Inside the room, only Xia Rou’s voice, soft like a bird, could be heard: “Why are you here in your uniform?”

“I came straight from the office.”

“Oh. Let me introduce you guys. This is Zhuang Xiao, Xie Yun, and Li Jingwen. You guys, this is my big brother.”

The girls then greeted him politely, “Hello, Xia Rou’s big brother.”

“Hello,” Cao Yang greeted back with a smile.

He had come straight from the office in his black uniform under his black coat. He was entirely black, with only the badges on his uniform gleaming.

He looked at the things she had prepared. “Is that all?”

“Uh huh. You just have to carry the books. I can carry the box and the quilt myself. The books are pretty heavy.”

Cao Yang held the quilt in one hand and picked up the two piles of books with the other and looked at Xia Rou.

She shut up immediately.

“Then we’ll be going first. Happy New Year everyone!” said Cao Yang.

“Happy New Year to you too!”

“Goodbye, big brother.”

He looked at the things that belongs to Xia Rou: “Is that all?”

“Uh-huh, you just have to carry the books. I can carry the box and the quilt myself. The books are quite heavy.”

Cao Yang carried the quilt with one hand, and he picked up the two piles of books together with the other hand, he took a glance at Xia Rou.

Xia Rou immediately shut her mouth up.

“Then we’ll be going first, Happy New Year everyone!” Cao Yang said.

“Happy New Year to you too!”

“Goodbye, big brother.”

The ladies big a polite goodbye to the siblings.
