm tall, and the man was about the same height, so they were eye to eye.
The man looked at the scrutinizing Takaya Genji and smiled kindly.
"Exactly."
Takaya Genji raised an eyebrow, surprised that this guy had admitted it himself. He had thought the whole class was just joking with him.
No matter what, since the other party had admitted it, there was no way out.
At least he couldn't come here for nothing. He would go easy on him and give him some face.
"What's your name?"
The man didn't answer immediately but smiled and took off his neatly pressed school uniform jacket, unbuttoning his shirt one by one.
Takaya Genji sneered, put his hands in his pockets, and looked out the window with boredom.
He didn't notice that the students in the classroom were looking as if they had seen a ghost, huddling together and hiding in the corner, as if they were afraid of being caught in the crossfire.
"Kan Koushin."
Boom!
In the corridor, a figure crashed through the glass and flew out, landing hard on the edge of the railing with a loud thud.
People strolling in the corridor were startled, looked up at the class sign, and realized it was 2-C. They immediately left without any interest in the commotion.
"Wow!"
Takaya Genji spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling excruciating pain all over his body, his bones groaning as if they were about to fall apart.
He clutched his chest with one hand, blood gushing from his mouth. He had just taken a punch there and was thrown out by the neck.
Wow!
As he couldn't help but vomit blood, he suddenly felt the world go dark. Looking up, he saw a tall figure blocking the sunlight.
Before he could react, Takaya Genji felt his neck tighten as a muscular hand grabbed his collar and lifted him up.
His feet off the ground, Takaya Genji's eyes widened as he finally got a clear view of the man's face.
"Kan Koushin," Takaya Genji groaned.
The 'literary youth' had transformed, his body now covered in bulging muscles.
His streamlined muscles were full of power, bulging on his bare upper body.
His black hair danced in the wind like a lion's mane, his black eyes flashing with a hint of crimson, and his mouth curled into a bloodthirsty smile.
"Didn't you want to beat me?"
"I... I..."
Takaya Genji didn't understand why the literary youth had turned into a muscular man in the blink of an eye.
If he had known the guy had this level of muscle under his clothes, he wouldn't have been so cocky. But Kan Koushin's previous appearance was too deceptive!
"Be smarter next time, I mean, in your next life."
As he spoke, Kan Koushin raised a fist high, pulling it back like a bowstring, the fist as big as a sandbag aimed at Takaya Genji's head, blocking the sun.
The last ray of sunlight was blocked, leaving only the dark, crimson eyes and the increasingly sinister smile.
This punch...
Would kill him...
He had a deal with his yakuza father: if he could dominate Sakura Middle School, he would inherit the Ryusei-gumi.
But he never expected to die on his first day of school!
He wanted to resist but couldn't even lift his arm. He was too injured. After struggling for a moment, he closed his eyes.
Deep despair enveloped him.
Ding dong!
Bang!
Takaya Genji fell against the railing, dazed.
Watching the muscular back of the man, who seemed like a mountain, walk back into the classroom, he muttered,
"Why did you let me go..."
Takaya Genji panted heavily, his mind filled with relief and confusion. After resting on the ground for a while, his body finally recovered a bit.
He struggled to stand up, limping to the classroom door and peering inside.
A bald middle-aged teacher was standing at the podium, lecturing and writing on the blackboard.
Kan Koushin had already put his clothes back on, looking like a literary youth again, sitting at his desk and listening attentively, taking notes.
Takaya Genji finally realized what had happened. He looked at the old metal bell next to the door.
"So, the class bell saved my life."
Thinking that the class bell, which he had always ignored, had saved his life, his faith finally collapsed. He laughed bitterly and couldn't hold on any longer, collapsing to the ground.
In his last moment of consciousness, his mind flashed with the thought,
'Dominating Sakura, I think I'll pass...'
