"This won't do. I have to do something about it."

I was wracked with muscle pain all over my body, unable to sleep at night, and was racking my brain over what to do. The reason was that I had ridden a Valkyrie.

I had moved by riding on Valkyrie's back with only a bridle. This attempt turned out to be somewhat successful.

Normally, riding a horse is not something anyone can do easily. Riding on the back of a creature that moves freely is not a pleasant experience for the animal being ridden. It would likely try to shake you off by moving its body wildly. Even if it didn't, controlling it to move as you wish would require considerable skill. However, with Valkyrie, there were no such issues.

Valkyrie is not a horse I had seen in my previous life but a beast of burden. She was born and raised with my magic, and from the moment she was born, she understood and listened to me. Riding on Valkyrie's back was much easier than riding a horse. Without me saying anything, she moved in a way that wouldn't burden me. Thanks to Valkyrie's considerate nature, I could ride her without much trouble.

However, riding was still a challenge for me. The lack of a saddle or stirrups probably contributed to this. Valkyrie's movement, even when she tried to be gentle, was incredibly shaky. To avoid falling off the moving Valkyrie, I had to firmly grip her body with my legs.

This was more exhausting than I had imagined. After riding for a while, my inner thighs were twitching and in so much pain that even the slightest touch would make me jump. The muscle pain wasn't limited to my lower body. Even if I focused all my strength in my lower body, I could still fall if my upper body was unstable. So, how could I keep my upper body stable on the moving Valkyrie?

The answer was to engage all the core muscles in my body. The core, also known as the core muscles, is the part of the body that, when strong, makes you feel as if a single rod runs from the top of your head to your buttocks. In other words, it's about having a solid axis in your body. If I could maintain this state, the shaking would be significantly reduced.

This idea was not wrong. However, my muscles were screaming in pain. I never thought that just riding would cause this much damage. I had underestimated it. But I couldn't give up just because of that. In my previous life, there were even horse-riding tribes. Riding on the back of an animal is not an impossible task. So, from that day on, I decided to continue my daily riding training.

"Meditation"

After starting my riding training, I developed a new magic spell. To be precise, it was an application of a technique I had been using before.

I named the new spell "Meditation." This spell prevents any magic power from leaking out of the body naturally. I can see magic power as colored when I focus it in my eyes. In this state, when I look at other people, I can observe a faint, hazy blue gas rising from their bodies.

I believe this is the magic power generated within their bodies leaking out like steam from a pot of boiling water. In other words, the magic power they create is constantly being wasted. So, what would happen if I prevented the magic power from leaking out of the body? I had tried this before.

The conclusion was that natural healing ability would significantly improve. The wasted magic power might be helping to heal the body. I had known about this effect but hadn't turned it into a spell because I could use it to recover from fatigue without a spell when I was tired.

However, I decided to turn it into a spell this time for a reason. The reason was that the effect of a spell is consistent when it is cast.

For example, the "Land Leveling" spell always levels a fixed area of land. The "Brick Creation" spell always creates bricks of the same shape when cast. However, the "Body Strengthening" spell, in addition to strengthening the body, also has a duration after it is cast. In other words, the duration of the spell's effect is determined when it is cast.

Interestingly, even if I fell asleep after casting the "Body Strengthening" spell, its effect would continue. In fact, I once broke a wall in my house by rolling over in my sleep while still under the effect of the spell.

Breaking a wall in the house is a problem, but it could also be convenient if used properly. In short, I decided to turn "Meditation" into a spell that would last for a long time. As a result, I succeeded in maintaining an enhanced natural healing state by casting "Meditation" and then sleeping. No matter how severe the muscle pain was, I could fully recover after a night's sleep.

Sleeping in a bed and fully recovering feels like I've become some kind of hero. This way, I obtained a recovery method and could continue my daily riding training without hesitation.
