Chapter 24

As soon as he ascended the throne, Otto collapsed and was immediately moved to a sickroom for treatment.

"Is the lord, no, His Majesty, alright?"

"It seems he had a heart attack. Fortunately, thanks to Sir Camille's quick administration of CPR, it seems he has passed the critical stage."

"His Majesty suddenly had a heart attack?"

"There don't seem to be any specific signs of illness... but it might be due to his poor lifestyle habits."

Camille seemed to understand what the doctor was saying.

Otto had always led a sedentary life.

His body was already in bad shape due to his dissolute lifestyle, and without exercise and a poor diet, it wasn't surprising that he developed cardiovascular disease.

"I hope Sir Camille will pay close attention to correcting His Majesty's poor lifestyle habits."

"...Understood."

Suddenly burdened with Otto's health management, Camille held his head in his hands, looking exhausted.

'Now I have to make him exercise too...'

He already had a mountain of work, and when was he supposed to take care of Otto's diet and lifestyle?

Even if there were 48 hours in a day, it wouldn't be enough.

'At least it's fortunate that there's no danger to his life.'

Despite his fatigue, Camille stayed by Otto's side.

A few hours later.

"Ugh."

Otto clutched his chest and sat up.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Where am I? Why am I here?"

Otto looked around and asked Camille.

"...Do you not remember again?"

"Yeah."

"You collapsed right after the coronation ceremony."

"Me? Why? Surely not...?"

Otto glared.

"Are you going to hit me with a stick again...?"

"It was a heart attack."

Camille quickly clarified to avoid being unjustly accused.

"Oh, really?"

But Otto didn't seem particularly concerned about the fact that he had a heart attack.

"I thought it was something else."

"Excuse me?"

"A heart attack? So what? It's not like it's a stroke."

"What do you mean by that?"

Camille frowned.

"Is a heart attack just like a muscle ache to you? Your heart stopped. You almost... ."

"Pfft."

Otto waved it off as if it was nothing.

"It's fine~ No need to worry~."

"Are you trying to die right after ascending the throne just because you're the king?"

"It's fine~? I'm alive, that's all~. It's only when it's time to die~. Just let it be~."

"Your Majesty!"

Camille was furious at Otto's carefree attitude.

"A ruler who does not take care of their own body... ."

"I'm really fine."

Otto calmed Camille with a steady voice.

"I'm not going to die. Not until January 1st next year."

"Really?"

"It's just a sign."

As he said this, Otto's gaze was not on Camille but on an interface visible only to him.
