Chapter 11

After crawling through the storage and returning home, I immediately decided to use the Equivalent Exchange skill.

My current money is 6 silver coins and 2,252 copper coins.

"The change for tomorrow... Yeah, most customers paid with copper coins, so 300 should be enough."

First, I set aside 300 copper coins for tomorrow's change.

"Next, I'll use the Equivalent Exchange skill... Here we go!"

The silver and copper coins disappeared, and in their place, 25 crumpled 10,000 yen bills and 5 1,000 yen bills appeared. Additionally, 2 100 yen coins appeared.

The money I originally had was 24,100 yen.

The skewers cost 300 yen.

Aina's flowers cost 3,300 yen.

The match purchase funds were 6,500 yen.

The stall registration fee for 5 days was 5,000 yen.

The net profit is 216,000 yen.

"...... Seriously?"

I think this is an outrageous amount for a day's work—no, an hour's work.

Moreover, it's much more than the monthly salary of the black company I used to work for.

And that was just in one hour.

"If I can make 200,000 yen a day, working just one hour every two days would give me a monthly income of 3 million yen. That's over 36 million yen a year. ...Maybe I don't need to look for a new job anymore?"

The idea of a semi-laid-back life makes my heart race.

"Maybe I can have a dream life where I can play games and read manga all day..."

Whoa, I need to get a grip.

I need to prepare for tomorrow instead of daydreaming.

I got on the bus and headed to the home center in the neighboring town.

◇◆◇◆◇

"Matches, matches, matches... Ah, here it is."

Finding the match corner at the home center, I started throwing all the matches into the cart.

"Wow, there's even something called survival matches."

In one corner of the match section, there were survival matches. According to the description, they are highly water-resistant and wind-resistant.

"Seems like they would sell well to adventurers. I'll buy some of these too."

The total cost for the matches was 127,500 yen.

I paid for them from the profit I made this morning from selling matches.

I never thought I would buy 1.3 million yen worth of matches, but it's not a waste if I can get several times that amount back tomorrow.

"Thank you very much."

After paying, I faced a big problem.

"...I ended up buying a lot."

Buying the stock, I ended up with a huge amount of matches.

How am I going to get them home?

I thought about catching a taxi, but then it hit me.

"Wait a minute..."

A lightbulb went off in my head.

"Since I can use the Equivalent Exchange skill, I should be able to use the [Spatial Storage] skill too, right?"

I rolled the cart to the rooftop parking lot.

Looking left and right to make sure no one was around, I said,

"Hmph!"

I willed the contents of the cart to be stored.

Suddenly, a tear appeared in the space in front of me.

It must be telling me to store the items in this tear.

I started putting the large quantity of matches into the tear in space.

Once everything was in, the tear disappeared.

"Alright, it's stored. Now, let's try taking something out."

I willed a survival match to be taken out.

A storage list appeared in my mind.

―――――――――――――

[Storage List]

- Small Matches: 600

- Large Matches: 200

- Survival Matches: 100

―――――――――――――

As expected, the list was full of matches.

I imagined taking out one survival match.

Immediately, a tear appeared in space.

When I reached in, I felt the solid texture of a survival match.

"...Amazing. Spatial storage is amazing."

Once I got the hang of it, it was easy.

I could freely take out and put in matches.

"I don't have to worry about carrying things anymore. This might be the ultimate skill for doing business in another world."

Equivalent Exchange and Spatial Storage.

With these two, I can definitely make a lot of money.

"Alright. First, I'll sell matches for 5 days. After that, I'll seriously think about my business."

I went to bed early to prepare for the next day.
