In a daze, after finishing his morning routine, Yang Feng fell asleep on the bed. When the phone rang and woke him up, it was already 7:30 in the morning. After getting up hurriedly and finishing his morning routine, Yang Feng left his rented apartment and headed to the company.

More than forty minutes later, while munching on a bun and holding a cup of soy milk, Yang Feng walked into a logistics company called Dalitong. This was where Yang Feng worked, and he was the warehouse manager, commonly known as a warehouse supervisor.

As Yang Feng stepped into the company, he was about to greet his colleagues who were coming to work, but he noticed that many of them were looking at him with either sympathetic or malicious glances. This made Yang Feng quickly realize that something must have gone wrong in the company. Just as he was about to walk to the warehouse, he saw Ms. Xu from the finance department walking over. Upon seeing Yang Feng, she quickly approached him, grabbed his sleeve, and pulled him to a corner where no one else was around. With a somewhat anxious expression, she scolded him, "Xiao Feng, where have you been these past few days? Why haven't you come to work?"

"Work?" Yang Feng asked in confusion, "Ms. Xu, it's New Year's Day, isn't the company on holiday? Why should I come to work?"

"You..." Ms. Xu glared at him angrily, "Do you know that a batch of goods had to be shipped out urgently the day before yesterday, but there was no one in the warehouse? The client's goods were delayed by two whole days. This even alarmed Manager Zhao, who gave Supervisor Zhou a severe scolding. Supervisor Zhou even threatened to make things difficult for you yesterday."

"Why should I be blamed!" Yang Feng exploded, "Even though the company is on holiday, isn't there someone on duty in the warehouse? Why was no one there to ship the goods, and why is the blame falling on me now?"

"Are you an idiot?"

Ms. Xu, frustrated with Yang Feng, poked his forehead with her delicate finger, "Is this your first day at work? Don't you know that Wang Xiaobo, who was supposed to be on duty, is Supervisor Zhou's nephew? When something goes wrong, who else would take the blame if not you?"

"Damn..."

Yang Feng now understood everything. It seemed that Wang Xiaobo had left his post without permission during his shift, leading to no one being in the warehouse. Now, the blame was being placed on him, making him the scapegoat.

Thinking about this, Yang Feng's face darkened, and he clenched his fists, ready to head to the second floor, but Ms. Xu stopped him.

"What are you going to do?"

Yang Feng gritted his teeth, "I want to ask him why he's making me the scapegoat. If he pushes me too far, I'll complain to the company headquarters!"

"Are you crazy!" Ms. Xu was both angry and amused, "Xiao Feng, you're not a newcomer. How can you say such childish things? Do you need me to remind you who Supervisor Zhou is? I can guarantee that if you confront him, you'll be fired within an hour. Do you still want this job?"

After Ms. Xu's words, Yang Feng realized he had been a bit impulsive. In this era where graduation equals a career, even college graduates have to humble themselves to find jobs, let alone him. Although his current job didn't pay much, the working environment was decent, and he was sheltered from the elements. While it didn't offer much in terms of promotion or wealth, it was enough to support himself. Otherwise, Supervisor Zhou wouldn't have placed his nephew here.

Thinking about this, Yang Feng took a deep breath and said, "Alright, I understand. Can you let me go now, Ms. Xu?"

"Hmph, if it weren't for our collegial relationship, I wouldn't bother with you."

Only after hearing this did Ms. Xu release her grip on Yang Feng's collar. As he relaxed, Yang Feng suddenly realized that he and Ms. Xu were almost pressed against each other. A faint, alluring scent of a mature woman wafted into his nose. Looking down, he saw that her ample bosom was pressed against his chest, the dazzling white almost blinding his eyes. Realizing this, Yang Feng's face turned red instantly.

Although Yang Feng always called her "Ms. Xu," she was only in her early thirties, the prime of a woman's life. With a fair complexion and a curvaceous figure, she was a frequent object of desire for many male colleagues, even Supervisor Zhou, who had often tried to make a move on her. However, Ms. Xu had always rejected him, so he could only drool over her.

Women's intuition is indeed sharp. Ms. Xu immediately noticed Yang Feng's embarrassment. Seeing his flustered face and awkward expression, her own face turned red, and she whispered, "I thought you were a decent person, but you're just as bad."

Yang Feng couldn't help but laugh bitterly, "Ms. Xu, it's not my fault. You're just too attractive."

"Spit... A dog's mouth can't produce ivory." After this incident, Ms. Xu couldn't stay with Yang Feng any longer and quickly left, her face red.

Watching Ms. Xu's hurried and flustered figure, Yang Feng took a deep breath and reminded himself again that she was a married woman. As a penniless and carless nobody, he shouldn't have any thoughts about her, let alone disrupt her family.

As he was thinking, Yang Feng headed towards the warehouse. Just as he was about to reach the warehouse entrance, a somewhat effeminate voice sounded from the side.

"Hey... Yang Feng, you finally decided to come to work. I bet you had a great time these past few days. But your good days are about to end. Supervisor Zhou just told me to inform you to go to his office immediately after you start work."

Yang Feng looked up and saw a young man wearing a flashy jacket and tight pants smiling at him. However, this smile seemed sinister to Yang Feng.

Seeing this person, Yang Feng felt a wave of disgust. This was Wang Xiaobo, Supervisor Zhou's nephew. Lazy and gluttonous, he often relied on his uncle's name to slack off and harass female colleagues, making him a very unpopular figure. However, he was oblivious to this.

Yang Feng sneered, "Wang Xiaobo, don't think others don't know about your dirty deeds. Clean up your own mess. Don't even think about making me take the blame!"

Wang Xiaobo didn't get angry and continued to smile sinisterly, "Yang Feng, don't be so hasty. Supervisor Zhou told me to inform you to go to his office immediately after you start work. We can talk about it after you come out of his office."

With that, Wang Xiaobo turned around smugly and walked away, the nails on his shoes clicking on the floor.

"Damn it." Watching Wang Xiaobo's swaying back, Yang Feng spat and then headed to the second-floor office.

"Knock, knock, knock..."

"Come in!"

As soon as Yang Feng entered, he saw Supervisor Zhou sitting in his large, swivel chair, swaying back and forth, completely unaware that his large, heavy body was causing the chair to creak.

Seeing Yang Feng, Supervisor Zhou put down his pen, crossed his legs, and said in an official tone, "Yang Feng, I want to ask you why I couldn't reach you on the phone these past two days. The company has a rule that all employees must keep their phones on 24/7. Do you know that you've violated company rules? I could discipline you just for this. Moreover, because you didn't answer the phone, we caused significant losses to a client, who is now threatening to complain. How do you plan to handle this?"

As soon as Yang Feng entered, Supervisor Zhou tried to set the tone by putting him on the defensive.

However, Supervisor Zhou's words made Yang Feng, who had already planned to lower his head to keep his job, unable to hold back. He said calmly, "Supervisor Zhou, the company does have a rule about keeping phones on 24/7, but as far as I know, this rule only applies to supervisors and above, and important departments like finance and accounting. As a mere warehouse supervisor, I don't have the privilege of such attention. Moreover, during the New Year's holiday, the warehouse was manned. If I remember correctly, the person on duty was your nephew, Wang Xiaobo. You might be blaming the wrong person. Why don't we call Wang Xiaobo here to confront him?"

"You..."

Supervisor Zhou didn't expect a mere warehouse supervisor to speak to him with such sarcasm. His face turned red, and he shouted, "Yang Feng, what kind of attitude is this? Is it wrong for the company to ask you to come back to work? Not only did you not answer the phone, but you also want to shirk responsibility. Do you still want to keep your job?"

Yang Feng, who was already seething with anger, couldn't hold back any longer. He stepped up to Supervisor Zhou and said coldly, "Zhou Shengda, don't pretend to be a good person in front of me, and don't think I'm easy to bully. Everyone in the company knows what kind of person your nephew Wang Xiaobo is. I have no problem with you covering for him, but don't try to pin the blame on me. I won't stand for it!"

Seeing Yang Feng defy him, Zhou Shengda flew into a rage, slammed his hand on the table, and stood up, pointing at Yang Feng's nose and shouting, "You... who do you think you are! Do you think I won't fire you and send you back to the fields?"

Yang Feng, who wasn't the type to swallow his anger, saw Zhou Shengda threatening him and decided to stand his ground. He slammed his hand on the table.

"Bang..."

A loud noise echoed as the table in front of Zhou Shengda shattered, and the computer and office supplies on it fell to the ground with a crash.

The office was left with two faces staring at each other, and then a scream echoed through the room...
