"Ah!"

Liu Leyi was about to cast a spell to block the green monster horse, but due to her shaken mind, the magic power within her body failed to flow smoothly, and she couldn't help but let out a cry of alarm.

At the critical moment, she felt a sudden darkness before her eyes. It was Liu Shi who suddenly stepped forward, his tall figure blocking her from harm. At the same time, he extended his hand like lightning, grabbing the horse's neck, which was as thick as a bucket, and with a side step, he collided with the green monster horse.

A loud boom echoed!

In its high-pitched neigh, the green monster horse seemed to have hit a massive wall, its huge body stopping abruptly. Due to the intense momentum, even the hard stone slabs on the nearby street were shattered by its iron hooves.

The silver carriage, propelled by inertia, crashed into the rear of the green monster horse, flew sideways for several yards, and then landed heavily on the ground with a thud.

Although the carriage did not flip over, its shape was severely deformed, and various items scattered on the ground.

The driver, unable to maintain his balance, almost fell off the carriage.

The tall young man, however, stood firm like a nail, unmoving.

The crowd nearby, witnessing this scene, were stunned. Someone on a teahouse balcony even exclaimed, "Divine strength!"

Liu Leyi patted her chest, then looked at the tall figure in front of her, feeling a warm sensation in her heart.

In the past few years, whenever she encountered danger, "Big Brother Stone" would instinctively step forward to protect her.

Their relationship was closer than that of family.

The green monster horse, blocked by Liu Shi, became even more agitated. With a loud neigh, it lowered its head and charged at Liu Shi's chest.

"Big Brother Stone, be careful!" Liu Leyi exclaimed in alarm.

Liu Shi, expressionless, increased the force on the arm that was gripping the horse's neck and pressed down.

With a "thud," the horse's legs bent, and its massive body was pressed to the ground, kneeling. The surrounding stone slabs were all shattered.

It seemed as if a mountain was pressing down on its body, its bones almost disintegrating. The bloodshot eyes finally lost their ferocity, revealing fear.

Faced with Liu Shi's overwhelming strength, the monster horse finally calmed down, lying on the ground without moving.

"Such incredible strength! The force of that horse's charge must have been at least four or five thousand pounds, and this man could easily stop it!"

"Remarkable!"

"I wonder whose carriage this is, daring to gallop through the market. If it weren't for this brave man, many people would have been hurt!"

The crowd finally came to their senses and began to discuss the incident.

Liu Shi, expressionless, released his arm and stood still.

The green monster horse, though no longer restrained, still panted heavily, too afraid to stand up.

"Big Brother Stone, are you okay?" Liu Leyi hurriedly checked Liu Shi's body, and only then did she breathe a sigh of relief when she saw he was unharmed.

The driver, already pale, now collapsed onto the carriage shaft, completely drained of strength.

At this moment, the carriage door opened, and two young men with pale faces jumped out.

The first was a man in his early twenties, wearing a white scholar's robe, with a handsome face.

The other looked to be only seventeen or eighteen, with a face like a jade, clear eyes, and rosy lips. He wore a white long robe, a jade belt, and a jade crown with a pearl the size of a pigeon's egg, far more elegant than his companion in the scholar's robe.

"You dog, how did you drive the carriage? You almost killed me!" The young man in the scholar's robe, still shaken, snatched the whip from the driver and began to beat him.

The driver, covered in bloody stripes, did not dare to dodge, kneeling and begging for mercy.

Seeing this, the young man in the scholar's robe became even angrier, and the whip strikes became faster.

"Be quiet, it's someone from the Yu family!"

"This is none of our business, don't say anything more."

...

Upon recognizing the two young men, the crowd's murmurs abruptly stopped, and they all looked at the two men with deference, clearly recognizing them.

"Second Brother, let it be. This isn't his fault. The Qingfeng horse is a low-level demon beast, inherently wild and hard to tame."

An arm suddenly reached out, blocking the scholar's wrist, and the whip stopped. It was the younger man in the white robe, his voice as clear and pleasant as a stream.

The young man in the scholar's robe glanced at the white-robed youth, his lips twitching, then he grunted and threw the whip away.

"Thank you, Seventh Young Master!" The driver bowed repeatedly to the white-robed youth.

"Get up. Take this silver to compensate those injured by the carriage and the damaged shops. If you handle this well, your punishment will be reduced." The white-robed youth handed a bag to the driver.

"Yes, yes." The driver nodded, took the silver, and went to the injured people.

"Thanks to this gentleman for subduing the Qingfeng horse. My brother and I are only slightly injured, but if others were hurt, it would be unforgivable." The white-robed youth turned to Liu Shi and smiled, bowing slightly.

The young man in the scholar's robe also looked at Liu Shi, noting his ordinary face, dark skin, and simple green robe, which made him appear somewhat shabby. He felt a bit of disdain and reluctantly bowed.

Liu Shi's gaze was expressionless, and he remained silent.

The young man in the scholar's robe, unused to being ignored, was about to react angrily but was stopped by the white-robed youth.

The youth carefully examined Liu Shi, noticing something unusual in his eyes, and his heart stirred.

The crowd was growing, and Liu Leyi felt uneasy, pulling Liu Shi and whispering, "Big Brother Stone, let's go."

The white-robed youth, noticing Liu Leyi, was immediately drawn to her porcelain-like delicate face. He quickly stepped forward and said, "Please wait a moment."

"What is it?" Liu Leyi stopped, frowning, her face looking a bit fierce.

"My name is Yu Qi. The carriage from our manor almost hit you, and I deeply apologize." The white-robed youth smiled.

"We're fine, move aside." Liu Leyi said, her face stern.

"Thanks to this gentleman's help today. If we don't repay him, I would feel uneasy. Our manor is not far from here. Could you please come to my residence for a moment? I would like to show my gratitude." Yu Qi said slowly.

"No need. It was just a small effort. My brother and I have other matters to attend to." Liu Leyi shook her head, pulling Liu Shi to go around the man.

"Wait, could your urgent matter be seeking medical help for your brother?" Yu Qi suddenly asked, looking at the tall young man.

"How... how do you know that?" Liu Leyi was startled, her face showing surprise.

"I have a very sensitive nose. I can smell the herbal scent on you, so you must have just come from the nearby Yujuzhai. This gentleman, though incredibly strong, seems to have some mental issues, which is why I guessed. It seems I was right." Yu Qi smiled, his face, though male, exuding a strange charm.

Even Liu Leyi, a young girl, was momentarily stunned but quickly turned to look at Liu Shi. Seeing his expressionless face, she felt a slight relief.

The white-robed youth, having reined in his "charming" smile, continued, "Little sister, our Yu family has some influence in Mingyuan City and knows many famous doctors. If you need medical help, we can assist."

"That's true, we came to Mingyuan City for medical help, but my brother's illness can't be treated by ordinary doctors." Liu Leyi shook her head.

"From what I see, your brother's condition is not ordinary. However, we have a guest master in our manor who is a skilled physician, far superior to ordinary doctors. Why don't we ask him to examine your brother?" Yu Qi frowned but then smiled again, looking at Liu Shi and Liu Leyi.

"Master... Master..." Liu Leyi's eyes lit up, hesitating.

"Please don't refuse. I would feel better if I could help. Not to boast, but in the entire Mingyuan City, although there are other masters, if we talk about medical skills, our guest master is unmatched." Yu Qi's eyes flickered, and he said proudly.

"Alright, we can go with you. But if this master can't cure my brother, we will leave immediately." Liu Leyi was finally convinced by Yu Qi's last words and reluctantly agreed.

"Of course. By the way, may I know your names?" Yu Qi was delighted and quickly asked.

Liu Leyi hesitated for a moment and then gave her and Liu Shi's names.

"So, you are Leyi and Liu Shi." Yu Qi nodded.

"Seventh Brother, these two are unknown. How can you bring them home and even ask a master to treat them?" The young man in the scholar's robe, who had been standing aside, now spoke, his face not looking good.

"No problem, I have my reasons. Second Brother, don't worry." Yu Qi waved his hand, speaking casually.

The young man in the scholar's robe seemed to fear Yu Qi, his lips moving as if he wanted to say something but ultimately remained silent.

At this moment, several guards in bright clothing, carrying swords, hurried over from a distance.

The crowd, seeing this, dispersed quickly, clearly fearing these guards.

The guards ignored the crowd, quickly bowing to Yu Qi and the others.

"Seventh Young Master, Second Young Master, we are late. Please forgive us."

"We are fine. No need to make a fuss. Take the carriage back first, and don't publicize this." Yu Qi said calmly.

"Yes."

The guards nodded and quickly led the green monster horse away.

"Please follow me." The white-robed youth, having dealt with the situation, smiled at Liu Leyi and Liu Shi and walked ahead.

Liu Leyi looked at Liu Shi, tightened her grip on his hand, and followed Yu Qi.

The young man in the scholar's robe, watching them leave, looked increasingly unhappy. After standing for a while, he stomped his foot and followed.

...

"Ha ha, interesting! She is the one with good cultivation potential, whom the Prime Minister of Fengguo planned to send to the Lengyan Sect with great effort, right?" At a nondescript corner of a nearby street, two figures suddenly appeared. The one in front was a young man in black, with narrow eyes, looking at the direction where Yu Qi and the others had gone, his face full of evil intent.

"Be careful, Seventh Brother. The Yu family is said to have cultivators as protectors, and not just one. Don't underestimate them." Behind the black-robed youth was a thin, gray-robed man, with several bulging animal skin bags hanging from his waist. He also looked at the Yu family's retreating figures and said slowly.

"Master Fan, I know what to do. This is my first trial mission, and you are here to assist me. Unless there's a special reason, there's no need for you to act. I will handle everything." The black-robed youth said indifferently.

The gray-robed man, seeing this, smiled bitterly and said nothing more.

He knew his junior's character well. Though his cultivation was not high, he had a clan elder as a backer and always looked down on other disciples of the same rank.

As they spoke, their figures blurred and disappeared from the spot.
