Chapter 2: Flee in Panic

Upon hearing the shouts outside the Ye residence, Liu Qin'er's face instantly changed, and she anxiously said, "What should we do? Brother Tian, it seems the Li family has come." Ye Fei, upon hearing this, immediately put down his chopsticks and stared at his parents without blinking, seemingly also realizing the gravity of the situation.

Seeing this, Li Jintian did not dare to be careless. He sneered and slapped his waist storage bag, and a yellow ring-shaped treasure appeared in the air. The ring shot towards the Green Origin Sword.

Then, several men behind Li Jintian released their treasures and talismans, attacking Ye Tian to force him to withdraw his sword.

Seeing this, Ye Tian's eyes narrowed, and he summoned the Green Origin Sword to protect himself. Several attacks hit the sword, making a series of crackling sounds, and the sword emitted colorful lights.

"Brother Tian, I will help you," Liu Qin'er said, and then cast a spell, her face turning abnormally red. She raised her hand, and three half-foot-long silver needles shot out, heading towards Li Jintian.

Seeing this, Li Jintian sneered and summoned the ring to protect himself. The three silver needles could not penetrate the ring's defense and were eventually sucked into a vortex that appeared in the ring.

'Puff,' Liu Qin'er spat out a mouthful of blood, her face turning extremely pale. Everything happened too quickly, and Ye Tian did not have time to react.

"Qin'er, no, you must not use your magic power," Ye Tian shouted, but it was too late to stop her. His eyes turned red, and he changed the spell in his hand, sending a beam of light into the sword. With a hum, the sword's light intensified, and its size increased, turning into a massive sword that hummed as it slashed down at Li Jintian.

After doing this, Ye Tian's face also turned pale, clearly showing the strain of such an attack.

Seeing Ye Tian finally fighting back, Li Jintian's face turned serious. He cast spells with his hands, and finally pointed at the ring in front of him. A series of crackling sounds erupted, and the ring emitted several silver arcs, showing immense power. The ring then shot towards the massive sword in the air.

The men behind Li Jintian also released their treasures and talismans, taking the opportunity to attack Liu Qin'er.

The Green Origin Sword and the massive ring finally collided. A loud boom echoed, and a blinding light burst in the air, followed by a terrifying shockwave that swept through the surroundings. The entire Ye family building exploded, and debris and dust filled the air, enveloping the entire Ye family estate.

In a cave, the ground was covered with broken stones. On a flat stone bed in the middle, a boy in white clothes lay covered in blood, seemingly unconscious. This boy was Ye Fei, but it was unclear how he ended up here, and his clothes were in disarray.

After an unknown amount of time, Ye Fei's fingers twitched, and his young face showed signs of shock and worry. Then, his lips moved, and he shouted, "Dad, Mom, don't leave Fei'er behind."

With a sudden jolt, Ye Fei sat up. "Cough, cough." He patted his chest, recalling the previous scene. Soon, his eyes turned red, and tears fell.

"I can't cry. Dad said I have grown up, and I must learn to be strong. If, I mean if, Dad and Mom really have an accident, I will avenge you, I will," Ye Fei said, forcing back his tears and showing a determined and stubborn expression.

This blow was too great for a thirteen or fourteen-year-old child, like a sudden nightmare, making it hard to accept. But Ye Fei, despite the pain in his heart, held back his tears.

After a while, Ye Fei calmed down and said softly, "I don't know where this is. I should first find a way out and then think about avenging them." He began to observe his surroundings, his face serious.

The cave was empty, with no special features. There were several cave entrances, from which a whistling wind blew, suggesting they led to other places.

"Strange, how did I get here? Was I saved by someone? How could the teleportation talisman safely bring me to this stone bed? It looks like this stone bed was recently repaired," Ye Fei said, looking at the flat stone bed beneath him, which seemed to have been recently repaired, with a puzzled expression.

After a moment of thought, he noticed some bloodstains on the ground leading to one of the cave entrances. Seeing this, Ye Fei stood up, but a sudden pain from his body made him wince.

He then cautiously walked towards the cave entrance, his other hand on his waist.

After a short while, he walked out of the cave entrance with bloodstains and immediately felt dizzy. What he saw was a bottomless cliff shrouded in thick fog. Ye Fei almost fell off the cliff. It turned out that the cave was on a cliff wall. He recalled the strange dream and touched the necklace around his neck.

Looking at the cave entrance, he said, "This is my blood. It seems I was not originally unconscious on the stone bed. What is going on?" Ye Fei was filled with doubt. Before he could finish speaking, a loud roar came from behind him.

Hearing the roar, Ye Fei's face changed, and he quickly turned around. Before he could react, a blue-eyed giant leopard pounced at him with a terrifying roar, creating a strong wind.

Instinctively, Ye Fei took a step back, but his foot slipped, and he fell off the cliff with a swoosh. (End of Chapter)
