In a desolate land, towering withered trees lined the road on both sides.
In the middle of the road, an army was marching rapidly.
They looked like earth dogs, much larger than humans, but could walk upright, holding thick wolf-tooth clubs in their hands, with bloodshot eyes that were somewhat terrifying.
These were the vicious dog soldiers on which the Pigeon Dog Kingdom relied. Each dog soldier was a Sixth Heaven strong warrior, capable of fighting a hundred ordinary people single-handedly!
"General, we are thirty miles away from the Tai Cang capital."
A dog soldier, struggling to catch up with the armored general who was leading the charge, called out loudly.
"Thirty miles? Then let's rest here for a moment and wait for the Hunting Army's waste."
The Pigeon Dog speaking was the strongest of the vicious dog soldiers, the Vicious Dog General. Unlike the gray fur of ordinary vicious dogs, his fur was a lustrous black, clearly distinguishing him from the rest.
A thousand vicious dog soldiers prepared on the spot. They lay down on the ground, curled up like real earth dogs, resting in the open space.
Not long after, another group of soldiers, several times larger than the vicious dog army, marched on foot. One of their generals came to see the Vicious Dog General and reported loudly, "General! All five thousand Hunting Army soldiers have arrived. Please give your orders."
The Vicious Dog General nodded, a hint of disdain in his eyes: "With the loss of the Blue Guard and Ji Shang, Tai Cang is like a fish on a chopping board, helpless and unable to save itself.
Such a human kingdom can be flattened by just a thousand of our vicious dogs. You are only in the way here."
The Hunting Army general bowed his head, a flash of resentment in his eyes, but he dared not contradict.
The Vicious Dog General said, "In the past, with the Blue Guard protecting and Ji Shang, a powerful divine warrior, we did not dare to attack the entire kingdom, fearing a stalemate that would allow the Crocodile Horn Kingdom to the south to take advantage. Now that the old man Ji Shang is dead, Tai Cang no longer needs to exist.
Their land will be used to raise slaves; their adult members can be enslaved; the rest will be our food. With so much food, our people will no longer go hungry during the two-month-long Day of Silence."
The Hunting Army general nodded, a hint of joy gradually appearing on his dog head.
Indeed, every Day of Silence meant enduring the pain of food shortages. If the entire Tai Cang human kingdom could be used as a food reserve, at least three Days of Silence would pass without hunger.
"General, should we send scouts to investigate the defenses of the Tai Cang capital?" the Hunting Army general asked cautiously.
"Defenses? What defenses? Apart from the eight thousand Blue Guards in Tai City, we have no intelligence from our informants. The six thousand Blue Guards in Blue City are tightly watched by the Zhou Qing Kingdom's monkeys in Blue Green Mountain. What else do we need to investigate?
Do you think those lowly human cattle can suddenly produce an army?"
The Vicious Dog General spoke with disdain, but the Hunting Army general knew it was not just arrogance, but the truth.
"Follow my orders, all soldiers, march! Let us use our dog claws to break open the gates of the Tai Cang capital and eat everything inside!" the Vicious Dog General ordered loudly.
"遵命!" (Compliance!)
Like a thousand beasts charging, they left terrifying footprints on the ground.

"Since the Pigeon Dog's informants have been exposed, why do you still insist on imprisoning the officials in the secret dungeon?" Zhao Qu asked the Crown Prince, who was discussing battle strategies with Ji Qianqing.
"Grand Scribe, can you guarantee that there is only one Pigeon Dog informant among those high officials?" Ji Xia asked without looking up.
Ji Qianqing continued, "As you saw, the Pigeon Dog Kingdom has several strange drugs. One can change appearance, and another can give a mere Fifth Heaven Pigeon Dog a terrifying speed that even I cannot catch up with. We must be cautious."
Ji Xia nodded and said, "The Pigeon Dog Kingdom does not know about the Yin Army. The only advantage Tai Cang has now is the element of surprise.
Apart from these high officials of Tai Cang, no one knows about the death of the king. But in just a few hours, the Pigeon Dogs already knew about it. I fear the news of the Yin Army has leaked. I wanted to temporarily imprison the officials to prevent our only advantage from being known by the enemy. Unexpectedly, this forced one Pigeon Dog to reveal itself, but no one can guarantee that there is only one informant. So, I decided to keep them imprisoned until the war ends."
Ji Qianqing looked at Ji Xia carefully and suddenly asked, "Are you really the Great Wind Walker?"
Ji Xia was taken aback and replied, "Of course, otherwise how would you explain the Yin Army?"
Ji Qianqing shook her head and said, "I learned from books that the Dao of spirit array summoning is known in many powerful kingdoms. I thought you just mastered a very special spirit array. Now I believe you are indeed the Great Wind Walker."
Seeing Ji Xia's puzzled expression, she explained, "Only the Great Wind can transform a once pitiful person into a normal one."
Ji Xia's face darkened, about to argue, when the Long Cang Bell on the palace tower rang, the sound echoing nine times.
"The Pigeon Dog Army is ten miles away from Tai City at the Green Sheep Plain!" a scout reported loudly.
Ji Qianqing looked at Ji Xia.
Ji Xia took a deep breath, stepped to the front of the palace tower, and took out the Tai Cang national order, shouting, "All soldiers, listen to my command!"
The eight thousand Blue Guards struck their weapons in unison.
"Zuo Kun, lead two thousand archers to the city tower. As soon as the Pigeon Dogs enter the range, start firing arrows and throwing stones!"
"Chu Jiao and Meng Yan, each lead a thousand Blue Guards to ambush on both sides. Ji Qianqing, Rong Lu, and I, the Crown Prince, will lead four thousand Blue Guards to face them head-on!"
"遵命!" (Compliance!) The four generals struck their weapons again and led their troops away.
Ji Qianqing looked at Ji Xia with surprise and asked, "Do you want to go to your death?"
Ji Xia, being stubborn, said, "Didn't you see how I killed that Pigeon Dog? Will I die?"
As soon as he spoke, he was surprised by his own words, thinking, "When did killing become so easy and effortless for me? Is it because of the fusion of the Crown Prince's memories?"
Ji Qianqing pouted and said, "That Pigeon Dog was just fast, with only Fifth Heaven strength. You have no spiritual energy at all, and you can only survive with that strange long sword. In battle, weapons are blind. Even a divine warrior of the previous king's strength would not dare to be deeply involved in the battlefield."
She paused and continued, "Believe me, if you go to the battlefield, you will be in mortal danger."
Ji Xia smiled bitterly, thinking, "If it weren't for your claim that those perverted Pigeon Dogs would torture the human royal family for fun, with skinning and dismemberment just as warm-ups, who would want to go to the battlefield?"
He straightened his expression, walked down the stairs, and said seriously, "Let's go, out of the city."
Ji Qianqing replied, "Yes, Your Highness."
Ji Xia walked to the stairs but found Ji Qianqing not following. Turning around, he saw that she had already disappeared from the palace tower.
He touched his nose and cursed, "Jumped down? Be careful not to fall to your death!"
