"It's been eight years, and it all comes down to this! Cough, cough, cough!"

In the dimly lit room, a frail, short, white-haired man covered his mouth and coughed twice. When he pulled his hand away, it was stained with blood.

Slowly lowering his hand, the white-haired man gazed out the window. From there, he could see a blond boy wearing sunglasses, strutting proudly down the street, looking around with a haughty air. Beneath him sat a tall man, his hands and feet shackled in iron chains.

"Doflamingo, the perfect vessel for soul possession!" the white-haired man muttered to himself. Looking at the boy, his eyes revealed unmasked anger, hatred, and greed.

"Hey! Celestial Beings! You'd better pray that my soul possession fails this time, or I'll make you all pay, you stupid pigs!"

This was the world of One Piece, the sacred land of the Celestial Beings, Mariejoa. The frail, white-haired man was a common slave of the Celestial Beings, named Steve.

The only unusual thing about him was that he was a穿越者 (穿越者 means "穿越者" in Chinese, which can be translated as "transmigrator" or "穿越者" in English, but in this context, it means someone who has been transported to another world or universe).

Eight years ago, when Wang Sen first transmigrated to the world of One Piece, he was utterly despairing.

In the modern world, he was just an ordinary, weak, and unhealthy writer. How could he suddenly transmigrate after a single night's sleep?

So be it, he thought. But the Steve he transmigrated into was a slave of the Celestial Beings!

What were the Celestial Beings? Anyone who had watched One Piece knew that they were a bunch of heartless bastards who didn't value human life. How long could he survive under their rule?

Wang Sen didn't know how long he could live, but he knew that his predecessor, Steve, had been tortured to death by the Celestial Beings before he transmigrated into him.

At that time, the newly reborn Steve had made a plan. He would wait for two days to see if he had any special abilities. If not, he would take one of his "masters" down with him before he died.

Even though the Celestial Beings had a large group of bodyguards, the chances of success were slim, but he would still make them bleed. After all, what was there to fear at this point?

The next morning at eight o'clock, his special ability arrived. A flood of fragmented, chaotic, and unrecognizable memories were forcibly crammed into Wang Sen's brain.

One moment, he was a fish swimming in a lake, the next, he was a bird flying in the sky, and then a series of other chaotic and mostly unidentifiable scenes.

All the memories were fragmented, so fragmented that none lasted more than a second.

Apart from making Wang Sen clutch his head, roll on the ground, and bang his head against the wall until it almost shattered, there was nothing of value.

When Wang Sen finally regained consciousness, he spent a long time investigating before he finally perceived his so-called special ability.

It was a broken system, perhaps originally called the Soul Check-in System.

Every two days, he could check in a complete soul from the system and extract skills from it. Over time, he could check in more powerful souls and abilities.

However, this was all in the past. Who knew what had happened to the system, but it was now in a state of disrepair.

The system could still check in souls, but there was no option to refuse.

Worse still, the module that stored souls had malfunctioned, and all the souls had merged into a chaotic sea of souls that could not be repaired.

As a result, every time it was check-in time, the system would extract a soul fragment equivalent to the check-in reward and forcibly stuff it into Wang Sen's brain.

Naturally, these memories were like a pile of shredded banknotes randomly glued together, providing no benefit to Wang Sen and instead pushing him further down the path of mental breakdown due to the loss of a protective mechanism for his soul.

However, under the torment of this cursed special ability, Wang Sen initially couldn't even think without severe headaches, and the idea of taking down a Celestial Being with him naturally didn't come to fruition.

Under normal circumstances, he would have been disposed of by the Celestial Beings long ago. However, the foolish Celestial Being found Wang Sen's daily "performance" of banging his head against the wall amusing, which allowed him to survive.

Perhaps it was a turn for the better, or perhaps his luck had finally turned around. When his "master" grew tired of the performance, Wang Sen finally met his benefactor, Donquixote Homing.

This unusual Celestial Being was in a good mood because his wife was pregnant at the time. He took back some severely injured or ill slaves from other Celestial Beings to treat them, performing some charitable acts.

At that time, Wang Sen, who had developed some resistance to the soul explosions, was relatively clear-headed except during the daily check-in.

He clearly recognized that this might be his only chance to change his fate.

Donquixote Homing was a rare kind of Celestial Being, one who could be considered kind.

Although Wang Sen didn't know how he became such a good person among the ruling class of Celestial Beings, he understood that with his protection, he could truly live a normal life in this hell on earth.

So, when he regained some clarity, he began to display his abilities in front of Donquixote Homing.

What could a writer display? Naturally, his storytelling ability.

Especially in such a different world, it was easy to adapt famous works from other worlds.

Whether it was "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" or "Journey to the West," he could change the background and pass them off as his own creations.

This earned him the favor of the emotionally sensitive Celestial Being, and he even gained a certain reputation among the Celestial Beings, becoming a relatively "noble" slave.

Wang Sen, of course, didn't care about his status as a "noble" slave. His only goal was to escape this place and, if possible, set it on fire before he left.

However, first, he needed to solve the problem of his cursed special ability.

Getting used to the so-called soul explosions didn't mean that the forced soul infusion didn't harm him. In fact, he already had some symptoms of schizophrenia, and if it continued, he would likely become a mental patient.

The world of One Piece had no psychologists, and even if it did, they couldn't treat his condition. Desperate, Wang Sen turned his attention to the most mysterious treasure in the One Piece world: the Devil Fruits.

In Wang Sen's view, the Ghost Fruit or Soul Fruit, which were psychic-type Devil Fruits, might be able to deal with his cursed special ability if developed properly.

But as a slave, the idea of obtaining a Devil Fruit on his own was a pipe dream.

Fortunately, he was a slave of the Celestial Beings, and it wasn't a big deal for them to give slaves Devil Fruits.

In the Devil Fruit encyclopedia, he had once discovered a Hypnosis Fruit. This time, he decided to focus on it.

How to make the Celestial Beings willingly give him the Hypnosis Fruit? It was actually quite simple, as long as he used his brain.

Well, it wasn't too difficult, considering that the Celestial Beings, though not good people, were known for being foolish and rich. Deceiving these idiots wasn't too hard.

He simply told the group of Celestial Beings who listened to his stories every day that if he had the Hypnosis Fruit, he could bring the stories to life through illusions, making them more immersive than just listening.

A group of idle Celestial Beings immediately ordered their subordinates to search the seas for the Hypnosis Fruit. In just a month, they delivered it to him.

After eating the Hypnosis Fruit, Wang Sen kept his promise and gave the Celestial Beings a demonstration of the immersive experience, which further elevated his status as a slave.

But most importantly, he removed the sword of Damocles hanging over his head, turning his cursed special ability back into a true golden finger.
