Chapter 0. Prologue

The Kingdom of Boirat, situated in the central part of the vast Tizmear continent.

Due to its central location, Boirat Kingdom was constantly embroiled in political and diplomatic disputes with neighboring kingdoms. Recently, renowned elite knight squads from other kingdoms had been gathering in large numbers in Boirat's territory.

It seemed that the rumors of the vast continent being divided into the south and north, leading to a major war, were true.

Farmers working in the fields looked up as a group of knights galloped down the main road, stirring up dust, and began to murmur among themselves.

"Dad, those knights look really scary."

A child, still clumsy with his hoe, straightened his back and watched the knights pass by.

"Let's see. Black armor with a moon emblem... That must be the Dark Moon Knights from the Kingdom of Beroy. They're said to be so fearsome, and for them to come all the way here... It seems a major war is really about to break out in the central part of the continent."

"Dark Moon? Maybe it's because of their name, but they all look so scary."

"In battle, appearance matters. The scarier they look, the more intimidating they are."

"Ah, but up until today, I think more than twenty such knight squads have passed by."

"Indeed. It seems elite knight squads from other kingdoms are all gathering here. With the situation like this, why hasn't our lord issued an evacuation order? If something really bad happens, what are we supposed to do..."

A shadow fell over the father's face.

If the continent's north and south were to divide and wage a massive war in this small kingdom, what would become of the lives of commoners like himself? They would likely end up like weeds trampled under the hooves of the knights.

Would it be safer to escape the territory with his family now? He knew how dangerous it was to leave the territory without the lord's permission, but it would be less dangerous than staying in a place that had become a massive battlefield.

"I'm scared, Dad. What will happen to us if a war breaks out... Hey? Hey? Dad! Look over there! A squad of only women is coming!"

"What?"

The father's eyes widened in shock as he followed his son's finger. Indeed, a squad of only women was approaching, exuding an overwhelming aura that even ordinary commoners could feel.

They wore no helmets, and their hair of various colors—brown, yellow, silver, black, white, red, even green and blue—flew in the wind.

Upon closer inspection, there were also mages in robes mixed in, and not just humans, but other races as well.

From their chests and arms, something glinted and shone, a common emblem on their attire.

"Oh! That emblem with the letter 'M' inside a pink heart?!!"

"Why? Dad, why?!"

At that moment, the father and son saw something.

A man surrounded by dozens of women.

The man, who looked to be in his twenties with a youthful face, seemed so gentle and kind that he didn't look like a knight at all.

But the father knew that this gentle-looking man was the husband of the fierce (?) women surrounding him.

"Good heavens! The famous Harem Knights who conquered the northern part of the continent have arrived! The 'M's Harem Knights'!!"

"M's Harem Knights?! Dad! Then, the man among those women is that 'M'?! "

The boy turned to his father, shocked.

At that moment, one of the women from the harem squad shouted loudly, and a voice imbued with mana echoed throughout the area.

"For the peace of the Tizmear continent—!! Our 'M's Knights' have arrived—!! Hahaha—!!!"

It was a terrifying and unique voice, so much so that if heard at night, one might think a witch had appeared. However, the voice carried tremendous power, spreading like a fierce wind across the fields, making one wonder if it was really a human voice.

– Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud, thud –!!!

As the harem squad passed, the field shook as if an earthquake had struck.

Clearly, among the horses they rode, there were some strange ones with horns and even long fangs.

"Dad... Did we see wrong? It seemed like those women were riding strange creatures."

The boy, doubting his own eyes, turned to his father.

But the father, with a serious expression, continued to stare at the retreating back of the harem squad.

"The famous reverse harem squad from the southern part of the continent has come, and now the northern part has sent M's Knights to face them...!"

"Dad, how did that man M manage to have such scary women as his wives? Was he of royal blood?"

"No."

The father slowly shook his head.

"Then, was he of noble blood?"

"No."

"Huh? Then, a noble...?"

"..."

"Then, what?"

The father slowly stroked the boy's head and smiled.

"Well, from what I've heard, that man M was just an orphan and a peasant."

"Really? An orphan and a peasant? Then how did he end up leading such a fearsome knight squad?"

"Indeed. How he became the owner of the harem knight squad is something I'm very curious about too."

The story of how this man M, who so many people are curious about, became the owner of the harem knight squad.

To begin this story, we must go back to a cold winter a few years ago.
