Chapter 5.1

The award ceremony was being held at the small auditorium and would start at eight o’clock in the evening.

He heard the music even as he was coming from afar, then looked at the throng of people attending the event.

“It’s currently rehearsal time so Senior can go rest at the lounge for a while.” The female junior in charge of reception nervously led him through the staff passage to go backstage.

“It’s quite lively,” Xia Yuzhou with his mask on, putting his hands in his trouser pocket as he curiously looked around.

The small auditorium that could only accommodate 500 people was filled to the brim with more than 800 people. The corridor, along the steps, and even the open space under the stage was full of people. Currently on the stage was a rehearsal for the opening dance. They were adjusting the lighting while the music rang loudly.

“Our president attached a great importance to it.” The female junior whispered.

The Best School Heartthrob Competition was organized by the Association Federation. The Student Union scolded and pressured the Association Federation of Medical University for not managing to organize a decent event for a year. This Best School Heartthrob Competition was originally a joke. Who would have thought that almost all the girls would participate, creating such a huge momentum. The President of the Association then slapped his thigh as he announced, ”Make it bigger, that way it’ll be more lively!”

Such wine red color that exudes warm and tempting aura, when adorned in this person unexpectedly dissipated to a cold breeze. He sat there quietly flipping through the experimental reports in his hand, such an atmosphere made the people around him dare not approach.

“Could you be Senior He Yu?” Xia Yuzhou walked over and greeted the young man with his head bowed.

He Yu raised his head, glanced at the man wearing a half black mask and nodded slightly, “Hello.”

Hearing Xia Yuxhou’s words, He Yu looked up again and after a pause, he said, “I think so too.”

“Will you be performing?” When Xia Yuzhou took off his mask, he basically didn’t show his teeth, merely moving his lips when he spoke. When he’s serious he looked like a magnate in a Hong Kong Film, but when he’s not serious he appears harmless and sweet.

He didn’t know if the sticky and sweet voice poked the Senior’s moe2 point, but He Yu actually smiled and slowly took off his glasses to reveal a pair of beautiful smiling eyes. “No, I already asked for the program and we just need to go up the stage to receive the prize. It doesn’t matter if we don’t want to give a performance.”

The sudden gentle tone of his voice was vastly different to the coldness just now. Xia Yuzhou was a little flattered.

“Your name is Xia Yuzhou, right? I’ve seen your drama and it was very good. I even recommended it to my circle of friends.” He Yu showed him a picture of his sparse and pitiful circle of friends during last year’s performance. He was truly given much compliment in this drama.

Xia Yuzhou knew it, so it turned out to be a fan. He instantly relaxed and chatted with the senior happily. Even if it’s a boring question, He Yu will patiently discuss it with him.

“Is Si Jun not here yet?”

He Yu shrugged and said, “He probably would not come.”

As expected, when the awards were presented, the first place holder of the Best School Heartthrob was missing. The girls in the audience were obviously disappointed and clamoured for the Association of Federation to invite the person now. The President of the Association who held the first prize stood in the middle of the stage and glared at the girl in charge of liaison.

When He Yu received his prize, he gave a polite but short speech then stopped speaking. Xia Yuzhou looked at the awkward atmosphere, pulled up his mask and took the microphone to end the event, “Sigh, I didn’t see the appearance of the champion holder for the Best Heartthrob .
