# Chapter 29. <Just Who Are You?>
Kale's carriage leisurely headed west toward the capital.
The capital, Whis. The city was being decorated everywhere in preparation for the upcoming birthday celebration festival, which was just a week away. The entire city was bustling with activity.
Kale looked out through the slightly raised curtain, lost in thought.
'Choi Han will probably arrive in about three days.'
Unless he moved at an insane speed, Choi Han would arrive three days later than Kale's group. He had to bring Rosaline and Lark, and with Lark, he would inevitably get entangled with the secret organization, causing delays.
Choi Han, the sole survivor of the Blue Wolf Clan and a potential Wolf King, would encounter the secret organization again while traveling with Lark. This would be the fourth time Choi Han had been involved with the secret organization, following the capital terror incident.
The village of Harris, where he first lived after leaving the Dark Forest. The secret organization that had wiped out that village. Choi Han had encountered their members twice, but he didn't know much about them.
'The assassins didn't have stars on their clothes.'
In Harris and with the Blue Wolf Clan, the goal was extermination, so the secret organization sent their assassins, who wore only black clothes as a precaution. They were the type who would commit suicide if captured.
But things changed from the capital.
'That bloodthirsty guy will show up.'
Choi Han, along with Rosaline, would stop the terror incident and see a 'commander' of the secret organization. The commander and his subordinates would have a red star and five white stars embroidered on their chests.
Kale had also thought of an excuse for this. He looked out the window with indifferent eyes and then closed the curtain.
The excited faces of people decorating the streets, the streets becoming more splendid. All of this would turn into a scene of chaos in a week.
"Lord Taylor."
In the western part of the capital Whis, where the nobles' mansions were located, Kale stood up and prepared to leave as he felt the carriage stop in front of a mansion.
"When you arrive at the mansion, Ron will clear the way for you. Just follow him."
He added, looking at the carriage door.
"Forget it."
Two voices reached his ears.
"Thank you."
"See you with a smile later."
Kale's lips curled slightly. Cage and Taylor looked at him, but neither Kale nor his cat gave them a glance.
Click. The carriage door opened.
"Milord, we have arrived."
Kale, Hans, and the cats saw Taylor and Cage but ignored them as if they weren't there. They got out of the carriage as if they didn't exist.
Kale turned his gaze to the driver's seat as soon as his feet touched the ground. Ron smiled kindly and nodded. Having heard the explanation from the butler Hans, Ron would handle the mansion.
Ron and the driver headed to the stable at the back gate.
Kale turned his gaze away from them.
"Wow."
He let out a short exclamation. The kittens On and Hong looked amazed, their golden eyes wide open.
"Better than expected?"
Indeed, the wealthy viscount's family. Beyond the massive iron gate, a five-story mansion was visible. There was a garden between the main gate and the mansion. It wasn't flashy or dazzling, but it looked much more expensive than the other nobles' mansions nearby.
When money is spent properly, a sense of luxury and aura can be felt. The Viscount Hennitus family, with their golden turtle statues, exuded a subtle elegance.
Creak. Bang!
The massive main gate, adorned with a golden turtle, slowly opened. The guards opened the gate, and beyond it, the chief manager and the staff stood on both sides to welcome Kale.
"Lord Kale Hennitus! Welcome!"
Their overly polite greetings were excessive. They bowed so deeply that their heads almost touched the ground. The elderly man, who seemed to be the chief manager, spoke loudly as if trying to raise the veins in his neck.
"We will serve you with all our might!"
Why is this happening?
Kale looked at Hans. Hans pretended not to understand.
'I know, don't I?'
His gesture suggested he knew exactly why this was happening. Kale, too lazy to ask, approached the chief manager and helped him up. Then he looked at the other staff and said,
"Everyone, please stand up."
The staff quickly raised their heads. They had never seen Kale before, but they had heard about him from the people visiting the capital mansion.
The wild Kale. The one who treated everyone working for the family as either nobles or scum, or even lower. They waited nervously for Kale's next words.
"From now on, don't be overly formal. I don't pick on people who do their jobs well."
The staff's eyes turned to Kale. Their stiff expressions made Kale frown slightly.
"I heard you were chosen by my mother and that you take pride in your jobs. I expect you to act accordingly."
The staff's expressions became peculiar.
"From now on, ask Hans about any related matters."
Since he had a lot to do anyway, it was better to delegate everything to Hans. There was no point in worrying about things he wouldn't stay long for. Kale took a step forward as the staff's expressions relaxed and occasionally brightened.
"Go."
Kale led the way, heading for the five-story mansion inside the main gate.
When the owner of a house enters for the first time, they must walk from the main gate to the front door. This symbolizes that it is their territory.
When the crown prince ascends to the throne, he walks from the main gate of the palace to the central palace where his office is located. It's the same kind of ceremony.
Previously, Viscount Tert and his wife had walked in this way, but now the owner of this massive mansion was Kale Hennitus.
Creak.
The massive iron gate, engraved with a golden turtle, closed. At the same time, as information always spreads in this area, the news that the Hennitus family's noble heir had arrived reached the surrounding noble families. This was faster than Kale sending someone to report to the royal family.
Because of this, three members of the Northeastern Noble Heirs' Association who had arrived early fell into deep thought. Their faces, which had been relaxed while drinking tea, darkened.
"Wow... I didn't expect Lord Basen, but Lord Kale. This is a headache."
"At least he's one of us, so we have to support him."
"That's true. Even if he's a wild one, he won't act out in front of us, right?"
The neutral and gentle Hennitus family. The inflexible but kind Lord Basen. The wild one of that place. They, who were close to the Hennitus family among the Northeastern Association noble families, ultimately decided to think about the future.
"Let's protect him properly so he doesn't cause trouble. Let's meet and talk first."
To them, Kale was a risk but also someone who needed protection, like a child left on the doorstep. They immediately sent an invitation to Kale's mansion. The invitation was quickly delivered to Kale's hands that evening.
"Huh."
Kale threw the letter on the table with a very annoyed expression.
"Aren't you going?"
"Can I not go?"
"No, it's the Northeastern Association."
"Right."
Nobles were very quick with information. Of course, this was true for Kale as well. Hans handed him the documents he received from the chief manager.
"These are the noble heirs' families that have arrived in the capital."
"Right. Ron did a good job, didn't he?"
To Kale's indifferent question, Hans answered briefly.
"Yes."
Kale was satisfied with the answer. Kale had prepared thoroughly. With a wig, a robe, a wheelchair with the emblem hidden, and money. He had prepared everything properly. Of course, except for the money, everything was done by Hans.
"Good job. Take a rest today."
"Yes, I'll rest well."
Hans, who wouldn't say it was fine when told to rest, was told by Kale.
"Oh, and bring me something to eat."
"Understood."
Hans immediately responded to Kale's statement that he wouldn't go to the dining room, and soon a fairly lavish meal was prepared in Kale's bedroom. Kale looked at the table, which was set with various desserts and wine, quite satisfactorily, and then headed to the terrace.
His bedroom was on the third floor, where the sun shone the most. He opened the large glass door leading to the terrace without hesitation.
"Come in."
He left the door open and sat in front of the table. He looked at the terrace, and soon a few leaves floated and landed on the long chair opposite Kale.
The dragon entered, attaching the leaves.
On and Hong sat on the chair with the transparent dragon between them.
Kale watched them silently and uncorked the wine bottle.
"Eat."
The red wine filled the glass.
"I've been bringing you ingredients, but you couldn't eat them."
Kale said, bringing the wine glass to his mouth.
"Thank you for following me."
At that moment, the transparency spell was lifted, and the black dragon revealed itself. On removed the leaves from the dragon's body, and Hong stuffed the steak made by Vicros into the dragon's mouth.
On average, seven years old. Kale watched the three animals eat silently and pushed the food closer to them. On and Hong were startled, and the black dragon stopped chewing and looked at him. Kale, drinking the wine, thought,
'You'll have to work hard from now on.'
Since they would work hard in his place, he needed
