Thank you for applying to our guild.
After a rigorous selection process, we regret to inform you that we have decided not to accept your application this time.
We apologize for not being able to meet your expectations, but we are grateful for your interest in our guild and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I stared at the rejection letter.
Despite myself, a sigh escaped my lips, but I couldn't afford to be disheartened for long. It had been several months since I arrived in this labyrinth city, and such rejections had become a daily occurrence. In fact, this was not the first rejection letter I had received; it was the eighth.
Each time, my self-esteem was wounded, and I felt miserable, but this one was particularly harsh.
"Because I received a reply the day after I applied."
The quick response suggested that perhaps my name had become well-known among the adventurer guilds in this area.
—In a negative way.
"I haven't been rude or done anything improper, though."
I muttered, but I couldn't deny that there was a reason for this.
I had come to this labyrinth city with the ambition of becoming a top-tier adventurer, but I lacked the necessary skills for an adventurer.
No, I had a decent set of abilities, but they were average.
Chrom Melville, 16 years old, Level 1, Unemployed Adventurer
Strength: D
Endurance: D
Vitality: C
Agility: D
Magic Power: D
Magic Defense: D
Intelligence: D
Faith: D
Overall Combat Power: 102
My stats were average, but considering that the average for the city's residents was E, my stats were relatively high.
However, the problem wasn't with my stats but with my skills. I sighed and cast a spell.
"Skill Open"
As I chanted, my skills were listed.
"Ah..."
Looking at my status screen, I sighed again.
Swordsmanship D, Fire Magic F, and so on were acceptable for a new adventurer, but the issue was the "Unique Skill" listed at the top.
A unique skill is a skill assigned to each individual in this world, and no two are the same. It is an original skill given to a person.
Residents of this world go to the temple on their 16th birthday and receive their skill from a priestess.
Of course, I went to the temple on my 16th birthday and received my skill from the priestess, but the skill I was given was outrageous.
Naturally, "outrageous" here is not a good thing, but a bad one. The skill I received was:
"Equip Anything"
This skill, as the name suggests, allows me to equip anything. I can equip a greatsword that requires a B or higher in Strength, a magical rapier that requires a B or higher in Magic Power and Agility, and even a magic sword that only dark knights of Level 50 or higher can equip.
In a sense, it's an outrageous ability, but it's useless. No matter what weapon I can equip, I'm still only Level 1, and I don't have the money to buy such high-quality weapons.
Thus, my unique skill "Equip Anything" is a case of having a treasure that I can't use, and it has never been useful.
In fact, I have been rejected by eight guilds in a row.
No matter how much I write about the advantages of this skill on my resume, I am immediately rejected when I write my current level and stats.
Even if I manage to get to the interview stage, I receive a rejection letter once they see my current equipment.
No matter what I can equip, I am still just a Level 1 unemployed adventurer, a young man aspiring to be an adventurer, equipped with a dagger and traveler's clothes.
"There's no guild that would hire someone like me."
I had knocked on the doors of various adventurer guilds in this labyrinth city, but the response was always the same.
At first, I aimed high and applied to an A-rank guild, but was naturally rejected. Now, I am compromising and applying to D-rank guilds, but that hasn't been going well either.
Under normal circumstances, I should lower the rank of the guilds I apply to, but there is a reason I can't do that.
"If I register with an E-rank guild, I'll end up picking up trash in the dungeon."
That would be a blow to my pride. I didn't come to this labyrinth city to pick up trash.
Moreover, if I were to get a job at an E-rank guild, I would be ridiculed by my older sister back in the countryside.
"Chrom! What are you doing! Our family may have fallen, but we were once nobles. Besides, your grandfather was a legendary hero. If you disgrace
