Chapter 30 The Day Before Forest Training Camp with Childhood Friend
4 min read1,052 words
The next day, the fourth period.
“Yes! Today, I want you to get together with the group you’ve formed for the forest camp and get to know each other better! You’ll be spending a lot of time together tomorrow! Get along well!”
The cheerful voice of our homeroom teacher, Matsue-sensei, rang out. I mean, she’s in charge.
By the way, tomorrow is the forest camp. It’s the best opportunity to make out with Kotoha. For this class, we’re going to have a social gathering to deepen our friendship with the group we formed before.
As for me, I don’t really care as long as I can get along with Kotoha.
…There’s one thing that creates a lot of anxiety in me.
I’m talking about Tamagawa and Teraoka. I’m not saying that I’m not going to talk to Kotoha a little bit, but I’m not going to say anything about it. I’m still jealous though.
But, but! The two of them are a little too familiar, or rather, they are approaching you with their ulterior motives fully exposed. I don’t want them to get close to Kotoha, and she wouldn’t like it either.
When I was lost in thought like that.
“Hey, Shirayuki-san!
“It’s a social gathering!”
Tamagawa and Teraoka were approaching. Their loud voices made her body jump with fright. As it was, she tried to approach Kotoha without hesitation and …….
“Wait a minute, you’re scaring Kotoha.”
In order to prevent this, I stand in a way that protects Kotoha. Then, they sent a hostile glance at us.
“What is it? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I’ve been wondering for a while, but you’re getting carried away, aren’t you?”
I guess you could say it was a good idea. He pounced on me. The momentum is on him, and he continues to speak.
“He’s complaining about me every single time. He’s a pain in the ass, isn’t he?
“Isn’t that right, Shirayuki-san? Shirayuki-san.
“You don’t have to obey his words, you know.”
I think they were trying to make themselves more likable in their own way. But, of course, it had the opposite effect.
Kotoha sobbed irritably at their attitude.
“Don’t talk like you know me!. I’m not a puppet. I’m just moving of my own free will. Also, you guys are too familiar with me. I’d like you to keep your distance.”
It’s the same old poisonous tongue attack. I’m not sure I’ll be able to recover from Kotoha calling me “too familiar”…
“Being too familiar? this is a social event, remember?”
“Yeah! Let’s get along!”
The two of them protest, slightly damaged by Kotoha’s poisonous tongue. They have a very strong mentality. I’m a little impressed.
“I’m not going to get into that. Why should I make friends with men like you? In general,—”
Kotoha continues her “verbal assault”.
“Kotoha, leave it at that.”
I don’t know if I want it to get any more heated than it already is. I’m not sure if I’d be able to do that.
“Muu… That’s right, Tsuzuri-kun …”
I interrupted her, and she was sulking that she was the only one who was warned. She didn’t like both of them and complained to me in a whisper.
I’m not sure what to make of it. I’m not sure if she liked both of them, but she complained to me in a whisper.
“Yes, yes, don’t be so quick to sulk.
“I’m not sulking. I’m not… sulking.”
Although she said so, Kotoha puffed out her cheeks. That’s cute.
I decided to pat her on the head to try and put her in a better mood.
Lately, the distance between us, which was originally close, has been getting closer and closer. It’s unlikely that patting her on the head will worsen the relationship.
In practice, when I put my hand on her head …
“Hmm… that’s the place…”
Kotoha turned her face away in embarrassment. Nevertheless, they still look like they are not full of it—
“Oh, hey, what are you doing!”
“This is a social event! This is bullshit!”
The two of them shouted angrily, dragging us back to reality. And then we realized that this was a school and that we were in the middle of a class right now.
Hmmm… Tamagawa and Teraoka seem to be quite angry. Well, it would be annoying if the girl I was aiming for was flirting with another guy during class.
“Oh, I’m sorry, man. Let’s just let bygones be bygones and get on with it.”
I don’t want to make a mess of things, so I try to be as calm as possible and not provoke the two of them.
But…
“You shut the fuck up!”
“Shirayuki-san! It’s definitely more fun to be with us instead of that guy!
Did they hate what I said so much? Instead of calming down, they were getting hotter.
And Kotoha, who was angry that I was called “such a person,” tried to open her mouth.
It’s not good. If I don’t do something, things will get out of hand. As I was getting impatient.
“Hey, there! You’re in high school, don’t fight! Get along!”
I’m not sure what to say. You’re in high school and you don’t fight! Let’s get along!”
An angry voice came from Matsue-sensei. She is truly a savior to intervene at this time. I thank her for that, but …….
Sorry Sensei, we don’t feel like we can get along with these guys!
While I was expressing my gratitude in my heart, they were…
“Tsk…”
“Tomorrow, seriously, remember …….”
They don’t seem to be rebelling against the teacher. They are going to leave as they always have. Thanks, I think I won’t get along with them.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do this tomorrow. I’m very anxious.
As always, there will be trials and tribulations ahead, and I am prepared for them.
This is how the counterproductive social gathering, which had left a huge root of misfortune over Kotoha, came to an end.
