The next day, I transferred trains and made my way to the west exit of Shinjuku.
Why did I come to Shinjuku?
It was because I was looking for alcohol to serve the adventurers.
A major home electronics store is located at the west exit of Shinjuku Station.
On the second floor, an entire floor is dedicated to selling alcohol.
"I had heard about it, but this is amazing."
Unlike the alcohol sections of ordinary liquor stores or supermarkets, the selection here was truly impressive.
Even to the untrained eye, it was clear that the selection was top-notch.
One could say that you could buy alcohol from all over the world in this one corner.
"It's like an alcohol theme park."
Of course, there was beer, as well as sake, chuhai, and shochu.
There were liqueurs, whiskey, and brandy.
For wine, a walk-in wine cellar was even installed in one corner of the floor, selling wine in a temperature-controlled environment.
Out of curiosity, I asked a store employee, and was told that there were 7,000 types of alcohol sold on this floor alone.
"There's even a snack corner and a tasting bar... If I start drinking, I might not be able to leave until closing time."
From the other side of the counter, a bartender with a pleasant smile greeted me.
I suppressed my thirst with a steel will and, with a shopping basket in hand, headed to the sales floor.
"First, some beer... Ah, just to be safe, I'll get bottled beer. Cans might be a hassle. In that case, I should get a variety of beers from different countries. And I can't forget about local craft beers."
I started putting the bottle beers I noticed into the basket, one by one from the end.
It was a bulk buy.
"I'll also get a few whiskeys. I can't forget the sweet liqueurs for the ladies. I like sweet cocktails too... Oh no. The basket is already heavy. My arms are reaching their limit."
I kept tossing alcohol into the basket, and when it was full, I went to the checkout.
I went to a place where no one could see me, jingling the bags of alcohol, and stored them using my storage skill.
"Phew... I almost lost my arm."
I shook my arms to loosen the muscles.
Yesterday, there were about 50 to 60 adventurers in the tavern.
"One basket isn't nearly enough."
While drinking too much alcohol is bad for your health, moderate amounts are said to be effective for stress relief.
The town of Nino Rich is located on the frontier, where there are few, if any, forms of entertainment.
At this point, it's probably just alcohol.
If the adventurers, who risk their lives to earn money, can enjoy themselves even for a moment, I don't mind losing an arm or two... or even having muscle pain tomorrow!
"Well, there's no choice. This is for the adventurers' stress relief and, of course, for the money. I'll do my best!"
And so, I continued shopping until my arms reached their limit.
"I'll choose the sake based on my own preferences."
"Thank you!"
"I also need to buy chocolate liqueur for Nesca. I'll prepare fruit liqueurs and juices for Kiki too."
"Thank you!"
"Finally, wine. Stella reacted well to wine, right? Then—red, white, rosé, orange, bring them on!"
"Thank you!!"
"Ah! If I prepare Kahlúa, I can sell milk as a side! Am I a genius for realizing this?"
"Thank you!!!"
"Next, some strong alcohol for the dwarves! How about 96% alcohol by volume spirit? Hehehe, I can already picture the dwarves passed out drunk."
"Thank you!!!!"
On this day, I bought over 600 bottles.
The total cost was 1.7 million yen.
