Chapter 24: Completion of Internal Organ Refinement (Seeking Readers)

Ten days later, Xu Yan returned, bringing with him a jade ruyi and several jade ornaments.

"Good, good, my disciple truly understands my heart."

Li Xuan was instantly overjoyed.

This disciple is really excellent!

Just looking at this jade, it's of considerable value!

It's truly beautiful!

As for the ferocious beasts in the Evil Forest, since Xu Yan has returned, it means they have been dealt with. Li Xuan didn't ask any further.

However, this time, Xu Yan seemed a bit different upon his return.

Li Xuan couldn't pinpoint exactly how different, but he was a bit puzzled, though he didn't think much about it.

After Xu Yan returned, he resumed his usual cultivation routine, but this time, he began to refine his internal organs.

"Internal organs are fragile; the beginning of internal organ refinement must be done with great care, without rushing, otherwise, it's easy to harm oneself."

Xu Yan, who was refining his internal organs, mobilized his qi and blood, first nurturing his heart. As the refinement began, his heart beat more powerfully, and with each beat, his qi and blood increased.

"I will strive to complete the internal organ refinement within three months."

After refining his jade bones, Xu Yan's confidence grew. Completing the internal organ refinement within three months was already relatively conservative.

Three days later.

As the refinement progressed, his heart became stronger, and his qi and blood increased by more than half. The subsequent refinement could be more intense without worrying about harming his heart.

However, as his heart strengthened, Xu Yan also noticed some issues.

"There's a sense of imbalance; I can't just refine my heart; I must refine other internal organs as well."

Xu Yan began to refine his lungs.

He remembered his master's teachings about internal organ refinement: the five organs correspond to the five elements, and the circulation of qi and blood through the five organs forms a complete whole. When the five elements are unified, the internal organ refinement is complete.

After the initial refinement, the internal organs were strengthened. Xu Yan then refined all five organs simultaneously, with qi and blood circulating between them. With each refinement, he could feel his own improvement.

His qi and blood also continued to strengthen.

...

After Xu Yan returned, life resumed its usual pace, and Li Xuan became more relaxed.

He was deeply moved by Xu Yan's persistence.

This foolish disciple is truly determined.

"Half a year has passed, and with another half year, I will be free."

Li Xuan sighed.

As long as he could endure another half year, he could dissolve the master-disciple relationship and hide in the Wu Kingdom.

With the generous gifts from Xu Yan, living a life of luxury would be no problem. He could even marry a few beautiful wives and live a happy life.

Anyway, there is no such thing as an overwhelmingly powerful martial path at the moment.

Moreover, even if it existed, with Xu Yan's background, he couldn't have accessed it, let alone Li Xuan.

The internal organ refinement went smoothly without any setbacks.

Perhaps because of the solid foundation of his jade bones, the internal organ refinement progressed very smoothly and steadily.

After more than two months of intense cultivation, Xu Yan was about to complete his internal organ refinement.

His internal organs were almost free from the state of flesh and blood.

Compared to when he started the internal organ refinement, Xu Yan's strength had increased two to three times.

Especially his qi and blood, which had become incredibly powerful, both in quality and quantity, with significant improvements.

Subtly, his thick qi and blood could burst out of his body at any time, forming a protective layer.

"Within three to five days, I will complete the internal organ refinement."

Xu Yan felt the changes in his body and was extremely excited.

With the completion of internal organ refinement, the entry into the martial path was just around the corner.

"According to my master, the completion of internal organ refinement means integrating the skin, bones, and internal organs into a single body, thus entering the martial path.

"When entering the martial path, the tendons and bones will resonate, and the qi and blood will be as strong as a gale."

Xu Yan immersed himself in the understanding, carefully sensing how to integrate and unify his body to enter the martial path.

It seemed simple, but integrating and unifying the body was not easy.

"The skin, bones, and internal organs are all parts of my body. How can I integrate and unify them? They are already part of my body, inherently unified."

Xu Yan fell into deep thought.

"No, I misunderstood the direction.

"My master said it lies in 'understanding' and 'intention,' not in form. Integrating and unifying the body is about the intention or the qi and blood?

"I have a vague understanding, but it's not enough.

"No rush, I will wait until I complete the internal organ refinement and then carefully understand how to integrate and unify the body."

Xu Yan calmed down and continued his internal organ refinement.

Three days later, Xu Yan completed his internal organ refinement.

However, he had no idea how to integrate and unify the body.

He couldn't make his tendons and bones resonate or his qi and blood as strong as a gale.

"I feel I'm just one step away from entering the martial path, just one step away from making my qi and blood as strong as a gale, but I can't find the way in.

"It seems I haven't fully mastered my body, which is why I can't enter the martial path."

Xu Yan carefully sensed his body, feeling that he was about to enter the martial path.

He was just one step away.

However, this one step seemed impossible to take.

Clasping his fists, his qi and blood surged, and a faint layer of qi and blood, red like fire, appeared on his fists, but it was not solid enough to reach the level of qi and blood as strong as a gale.

Let alone covering his entire body with qi and blood as strong as a gale.

"Just one step away, no need to rush, I will eventually enter.

"What I need to do now is to relax, to ease the state after intense cultivation. Only with a relaxed mind can I easily understand the essence."

Xu Yan began to relax, reducing his cultivation time, feeding chickens, weeding, planting vegetables, and occasionally riding his horse around.

"This foolish disciple, why isn't he diligently cultivating? It feels like he's playing around."

Li Xuan was puzzled. These past few days, Xu Yan hadn't been diligently cultivating and seemed to be in a leisurely state.

"Does he suspect I'm deceiving him?"

Li Xuan fell into deep thought.

After secretly observing Xu Yan for two days, he found that this boy, apart from not being as diligent in cultivation, still did what he usually did, without any changes.

His attitude towards him remained extremely respectful.

Since there was no suspicion, Li Xuan relaxed and didn't rush to motivate Xu Yan to intensify his cultivation.

"I have a vague understanding."

One day, after dinner, Xu Yan began his cultivation.

These past few days of relaxation and self-sensing suddenly brought him a clear understanding of how to integrate and unify his body.

His qi and blood circulated from the skin to the bones and then to the internal organs, forming a complete whole. At this moment, his qi and blood were no longer in a scattered state but were integrated into his body.

At the moment of integration and unification, Xu Yan's control over his qi and blood greatly improved. As his qi and blood continued to integrate and unify, the skin, bones, and internal organs formed a complete cycle, and his qi and blood surged, beginning to burst out of his body.

His strength also continued to surge.

Xu Yan entered a profound state, completely forgetting everything around him.

After an unknown amount of time, the qi and blood bursting out of his body became increasingly intense, transforming from a misty state to a solid form, expanding outward.

Until it expanded to a distance of ten feet around him, it stopped. The qi and blood began to surge, undergoing a transformation, continuously solidifying.
