Ian casually walked into Philina’s room. Walking behind him, she laughed at Ian’s nonchalant steps.
“Before you know it, my room seems to be your Highness’s property.”
At the sound of Philina’s voice, he shrugged lightly as he sat down on the bed Bessie had used.
“In fact, this building is mine. No dormitory building was built before the patronage of the imperial palace was established.”
“You have great power, Your Excellency the Prince.”
Philina blurted out nonchalantly, in a voice that was not at all impressive.
But Ian only replied with a familiar face, as if it were a sentence that he had already heard tiredly from his aides.
“I know, I’m great.”
“…….”
“What is it? That annoyed look on his face.”
Unable to manage her expression for a moment at his arrogant reply, Filina quickly purred her face and raised the corners of her mouth to lengthen.
Ian, who had been staring at her disapprovingly, snorted a little and muttered.
“That’s a very pretentious smile.”
Filina asked, still with a smile on her lips.
“It’s a shabby room, so all you’re going to serve is bottled water, would you like that?”
“I don’t need it. I’m not here to drink anything.”
Speaking firmly, Ian jerked his chin at Philina’s bed in front of me and told me to sit down.
She walked slowly and stared at Ian, her butt against the bed.
Filina blurted out, a little bored.
“Anyway, tomorrow morning I’m going to the Imperial Palace again, so what did you do when you stepped here?”
In response to her question, Ian braided one leg and said lazily:
“I don’t think I’ll be able to see you tomorrow because I’m busy with my schedule. But today I have time.”
“…… Am I really supposed to fill a place where Your Highness is not even present?”
In response to her dry question, Ian folded his eyes in half and said plainly:
“Sounds obvious.”
A sigh slipped between Philina’s lips.
Ian, who had been looking down at her serenely, suddenly asked, his expression hardening.
“Wasn’t the one who was with you the Duke of Argeny?”
Filina replied with a nonchalant face.
“That’s right.”
“But why did you two come down separately? Most of the other cadets came alone or with their own teams.”
“That’s because Henry wanted the two of them to move separately.”
At the sound of her nonchalant voice, Ian’s face hardened coldly.
I could see his eyebrows twitching.
Ian asked the question again in a low voice.
“…… Argeny wanted to go with you?”
Instead of answering, she smiled lightly.
Ian, who was staring at her intently, said in a voice of bewilderment.
“Then why did you agree? And since when did you call him so affectionately?”
At the sound of his nervous voice, Filina sighed.
“Your Highness, why do I have to explain all of that? I am not your Highness’s lover. So whatever I do with the other man is not for your Highness to interfere with.”
Ian’s golden eyes glared at her sharply.
His jealous gaze was terribly insidious.
Filina pressed her temples with a tired face.
In the evening, Filina took Huey out of the dormitory. It was to go through the forest of hallucinations to find Lee.
But Huey kept leaning on me, making it hard for me to walk.
Filina slapped him on the back in annoyance.
“Why don’t you walk properly? I can leave you apart and go to the hallucinatory forest by myself.”
Of course, I doubted that Weaver would open the kennel door, but I was frustrated and blurted it out.
Then Huey pursed his lips and said:
“It’s deadly. I’m going to go on vacation alone.”
He pouted, looking at Filina with a pout.
“Did you leave in a hurry because you feared that I would forcibly take away your time? You don’t even say a word about that?”
Huey was furious that she had gone on vacation alone without saying a word.
Apparently, he was on vacation with me, so he was going to use it around the same time.
In fact, Filina split her vacation into two halves, even though she had more time left.
Filina opened her mouth, her brows narrowed.
“Honestly, you’re trying to take my time.”
“No, I’ve given you three days, so you can play with me one day or so.”
“Three days? You said you only gave him three days off, and he said it was a pinch.”
“…… I don’t know man. I don’t remember.”
At her words, Huey rolled his eyes, pretending not to know.
Philina, who had been staring at him pathetically, opened her mouth with a pale face.
“As you say, it’s only three days, so I don’t have time to play with you.”
“But why did you come so soon? If you’ve used your vacation from yesterday to today, it’s only been two days. So, you’ll spend the rest of your day with me?”
His head spun unnecessarily.
Filina looked at Huey annoyed, then walked away.
He pursed his lips and magically unlocked the kennel.
“What kind of friend is this? I wanted something a little more intimate and a little bit more depth.”
Philina, who had been staring silently at him as he opened the door, said with a puzzled face.
“What, have you ever made friends before?”
Huey turned his head to look at her, as if it were obvious.
“I don’t have friends in the tower. At best, it’s all the nasty beasts under the tower.”
“Still, there must have been times when you lived close to people.”
At Philina’s words, he said with a look of annoyance just thinking about it.
“Ugh, I hate people so much. I want to turn off their attention on me.”
Huey shuddered and stroked both arms, then turned to Filina and said firmly:
“Of course, not you. I want you to pay attention to me, please.”
Filina asked, completely ignoring his words.
“Don’t you like excessive attention? So what about the disciples in the tower? If you’re friendly with other wizards, that’s kind of a friend.”
At her murmur, Huey snorted in disbelief.
“Where I have such friends?”
With that, he walked into the kennel.
Philina followed Huey in her tracks.
Now he had calmed the familiar demon and opened the door to the hallucinatory forest.
And Huey passed out without fail, but the time was reduced to 30 minutes, unlike when he didn’t wake up until an hour later.
He praised himself for his hard work, saying that his efforts so far are now paying off.
“Today is the time to see even a strand of the dragon’s beard.”
Huey made a firm determination, his red eyes shining brightly.
However, contrary to his ambitious voice, the surroundings were so devastating.
Only the faint sound of the wind drifted through the silent space.
Huey sighed to see if he felt it too, and pulled something out of his pocket.
Filina asked, frowning.
“What’s that?”
Huey replied with the corners of his mouth curled up in a silent face.
“My trump weapon.”
Philina narrowed her brows and carefully examined what was in his hand, then looked frightened.
A square wooden box contained all kinds of insects and earthworms.
Huey cast a spell over it and made the wind blow.
It’s as if they’re trying to make the smell of food spread outside.
Filina said to Huey with a puzzled face.
“You’re not trying to catch a dragon with that, are you?”
At her question, Huey smiled and opened his mouth.
“That’s right. That’s what dragons like.”
Philina said, looking dumbfounded.
“What kind of dragon do you think is a simple reptile? How could that big, tiny earthworm be seen as prey!”
She looked at Huey with a serious face, and spat out the words one more time.
“I’d rather lure you into prey. Do you want to hang from a tree?”
At Philina’s words, he shook his head in tears.
When she ordered the insects spread out on the floor to be released into the grass, Huey quickly complied.
“How can I find a dragon? Why will it show up so quickly, when I can’t see a hair on his head?”
He muttered annoyedly and looked around.
Then Huey’s gaze stopped behind a tree in the distance.
Filina turned her head in the direction he was looking.
Back in the day, when Philina first met Lee, it was the tree where he was hiding. Behind them, two black puppies wagged their tails gently, staring in the direction of Filina.
Next to him, Huey kicked the tip of his tongue and squealed.
“Anyway, if the dragon doesn’t come, we’ll take care of the puppies.”
Previously, Huey had chased the puppies and threatened them to show up where the dragon was.
But he didn’t have much info, and he turned his head away, wondering if he can get any information from the dog anymore.
Filina, on the other hand, stared at them silently.
The black puppies kept wagging their tails, as if they recognized Philina.
Then, suddenly, it turned and ran in a certain direction, then looked behind him again.
I could see a small tail moving gently in the air.
“…… I guess it’s asking us to follow it somehow.”
She muttered softly, and Huey waved his hand and opened his mouth roughly.
“No, it doesn’t. It doesn’t know anything. I’ve threatened it to tell us where the dragon is, but the stupid ones just run away.”
But Pilina ignored him and walked cautiously to where the dog was.
“C’mon, you always ignore my words.”
Huey mumbled, pursing his lips and slowly followed behind her.
Then the black puppies that had been wagging their tails at Filina spun around in place and whined.
Filina said, turning to Huey.
“Huey, follow me from a distance.”
Apparently, the black dogs were afraid of Huey.
At Philina’s words, he groaned behind him as if he was sad, widening the distance.
The black puppies ran towards somewhere again.
It wasn’t long before I came to a place where a pile of gloomy branches was piled up.
There was a small boy lying alone.
Philina’s eyes widened.
It was certainly Lee.
As if to prove it, Huey, who had been following her, closed his mouth and gasped.
“Ugh, my stomach is rumbling . . . Spare me, Philina.”
He paused in place, stern, and Philina looked back at Huey for a moment before opening her mouth.
“You stay here. I’ll go and see how Lee is doing.”
He stared at Pilina with a frown contorted.
She walked slowly to the puppies.
Black puppies circled around Lee and licked his cheeks with small.
But Lee didn’t show any signs of moving.
