TBTPL Chapter 6

“Heh, heh.”

His gloved hands were not cold, but they were still stimulating enough for Sylvia, who had never been touched by the opposite gender before.

She reflexively trembled. When Arthur saw Sylvia's condition, he said with his eyes and voice,

“Oh, you're lovely. Your ears are all red.”

“Ha... Let go of me.”

“As much as I'd like to, you seem to run away when I do.”

For some reason, I was pulled and held in Arthur's chest.

(Hehe!)

Suddenly, at close quarters, I saw Arthur's beautiful face close up.

I was about to cry because I had always liked him and I was so excited.

I wondered if it was the perfume I was wearing. The sweet scent made me dizzy.

The voice of the voice actor I admired was working perfectly, and I had succeeded in gluing myself into Arthur's arms.

A sweet voice rang in my ear.

“Hey, Sylvie. Please don't run away.”

(Ahhhhh... voice actor's miracle voice-over...)

His face and voice were to her liking.

When he even breathed on her, she had no choice but to nod no matter what he said.

“Okay, okay. I understand, so let... go.”

If not, I would die from too much moaning. I was aware that my voice was trembling.

“I can't help it.”

I begged and pleaded with him, struggling and flailed my arms, and he finally let me go.

I desperately wanted to cower there, but I held on.

I didn't have to see it to know it. I was sure my face was bright red.

The voice that just whispered to me reverberated in my head and I felt like I was going to faint.

I wondered if anyone had a recording of this so I could calm down and listen back.

(No, no, no, this is not the time to be thinking about that.)

Arthur looked at Sylvia, who was about to collapse, and chuckled with genuine satisfaction.

Dietrich looked at them and tilted his head in confusion.

”...Really, that's not even like you. What the hell happened to you?”

'I'd rather know,' Sylvia thought to herself, but wisely didn't say anything.

As I struggled to regain my ragged breathing and red face, Arthur held out his hand and said, “Come on,”

“Let's go, then. Leave that thing alone.”

The 'thing' must be Dietrich. As Sylvia stared at Arthur's hand, wondering what to do, Dietrich said impatiently,

“Wait a minute, His Majesty wants to see you. Pri...”

“Dietrich!”

What could probably have continued with the Prince was interrupted by Arthur's rebuke.

He didn't know why he had been stopped from speaking.

Dietrich was puzzled for a moment, but when he noticed Arthur's sharp gaze, he finally understood what was happening.

Arthur was wearing a knight's uniform. He remembered that when he was dressed like this, he used a fake name.

“Dietrich, shut up for a moment. The more you talk, the more you complicate things.”

“I, I'm sorry.”

Sighing, Arthur smiled at Sylvia.

“I'm sorry, my Lady. It seems that I have been summoned by His Majesty the King.

If it were possible, I would have sent for you myself, and asked you to dance with me, but that will have to wait until another time.

...In the meantime, I'm reluctantly going to let Dietrich lead you to the venue.

Please be careful on your way home. ...Be very careful not to get any strange insects on you.”

“It's... alright. But I'm sure Mr. Dietrich would be busy...”

“It's all right. He's a knight too. I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige a colleague.”

Colleagues. Arthur emphasised the word.

But his attitude was too big for that, wasn't it? In fact, it was fine if he was a squire, but for now, they were both knights.

I sneaked a glance at Dietrich, who, as I suspected, had a 'who's your colleague?' look on his face.

Our eyes meet. His face quickly changed to something more dignified. I wanted to applaud the change. Brilliant.

“Don't be modest.”

“Well... then, please...”

When Sylvia, overcome by an atmosphere that made it impossible to refuse, sighed and nodded her approval, Arthur said, “I'm glad you understand,” and secretly said something to Dietrich.

At first Dietrich looked unsure, but gradually his expression became more serious.

”...I've just found Felix.”

“That's all you need to know. You'll do the rest.”

“Okay.”

When they had finished, Arthur turned to Sylvia, took her hand and opened his mouth.

“I'm sorry, but that's all for today. But I'm sure we'll meet again soon.”

The hand that was grasped was full of strength and pain.

And the heat in his voice and gaze was so strong that even Sylvie could not reply except “Yes.”

It's all right. If I stayed away from the castle, I wouldn't have to deal with Arthur.

He laughed as if he was relieved, said a short “Goodbye,” and disappeared into the depths of the castle.

The two who remained were Sylvie and Dietrich.

I let out a sigh of relief.

I felt dazed from his mysterious intimidation.

But now that she was finally alone with Dietrich, Sylvia was too exhausted to be happy.

Because it was difficult. No event had occurred and I wanted to go home.

(Oh, God, I want to be alone. I want to go home. I'm sleepy.)

It was her heartfelt wish, but Dietrich, Arthur's loyal confidant and knight, would not allow her to do so.

He reverently bowed to Sylvia and, as was customary, held out his hand discreetly.

“Let's go on, then. Sylvia. I'm afraid I'm not enough, but I'll drive you to the hall on Felix's behalf.”

”...Please.”

This was enough.

With a heartfelt thought, Sylvia laid her own hand over Dietrich's.
