At the cave entrance, the ground was littered with shattered rocks. Following the exit, Ye Fei was startled by the scene outside. A black leopard, over half a zhang tall, was covered in wounds, some of which were oozing flesh. It was staring at a green python, about a zhang in size, with bloodshot eyes.

"Big Green Python?" Ye Fei exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the green python. The python's condition was no better; its tail was clearly less flexible, and its head was covered in blood, with several bones exposed. Its aura was also much weaker.

It looked quite seriously injured. This guy had just advanced to the Core Formation stage, so why did he go out to cause trouble? And the one who injured this big python must also be a formidable opponent.

I'm currently at the peak of the Qi Condensation stage. In this kind of fight, I can't really help much. That big creature could kill me with a single swipe. And once that big python is killed, I won't have a chance to live either.

But if I take advantage of their fight, I might have a chance to escape. Ye Fei was in a dilemma, his mind racing.

After a moment, just as the black leopard roared and seemed about to attack again, Ye Fei glanced at the black leopard, his eyes darted, and then he straightened his face, dashing to the exit.

Seeing this, the green python's eyes widened in surprise, and the black leopard turned its head, looking at Ye Fei with a puzzled expression.

Ye Fei ignored the two beasts, slapped his waist, and the Yuan Guang Sword appeared in his hand with a swoosh. Then, Ye Fei released his divine sense without reservation, scanning the black leopard instantly.

When the black leopard saw Ye Fei summon the Yuan Guang Sword, it didn't react much, but when it felt Ye Fei's divine sense, its eyes narrowed, and it began to be cautious, its eyes darting around and looking at its own wounds.

After a moment, the black leopard roared to the sky, glared at the green python, glanced at Ye Fei, and then strode away. After the leopard disappeared completely, a while passed.

Ye Fei plopped down on the ground, his heart pounding, his back drenched in cold sweat. "That was close," Ye Fei patted his chest, still feeling the aftereffects.

The green python, ignoring its own injuries, looked at Ye Fei strangely and transmitted a message, "Master, did I sense it wrong? Why do you have the aura of a human at the Foundation Establishment stage? Could it be that you've advanced to the Foundation Establishment stage?" The green python looked at Ye Fei, disbelieving.

"Hehe, just to scare it. I only have the aura, not the strength," Ye Fei said with a bitter smile.

The green python's eyes darted, looking at Ye Fei with suspicion, and continued, "Wasn't Master in great danger just now? Why didn't you run away when we were fighting?" The green python stared at Ye Fei tightly.

"Run away? Haha, even if I run, we should run together. After all, you are my spirit beast now. How can I just watch you be killed by that big creature? When there's danger, we face it together," Ye Fei said sincerely, his eyes filled with determination.

"When there's danger, we face it together?" The green python repeated these words silently. After a moment, it looked at Ye Fei's determined and sincere smile and made a decision.

Then, the green python stared at Ye Fei for a long time and transmitted, "Master, you've saved me twice. Xiao Qing is willing to follow you from now on."

"What? Did I hear wrong?" Ye Fei was taken aback, his young face showing confusion as he scratched his head.

"No, you didn't hear wrong. Seeing how weak you are, I'm worried about my future. Master, work hard to cultivate. I'll go find some medicinal herbs to heal my injuries." With that, the green python's body shimmered with light and quickly shrank to about three feet in size, then darted away.

Ye Fei stared at where the green python had disappeared, then took a deep breath and whispered, "I made the right bet. It seems that sincerity is the key. Only by risking your life to save someone will they be willing to do the same for you."

Ye Fei stood up and walked into the cave. "I'm a bit hungry. Let's get some food first." He walked towards the corpse of the three-legged toad.

...

In Taoyuan Town, the events involving the Ye and Li families had caused a stir. After all, these two families were considered mid-to-upper level forces in the town. People on the streets were discussing the Ye family's destruction in groups.

On a wide street, some ancient buildings stood on both sides, with people coming and going, entering and exiting shops. In one of the taverns, two cultivators were chatting.

"The Li family is really growing. It's said they sent their descendants to a major sect to become disciples. After that, no one will dare to mess with the Li family," a long-faced man said, putting down his cup and shaking his head.

Hearing this, an old man in a red robe narrowed his eyes, cautiously looking around, then whispered, "Zhu Daoist, it's best not to discuss this. The Ye family has been exterminated. We'd better not get involved."

"Hmph, if they did it, why should they fear us talking about it? The Ye family suffered greatly. After Ye Qiang was killed, Ye Tian's family of three didn't survive. Sigh. Ye Tian was a righteous man, fighting evil and doing good, but he ended up like this," the long-faced man said, raising his cup to his lips and drinking it all in one go, clearly unwilling.

The old man on the opposite side just shook his head helplessly and didn't respond. The two of them drank in silence, the atmosphere somewhat oppressive.

...

In the center of Taoyuan Town, there was a tall three-story building with a bronze surface, shimmering with a faint light. Two stone lions, taller than a person, stood at the entrance, looking fierce. From a distance, it gave off an imposing aura, clearly not a residence for ordinary people.

Above the building hung a green plaque with two golden characters: "Li Manor."

At the entrance of Li Manor, four guards in green robes stood, each holding a silver spear, making the place look heavily guarded. Passersby often dared not even look, quickly bypassing and hurrying away.

In the main hall of Li Manor, the space wasn't large but was exceptionally bright, with several cow-sized night pearls embedded in the walls, illuminating the entire hall like daylight.

In the center was a light golden chair, where a man in a green robe sat. Below were two rows of ordinary chairs, and a man in black sat on one, looking respectfully at the man in the green robe.

If Ye Fei were here, he would recognize this man as the leader who led the massacre of the Ye family.

At this moment, the man in the green robe sipped his tea, glanced at the man in black, and asked, "Jin Tian, you've been busy with your child's affairs and haven't come to chat. Did the Ye Tian family of three all perish?"

Hearing this, Li Jin Tian's expression changed slightly, his eyes twitching, then he said respectfully, "Clan Leader, rest assured. The family of three was all killed on the spot, and several of my subordinates witnessed it."

"Hmm, I heard some of it, but I'm relieved to hear it from you. However, the last few treasures were not found. Do you know why?" The old man, Li Jin Nan, the clan leader, asked casually, looking at Li Jin Tian.

"Clan Leader, I'm also puzzled. We searched the Ye family's entire place but found no treasures. The storage bags of the couple were sent to you by my subordinates. Could they have hidden them somewhere?" Li Jin Tian said, showing a hint of confusion.

The man in the green robe thought for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, Jin Tian. For the next few days, investigate who the Ye couple interacted with recently. If you find anyone related, bring them here."

"Yes, Clan Leader, I'll take my leave." Li Jin Tian stood up and bowed to the man in the green robe.

"Alright, go. Report back quickly if anything happens." The man in the green robe watched Li Jin Tian leave, then narrowed his eyes, deep in thought. The hall became quiet.

...

Unaware of the changes in the outside world, Ye Fei, deep in the Thousand Cleft Cliff, focused solely on cultivation, often pondering the nameless cultivation technique.

A year later, at the edge of the top of the Thousand Cleft Cliff, a stream of light shot out from the bottom of the cliff. Upon closer inspection, it was a green python about a zhang in size, carrying a young man in white, emerging from the bottom of the cliff.

With a "thud," they landed heavily at the edge of a dense forest, raising a cloud of dust.

"Cough, cough. Xiao Qing, are you trying to kill me?" The young man patted the dust off his clothes, leaped off the python, and said with a hint of anger.

"Ah, Master, please understand. We flew for three months, with only a few breaks. This last time was the longest, and Xiao Qing is really out of energy, sigh," the green python transmitted.

These two were Ye Fei and his spirit beast, Qing Yuan Python.

It turned out that three months ago, Ye Fei's cultivation had reached the Xiantian stage, the seventh layer of the Qi Condensation stage. Feeling no further progress, he and Qing Yuan Python decided to leave and join a sect. Though it wouldn't be easy, only this way could his cultivation advance quickly.

After a year, Ye Fei's physique had grown, and his face had lost some of its youthful innocence, gaining more determination. He was only fifteen, but perhaps the events of a year ago had accelerated his growth.

Thus, the man and the python rested for about a week before setting off. Ye Fei sat on the python, and Qing Yuan Python darted into the forest, heading in a certain direction.

"Xiao Qing, once we're out of the forest, we should be close to a town. To avoid trouble, you'll have to hide," Ye Fei said to Qing Yuan Python, watching the shrubs rush past on both sides, creating a whistling wind.

"Master, what's there to fear? Anyone who causes trouble, Xiao Qing will swallow them, hmpf," Qing Yuan Python transmitted carelessly.

Ye Fei shook his head and said softly, "Absolutely not. If other high-level cultivators notice, you'll be in danger. And... hmm?" He suddenly looked ahead in confusion.

"Stop quickly, Xiao Qing. There seems to be a fight ahead," Ye Fei suddenly ordered, sensing something.
